Listen up cause I’m breaking everything down. I feel like no one understood how depressed he was all season 1 he was constantly yelled at even when asked what was going on no one really pushed him to say the issue. His drinking at laurels book thing concerned me so much because he kept going.Jeremiah fighting Conrad at the deb ball for protecting him from the truth. Having to deal with knowing his mom was dying all alone and not being able to tell people because he didn’t wanna make it real.Not letting himself tell belly how he felt because he didn’t want to start something with her and mess everything up. Having high expectations from everyone cause he’s the oldest. Belly drinks to much and somehow its conrads fault? 'your the oldest what the hell is going on with you?' they treat him as if he is the parent. (No wonder he's always taking full responsibility for everything that isnt his fault). Then all of season 2 it still seemed like no one cared or realized how sad he really was. Belly breaking up with him at prom when you can see he was very sad and needed to leave hell he even told her he didn’t want to ruin her night more than he already did and felt like he was disappointing her 😕.The funeral yes I get he said some messed up stuff to belly but he tried to tell her what was going on but she kept flipping out and making comments mist of him having a panic attack. The depression he had after everything went down with belly.Trying to deal with losing the house alone and even when belly and Jeremiah showed up all Jeremiah did was yell at him which I get maybe he was scared something might of happened to Conrad but why take angry instead of concern. His very low self of steam. The beach scene with belly he genuinely thought she knew how much he cared about her.The trash scene he tells her he thought he was doing right by her.He was willing to not go to Stanford to stay close to Jeremiah then seeing Jeremiah kissing the girl he’s still in love with, may I remind you they didn’t even ask about the exam results or put his feelings in consideration. Jeremiah asked Conrad and belly to talk just so he would know for sure that he would have her all to himself I don’t care what you say they didn’t give a shit about how he felt, they got immediately together when before Conrad waited and even asked Jeremiah for his blessing to be with belly. But once again he pushed his feelings aside and let her move on without guilt and be with Jeremiah. Everyone always says how mean and rude he is without seeing why or what’s really going on sometimes I wonder if I be watching the same show as some people. Conrad cares so much about everyone he cares about more than himself, there’s such a complexity to him. He doesn’t know how to process his feelings or say them and it pains me that so many Jeremiah Stan’s make fun of his panic attacks or when Jeremiah attacks him with his words. The party scene fight with Conrad and Jeremiah to Jeremiah Stan’s apparently “he ate him up” but all he did was make Conrad feel bad and talk bad to his own brother. I will never truly understand how people are team Jeremiah I understand he treats belly good I guess but he is a terrible brother, I Stan by the fact that he thinks being with belly is a competition he literally only went after her once he saw Conrad and belly almost kiss but then is so butt hurt when she kissed Conrad lmao. Season 3 will be amazing and I hope that Conrad gets therapy and is finally happy and I don’t mean by him being with belly I mean genuinely happy and happy with himself. - Connie girly 💕

OMG your summary was amazing, heartbreaking (in a good way) and so on point when it comes to Conrads character and his relationship with Belly and Jere and everyone else. I do like Jeres character and I like the friendship he shares with Belly. And you explained it so well when it comes to Conrad he is always really judgemental. I feel like everyone (parents, friends, even Jere) put Conrad on a podestel. It pretty much sums it up like in the books. Conrad put his father on a podestel and doesn't want to despice him after finding out he isn't that perfect guy he made him out to be. I feel like Jere holds so much anger against him bc Conrad was always favorised by their father and in general was made believed that Conrad is the better one in every way. But that ain't Conrads fault. I do get that Jere developed feelings for Belly as well, but he always knew how Belly felt abt him and he noticed his brothers happiness when Conrad thought that Belly and him might finally be able to get close in s1. So he tried to kinda sabotage that. Jeres growth in s2 suprised then in a positive way, but that jelousy and anger torwards Conrad remained imo. Yes he was ready to let Conrad be with Belly if Belly would've chosen Conrad, but it doens't necessarily make up for the other stuff he pulled in s2. Conrad always tries to look out for others and never acted angry with Jere or called him out on anything. So it makes me really sad as well, that his character is so misunerstood and called toxic just bc ppl can't understand him at all. I don't justify his actions, but ppl need to see where he is coming from. Really looking forward to s3 and a major Conrad glow up back to his healthy, funny, genuie and smart-ass self :). And I so hope Clevelands character will come back and work with Conrad on his issues or give him tips, as he had a great way of making him open up.

Y.E.S !!! This is 100000% true, Conrad is really the better brother and i get that Jeremiah had feelings for Belly too but he made it a competition and it annoys me so fricking much, loved Jere in the start, love Conrad in the end.

" YOUR the oldest." X way too many times. They all acted like he was 21 or 22 vs the High School kids.. When he was 1 year older than the boys and 2 years older than Belly. They all treated her like she was 13 instead of one year younger... That really stood out

Ahh look at you just casually dropping the best, most heartbreaking Conrad character edit! It's so heartbreaking that he's been dealing with so much and no one is really there to give him the support he needs- not fully. And watching this back I think it's so interesting because his "I feel like I keep disappointing you" at prom parallels him saying that in season 1 I think.. and then Belly tells him he's not, but then breaks up with him a minute later. So to him, he really is just disappointing everyone and he's breaking and alone. Conrad deserves better!😭💔

Conrad is the big brother to belly Jeremiah and Steven the first baby he has enough stuff he’s dealing with he didn’t tell Jeremiah because it might of broke him and stuff didn’t tell belly because she’s idk him and Laurel knew about Susannah’s cancer

@@rony8292 this is what I've been saying all along. Why didn't his mom figure it out she said numerous times not himself so angry.i know she had alot on her plate but he was her son. You would have thought she would have gotten him help.

everyone keeps saying how much of a jerk he is. But no one is barely talking about how hurt he has always been. There's always more to the selfish jerk mask that he's been wearing but people just decide to overlook that. To me, he will always be the most genuine character in the show. Yes, he has some things to work on, especially with his mental health, but other than that he's just someone who always tries to love his loved ones even if that means sacrificing his own happiness.
