Glad to see I'm not the only one who's figured out the bait strategy lol. I got four trebs launched at my peasant archers in a single game on that exact map. Best part is that I dodged it each time so I wasted their trebs and still got to keep the archers lol

Lol, I can remember even opponents all thanking a teammate when they threw a treb at the bridge, it was a masterpiece and I wouldnt ever use trebs on point B lol.

so do you guys have the ping system on your version of the game? i hardly see anyone use it but its very useful you can single or double click middle mouse to ping arty, structures , heros and units for the team to see, it shows the hp of heros when pinged as well

It was a change that happened while I was away and I keep forgetting to try. I do not see others using this system so perhaps that an indicator? I'll certainly give it a go as soon as I remember!

I have had that happen with axe raiders. It was either longbow or shortbow. He was perhaps around 10 yards away from them I hit the 2 key and the bowman ran off lookin like a porcupine. It was sort of a jaw drop moment.

Hey knightstalker, I really think you should give longbows more of a chance. They’ve become deadly since their buff (although I don’t know what got buffed) and they seem pretty meta for a t4. They obliterate range units from distances that can’t even be seen and they have better damage than imperial archers, funnily enough. They’re also very accurate and can actually kill most medium and light armour, even sometimes heavy armour heroes that dive. Crazy times where vassals are among the strongest of range units atm.

Yup. I have fully doctrined longbows with ammo + spearman dmg increase. And it can kill a lot of ranged + t4 and below unshielded units. Specially units like fortebrach , Imperial poleaxers that u see a lot nowadays get killed quickly But they're paper thin so u gotta position them secretly safe As Far As Possible.

I dont hate them as much as my vids might portray. They are really a specialist unit these days, like you say they do obliterate range units, even shenjis so they do have a role and a purpose. IMO they are accurate only at things standing still because the shot to target closure time is so long that the victim only has to step one pace in any direction during the ~5 seconds it takes for the arrow to get there for it to miss.

Knight, there is something weird with the new tier 5 charge doctrine, I have it on my monastics, and sometimes it lets me double charge, maybe some investigation is needed? I'm not sure

A thought occured so I thought I would ask it on here since this channel(also Evo')s seems to be my best source of advice concerning Conquerors Blade(hat tilt towards Knightstalker for sure. since he has answered most of my ridiculous amount of questions). But anyway how possible is it to get top 5 and/or mvp using support units? Such as alchemists, bagpipes, Z militia, vipers. That sort of thing. Does anyone on here have any thoughts on it?

Yes it is, but its difficult. I have a video called "Support unit MVP.. in Ranked!!" Or somwthing to that effect if you would like to see :)

There are places where longbows shine, if they can shoot at max range (with range doctrine) at ranged units the are probably best unit in the game Try them at Heilung Fjord attack on last point

I would call them a specialist, they do annihilate ranged units (even Shenjis) so they are not useless, but if not targeting a stationary squishy target they just pepper the enemy until they get annoyed and move.

Regarding LBs: Mixed feelings. I do well with them but I understand the hate they get (or any archers). If you move them to effective positions they can be a tremendous help. Like using their range and autoaim with "Overwatch" to shot units in the back across the map. But many people just seem to place them somewhere to shot stuff on their own (preferably shields oc). But thats just like the guy with the Stalwarts who always lags behind while everyone else pushes. You would not say Stalwarts are bad, would you?

You're not wrong, 9 out of 10 longbow units are played very badly and perhaps that has tainted my judgement on them. They really are very good for annihilating ranged units, they are just not very good at much else. Two LB unit at the back peppering the enemy melee troops is worth one unit of prefecture guard in the front line. They just don't really stack up output to cost. I can see why people like them though, if they like standing at the back and commanding archers to shoot and shoot and shoot all over the place they'd be very attractive - but we also need those heroes pushing points :)

I really really really want CB to revert the shortbow change. Everything about it. I honestly think it was so easy to use. Not sure how people were struggling with it.(Took me 1-2 games to get used to it and get good at it) And now it just feels so much weaker. My poison ult just tickles the enemies now point blank to the head. Before the change, I could bring them to half health or really low( even killing them depending on their hp) but now it just does no damage for some reason. Shortbow does damage now (2k+) but you gotta hit 20 shots without missing just to get that. Pretty lame tbh. Forces us to play slower or back more. While before the change, you could get up close and charge people, even dual blades and 1v1 them. And come out on top. Feels more like a nerf than a buff.

I like that they are experimenting with 'upgrading' hero classes, I think that it's a really hard thing to get right and they seem fairly responsive to feedback on the matter. Some of the classes really are a rework from what they were before though, so I think it will take time for them to collect enough data on how its all performing.

I'm also a dual blades main and I like the changes for it, but the one thing I don't like is when we go invisible, we have the invisible abilities when I think it should only be allowed for the smoke bomb and when u black flip into it (I honestly don't look at the names of the abilities lol)

Wish the long sword heal was just a little stronger, since the dps is low

I mean... if you stand next to me and I hit the R key twice you get +10% health, +50% armor, +25% armor penetration, +20% speed buff, +21% damage resistance... How strong do you want it to be? :)

better to keep stalwarts braced till they die it makes them last longer just like how you keep imp shields in cover commander till they die. ive tested this in a lot of matches and both last forever until you press attack then they start dropping.

@@KnightStalker I'm saying if you die better to leave them in brace instead of attack, people avoid them a lot when dispersed and no hero controls them and they get kills here and there and can stall a point when no one notices 3 on the edge

Why not run the rune that heals you on supply points? Very fun, makes you very durable and annoying haha. I even run it when I’m playing light armor.

He get bonus exp from premium units and premium status he has i think. He gets 30% more exp then avarage player ibthink. But he also played for years so yea

Mainly from playing for a very long time, I have over 3,000 hours in CB. This is how I boosted my exp gain (warning, its not free): - Buy purple advanced exp boost tokens - Buy blue exp books (these stack) - Premium account - Use a mercenary unit (martellatore are ideal) All of this together gives you a total of 290% of normal experience gain on every match. If you then go and do a bandit raid and get 180 kills or more you will receive 245,000 experience per match, five times a week. It will still take you a very long time to gain and max out every unit, there is no magic bullet to gain mass exp for free...but it will be nearly three times faster than a free to play player.

Play more mrymilions one day too pls ^^ thx you for yhe video

Kills are only one part of a successful game though

PLS dont push siege tower with archers... knight is right they also die in one shot from a connon like hammer bro's but the cannons splash dmg will kill like 4 more (witch isnt the case with other melee pasants).

@@KnightStalker Points are not the goal... only in war. In how many siege you have a task to win? Watever with new doctrines belive-me what my longbow can't penetrate I dont think your Imperial will do. By the way thanks for repply.
