Eddie was a broken man brewing during that fight week and was complete broke by the time he got to the octagon and get the weight of that moment and pressure in his fight with him. He was basically a mannequin for Conor to piece up. Look at the last sequence of that fight. Dude hesitated and looked so scared throwing that lazy left or so and he got the 4 piece chicken McNuggets. Dustin won’t freeze up on fight night like Eddie did. I don’t like Conor But. You throw hands with Conor early it’s probably not the best strategy early on. If Dustin goes in there for a fire fight like he did with Hooker. Someone getting hurt bad

Conor was just in the zone, probably the best performance of his career. Go back and watch the knockout, Eddie's fist literally grazed conor's nose as he pulled back and then he countered with a combination landing every single strike on target. That's not just the other guy being off that's precision, range, and timing. Conor is just that good but will he be that good against Poirier? Idk

Exactly. I follow Conor's stuff and i see no bs in there for more than a year. Completely new, dedicated Conor is coming and he is not an ordinary mixed martial artist who will simply follow a certain style of fighting, he will absorb everything, just like Bruce Lee preaches. MindSmah once beautiful said that other fighters have confidence in their styles, Conor has confidence in himself.... I have no doubt that Poirier is 100% dedicated, but he is not conceptually, nor mentally at the same level Conor is who appears to be all in as well.

Conors all rounder status gets slept on so much. His fight IQ is super high and his ground game and takedown defence is alot better than some assume. Look at his Holloway fight or even lasting as long with Khabib. He's not just a striker. But yh I think Vera is still getting to grips with English, cos as a fighter if he doesn't recognise that then I smell alot of losses coming his way

It has a huge young adult/teen following (under 30) while other sports have people of every age following. I’ve seen this myself with back in 2013 only one person I knew had interest in the sport and now in 2020 at least 80% of people know about it. So okay, maybe it’s not that popular overall but it’s huge with young people and I’m guessing nightmare files is young like you, probably.

Yeah max's proformance was amazing for sure absolutely stunning to watch!! But if the rematch happened at 155 i think conor would win for sure as max does not carry any power when fighting at 55 he is not the most powerful at 45 he is a volume stricker with amazing technical ability and combinations etc & cardio for days & beats people up over however many rounds & accumulates damage & grinds them down its more a TKO or decision from max rather than straight KO could you imagine what would of happened to katta if conor hit him clean as many times as max did he would not have a head left lol.. like with the dustin rematch at 55 you could see the strenth & power difference between them & it been harder for max to inflict damage to dustin & when dustin hit max you could see the affect it had on him & it wore on max & took some of his best assets away from him. So with the evidence we have witch is all we can go on the fact that they have fought before & conor won & then how things played out with dustin at 55 & conor hits harder & more evasive etc and max dose get hit quite alot with how he fights as he is a warrior and love to throw down i see conor winning buy ko if they ever had a rematch 😉

Dustin has better boxing defense than he used to because he actually moves his head, slips, rolls, and has that high guard he used against Max in their 2nd fight. Sure he’s gotten hit but it’s a fight, you’re gonna get hit. Especially if you stand in the pocket that much. I’m pretty sure he knows that he can’t get into that kind of firefight with Conor though. Especially given what happened to him last time. I think his defense will be more on point for this fight. We will see though

No matter who conor fights every other fighter says "oh well they are a different fighter than they used to be" but he always wins

People are severely discounting Conor just because he’s been off for a bit. He been posting training videos on his Instagram CONSTANTLY and even said he’s using training to avoid stuff like drinking and his other vices with coach Kavanaugh. He also did an intensive workout bike that rides on water and I bet anything that along with whatever else he’s been doing that his cardio is going to be improved. It’s not like Conor and his entire team aren’t aware of the fact he tends to gas after three hard rounds. That’s why he started throwing less flashy kicks as often because they drain him especially if he misses. Plus he managed to hold on longer and avoid as much damage than Dustin or Gaethje when Khabib was on top of them, though Gaethje basically just threw leg kicks and backed up constantly when Khabib was on top of him or pressuring him on the feet which just.. astounds me that Khabib was like nah fam I’m gonna show you I am strike with you, Dustin, AND even Conor since they’re all so focused on the inevitable takedowns.

A bit😂he hasn’t fought at 155lbs since Khabib. Before that when did he last win at 155? 2016? That being said I still think the guy with the more money for better training wins when the discrepancy is so one sided. One guy rich as fuck, one guy very much not. Wish Conor was fighting Gaethje or that guy who just beat Tony, Charles Olivera. I just don’t think Poirier’s the guy, tho I’m rooting for him. It’s sad that Khabib is gone. But with Usman, Petr Yan, Weili Zhang and Nunes, the ufc still has some fights left in it. Just wish Khabib hadn’t retired. I have NEVER seen a fighter run through every opponent AND walk out of the octagon without a scratch every time. GOAT

I wonder how better he can be if he is still in the game. And he keeps the division in check. Anyone who gets the title next will always be in his shadow especially if that person is someone he already wiped the floor with.

But after his astonishing performance against Gaethje,(who I also love) I wish Khabib would come back just for new title holders to see if they pass the Khabib test. @lord Even the Khabib fight showed his improvements in wrestling defense imo. He defended takedowns very well and was the hardest for Khabib to deal with than all the other lightweights, even his coach said so. That still says something.

Conor sparks him in 2. Active or not. Guy is obviously on a different level when he's on his game and not a drunkard.

He was the first double champ in the UFC, and also if you didn’t know he was a double champ before the UFC in Cage Warriors. He took out one of the best lightweights in history in one punch. He has knock outs in three different divisions. He took on arguably the greatest boxer of all time and held his own and gave him one of his more difficult matches. Everyone has off fights, so relax there bud. Get real.

Looking forward to this fight, I think if McGregor stays on the outside using his speed and kicks stylistically he definitely has the advantage over Poirier. I don't see McGregor staying still fighting in a phone booth with Poirier that would be a very dangerous move for McGregor. I do think Poirier has better cardio, has been a lot more active and is a lot more hungry than McGregor, so will be a great fight. Do you agree?

I dont know if people relize how good of a fight this could be. I think both are at there bests, with the right mindset. This could be a classic.

I remember when Miesha Tate doubted Conor against Aldo and we all saw what happened. She shows so many emotions in her opinion about the fight, clearly, she is not a big fan of Conor. I probably don't have the same experience she has but listens to Dustin's answers in interviews when they ask him about the fight and you will find out that like Conor said before "it's clear he doesn't have a vision of what is going to happen".

I feel like everytime i see justin he's stuttering just a little bit more than last time. I hope I'm wrong but i wouldn't ve surprised if he had some speach impediment in 10 years
