"Prank" and "Airport" are two words that should never go together. Case in point, the title of this video.

Rule number 1 with japan: Don't pull any jokes. They will not get it and not appreciate it. Every official process is DEATHLY serious.

So true. Back when I was taking my driver's test in Tokyo, the instructor explained the whole procedure before it started, very textbook, and asked me if I had any questions. I asked her if it was true that Japanese squad cars only go up to 180 kmh, so you won't get caught for speeding if you go faster than that. (It's a cheesy scene from Tokyo Drift.) She looked at me like I was possibly unfit to drive and like she wanted to check with her superiors to make sure she could go on with the exam. It was all good in the end though, she passed me 😂

In the US in a lot of places covid tests are free (same with vaccines also in Some places they’ll pay to get a vaccine or take a test) and due to the US being friends with a lot of places like Japan they aren’t very strict on us with covid regulations

In the UK they're also free, but tests funded or even subsidised by the NHS can't be used for travelling. Probably to discourage people from travelling.

That you’d need to have it signed from a doctor is new to me, I traveled back to Japan in September and just had the form filled out and signed at the test station (not in the UK though) But I agree that the form gave me some major anxiety.

That's not so bad: Was traveling with a school band. One of the parents leave a military bag with pom pom (for cheerleaders) on the airport. The bomb squad is called in after this parents jokingly calls them "bom bom"... On an airport... Security makes another one of the parents open it, while a third says something like "be really careful. 11 & 2" the one opening the bag looks: snipers. I didn't witness this, just heard about it afterwards, thankfully as I probably would have shat myself. I have a feeling most people won't believe this, I don't care, it's a good story to tell over a beer

Sad to see the process in Japan be so difficult.... I live in what you could call a ¨3rd world country¨ and COVID test and vaccines are free in almost every place, there is going to be a doctor that will stamp your test and send it to a data server for the government after the result are in. You can just go to the place 72 hours before your flight and get everything in a few hours.
