Shay would win with weapons because he would just shoot his grenade launcher at connor but who knows he might survive it since he survived a cannon ball and healed really fast and still fought with haytham If it’s a sword fight or combat connor destroys but shay also has a chance since he’s more experienced connors chances would be 6/10 shays 4/10 This was probably the hardest match up ever

@@Fallout4277 dude see the context of the video first.....this comparison is based on PRIME TIMES of both of these characters that means it compares a prime Shay with his allies with a prime Cornor with his allies and remind u Shay wasn't in North America as he was france .....and boy SHAY killed ARNO'S FATHER in broad fucking daylight that too inside the bloody VERSAILLES and escaped like a Chad without getting caught even with a age of 55+ years.....if u read the ASSASSINS BOOKS and their novels you will get to know that the stunt Shay pulled in VERSAILLES was peak stealth till then date that even ASSASSIN'S brotherhood acknowledge, even Ezio didn't pulled a stealth stunt like that (according to the books and the trilogy) ASSASSIN'S creed according their tenets comes to stealth and It doesn't matter how much Cornor can kill cuz ur Cornor skills doesn't matter anymore if he can't even see his enemy, by the time he realises, Shay would have already had done his job(that is killing Cornor)

@@badidea6281 Rebuilding something is harder than destroying it. Shay had many allies and personally knew his enemies which is an huge advantage,he had literally trained with them and knew their weakness. However they didnt know what he learned away from them Connor was basically alone and a won a war and rebuilt the brotherhood while destroying the Templars. I should also say that Connors purging of the Colonial Order of Templars was permanent.(There is overall American presence but that SPECIFIC part was never fixed) Shays purge only lasted a few decades Killing Charles Dorian is a stealth feat,and quite dumb as it was done in front of everyone,its most likely everyone in there was too drunk out of their mind. AC3 combat engine is superior and easier to Rogues and AC4,and due to how the Animus works in the gameplay it means Connor is stronger

Shay has arguably the best outfit in the entire francise I mean come on his normol Templar outfit looks amazing, then there's the 11th century outfit, all dark assassin outfit, Assassin killer outfit, Templar enforcer outfit, tracker outfit and Templar master outfit (my fav)

Yes he is so colorful! He has so many characteristics. And imo he is one of the smartest assasin's/templars. He was so smart that he saw that the creed was killing innocent people and how corrupt they were. Shay is on a whole nother lvl man. Plus since rogue was one of the first assasin's creed games i played.

@@cyberrunners2077 Alexios and Kassandra has been stated to be literal fucking demigods. They defeat mythical beasts like nothing. Same with Eivor, mf destroys Surtur casually. Like it or not, they would defeat pretty much anyone in the series except for maybe for Desmond. That's why I dislike Odyssey and Valhalla so much. They don't feel human or Assassins very much, more like superhuman/demigod warriors. Origins was the only good imo of the new trinity and Bayek is physically second only to Connor

What you have failed to see is that Ratonhnhaké ton literally took down two Grand Master Templars: Haytham (his very own father; without remorse might I add) and Charles Lee. This man also redeemed the Colonial Creed with little to no assistance at all. All in all, this would be a legendary battle: "A tale of Two Wolves".

Charles Lee became a Master Templar merely because no one else was there to take over. He wasn't that amazing. He wasn't smart, was arrogant, stubborn and unnecessarily daring. All he had was Haytham's favor and even that had a limit, as shown on the book. If someone else was available - which clearly wasn't at the time - Charles would never make the cut. Second... Charles Lee is also the reason why Haytham and Connor didn't have the chance to make amends. He was standing between them. If only he has been killed before, I assure you, they would. And we could have a similar Assassin/Templar truce in America as we had in France.

@@newhybrid101 Connor also survived a direct canon ball to the stomach considering the mission where you Kill Haytham he is literal shot by a canon and survived with a tower crumbling ontop of him. Shay survived a pretty good fall but landed into a snow bank which caused his survival. His poison only works when you slow down but when he is moving he’ll be fine. Those points of the argument is more of a favor for the endurance category.

Now this comparison I like! Both are really close to each other in a timeline sense so there isn't a huge technological advantage to one. I agree with all the takes except allies, cuz I don't think that plays a big part in versus battle and Connor also did kill everyone in America and undid Shay's progress in America. This is a very tough one. It really depends what kind of battle it is. Naval combat? Shay's Morrigan destroys Connor's Aquila. Ranged combat? Shay has the advantage with grenades. Stealth kill? Connor, his parkour skills are better and he has a silent bow. Melee combat? Connor, he is way more stronger, faster, durable and has more stamina and better endurance than Shay and is equal or close to equal in skill. But ultimately I think that Connor would win 6/10, but it would be really damn close

What you have to take into account when it comes to tricks and stealth is that Shay is experienced in Assassin hunting as well as predicting Assassins who come after him. Connor will have a hard time trying to sneak on him. Most likely it'll never work.

Shays morrigan beats connors aquila? What do you base that off? Connor absolutely smokes shay in every category, a better comparison is connor vs edward, shay is by the least better than arno dorian who is arguably the weakest assassin despite ac unity having the best stealth and gameplay mechanics but Arnos story is pretty irrelevant but, on the topic at hand, shay being comparable to arno, a weak assassin who barely deserves that title, indicates that he's near enough the same level, I mean shay barely killed a weak, old and distracted Adewale, and had help from haytham kenway who is a beast of an assassin who turned template who id say can beat connor, however we have to remember connor still killed haytham who shay reports to, therefore suggesting that they are incomparable as haytham has more latent abilities and has attained a much higher status than shay so he clearly is superior to shay. Also remember only achiles trained shay when he was younger, meanwhile connor had a experienced grandmaster assassin achilles bare in mind that achiles was trained by Ah Tabai who trained edward for some time. Connor was feared by people who shay recognised as a threat, but a really close match up is connor vs edward personally if its edward vs connor then its probably 6/10 to connor Edward is naturally more talented but connors more experienced, and has a more tragic story. But remember Edward Kenway ruled the seven seas and had a mixture of rural and urban environments during his assassin years with more experience in the ocean as opposed to connor who is more used to rural and urban environments Anyways hopefully ubisoft release a sequel to black flag so we can get more depth to the kenway story.

Still got clapped by haytham and while they were both weakened by the canon balls haytham was still able to react faster than Connor and pin him on the ground and he would have easily killed him while choking him with his hidden blades but decided to let Connor kill him because he loves his son so he doesn’t want to kill him and he doesn’t want to betray the Templar order and Connor got overpowered by Charles lee who is no where near Haytham’s level lmao

@@Spiderman2910 Connor literally resisted 2 cannonballs, but Haytham did not suffer any blows and was intact and it was difficult for him to subdue Connor and if that were not enough, Connor wounded him in the abdomen causing him to slowly bleed and destroyed the hidden blades to prevent Haytham from killing him. With them, Haytham did not allow himself to be killed by Connor and if he really cared about his family, his son would not have taken charge instead of abandoning them and being the leader of the Templars, although it is true that he became attached to Connor on more than one occasion. He told him that he should have killed him and he regretted not doing it, he didn't let himself be killed, Connor simply surpassed his father.

I’d say Shay would win, man was a part of the brotherhood and killed multiple assassins and has an advantage because he would know their weakness not to mention Connor and those other Assassins was trained Achilles who Shay Managed to defeat them all but let Achilles go.

As its always proven, strategy wins against brute force. I would say shay wins 70% and connor 30%. Both are killers of the opposite side but Shay is definetely scarier.

Shay fell multiple times from multiple heights. I would say they're atleast on par in durability.

This really up in the air but I do believe that shay just barely wins because of experience killing assassins and they were trained by the same person so shay will know most of Connors tricks plus SPOILERS at the end of rogue shay knew about Connor and Connor still doesn't know who shay is

You would have to consider that Achilles would prepare Connor for Shay,maybe not tell his story but prepare him to fight someone like this

Yeah I think it would be a pretty close fight but I think shay would just win

I love the implementation of short descriptions, makes the content better

Lets not forget shay came after connor in game relese date. The writers just had to fill holes in the story. Shay was gifted the use of plot armor

he doesn't stand a chance to shay. shay killed master assassins and his morrigan ship is way more powerful than the jackdaw and he already knew how assassins work, he also know how to hunt both land and sea animals.

i’m giving it to shay, people genuinely underestimate him too much

If Shay is in his prime he most probably wins because of the edge the weapons and his cunning give him. Also the guy is a hunter, sharpshooter, assassin. Extremely skilled and talented. Connor is exceptionally strong and durable which might give him and edge but he tank face tank everything that's thrown at him ( which is something he would try to do ). He is also a hunter but we all know that this isn't gonna work on Shay. If he gets his hands on him we will give him a veeeery hard time. But Shay knows how to play according to his limitations and he has been mentored by haytham. I know Connor fanboys are gonna come for me but I believe Shay would win.

I think shay is underated personnaly it's my favorite ac protagonist and i think he could win for exemple of this video i think speed and agilty would go to him since he managed to escape to lisbon while the whole city was collapsing also he has got training of Achilles, hope, liam and the indian wich i forgot the name but i'm agree strengh and durability goes to connor even if shay survived a bullet and a fall he took month to recover while connor managed to fight despite getting hurted by multiple things in my opinion in a and fight without any equipement connor win but if it's like in a normal fight with their equipement or in a naval fight shay would win

Shay is not stronger even than Haytham, imagine against Connor who killed bears with just 13 years old

In a close place, in 1 vs 1, Connor wins with a certain facility i'd say

So…Connor survived a cannon shot, fought his father who was tough as he was the most hurt, Made it out alive of a burning building chasing Lee. And still determined to survive and kill. He’s very strong. Rebuilt the Assassin as Achilles has lost a lot about it cause of Shay, was almost killed multiple times yet alive. And went headfirst against an army. A solo captain facing other British ships And here we have Shay, survived a fall after he was betrayed by the Assassin, was filled with Poison but killed the Assassin who had the antidote, Had cool weapons, Infiltrate and kill Arno’s father with lots of people there. Has good weapons as well. Went after Achilles and someone else, Survived another fall again. And very smart to fight. And escape an earthquake happening It’s a gonna be a very close one. But I gotta choose Connor

the fact that Connor killed (almost) every single of those stronger allies is insane.

Connor single handed an army bruh shay did not get them all in a place and killed them like Connor did with the army so i think Connor wins Battle iq

Shay has more allies but Connor literally killed all of them

Something we should all take into account is that Achilles knew about Shay. This in turn no doubt had impact in Connors training; there’s no doubt Achilles made Connor such a monster to fight one.

Conor wins 6/10 times he would easily out Match shay in close combat and in a fight shay could outsmart Conor but not sure in what way Conor’s will power would beat shay overall Conor is most likely to win

Shay would just bleed connors ears with “I make my own luck”

One word *tracking* Connor could find clues telling him Shay is nearby in seconds plus Connor can hear the slightest footstep

well, Shay has unique eagle vision it has a detection meter that would indicate where connor is.

That was the best short , Shay vs connor i have ever seen. Well done.

Man stealth is Connor Shay infiltrated a palace bc met 5 guards on his way to Dorian Connor was able to infiltrate in to a hole base of templars and killed his father without being noticed by other guards

Honestly the best vs I’ve ever seen hands down, well done sir I agree with every point.

Shay had support of Haythem while even though Arcellius was there for Connor, he could not fight. Shay killed all the Assassin's while Connor killed all the Templars. Both accomplished almost equal amount of feats. But if it really came down, Connor would win. Shay had help of Templars while Connors built the brotherhood from scratch with just guidance of Arcellius. And greatest feat of Connor was killing Haythem. And before anyone says that Haythem let Connor kill him, remember that Connor was in no state to fight as a cannon ball literally blew beside his face. He was barely able to move properly forget fighting. Still Connor was able to fight Haythem and kill him. This shows his skills already surpassed Haythem was more. And Shay's skills were close to Haythem. Thus it's safe to say that Connor will win in a fight against Shay and I'm pretty sure that if Shay was in AC3, Connor would had killed him also.

Shay would win if he used sleath to kill Connor however if shay was found Connor would easily over power him

Ok but can we not talk about how the first comment also wanted shay vs Arno like arno is my favorite assassin but like still that’s like putting a kitten vs a full grown dog man shays gonna the floor with arno and barely have to try honestly.

i like the ones where they actually give information an the skill and its not just their opinion

Shay is faster. He is able to catch a rabbit in full sprint, but Conner can’t.

Thats running speed.And yes,Connor is meant to be slowed down by his heavy build.Thats why he seems to be struggling slightly when running. But his combat reactions are insane and faster than Edward and Shay

As strong as Connor is and how insane he is, Shay was literally the Darth Vader of assassin's Creed he specialized in killing everything Achilles built which insane. In a way Connor would be the only one of that time who'd have a chance. I wish we got to see an older more jaded Shay take on Connor it would've been spectacular like if Connor went after him for killing Arno's dad. Cause to be honest dispite Arno's skill I think Shay would eat him

Connor kenway, great character, amazing origin story, but the way they executed the game and the interface they gave it was not good enough, I will always dream of a remake of this great title, and a South American tells you so.
