Hi. Thanks for your videos - very informative. Can you let me know whether the 2nd Gen intercom monitor be used to view the camera on a 8 channel HIKVision NVR? And whether you need to have the intercom camera also installed to make this function work, or whether you can just install the monitor as a stand alone unit connected to the NVR? Thank you

Champion. I just got my DS-KIS603-P(B) kit working through a DS-7608ni-i2. Once on the NVR i was able to use virtual host to update Door camera firmware (i dont own a normal PoE switch)

Excellent video! Thanks for sharing. By any means, is it possible to program the unlock button on the indoor station (DS-KH8350-WTE1) to trigger one of its so-called alarm relays outputs at the back of the unit? I'm not comfortable having the door lock circuit connected directly to the outdoor station/doorbell unit (which, you know, can be shorted to unlock the door in case the door phone unit got intentionally knocked out). If not, is there a workaround to make this possible? perhaps using an additional module of some sort? Thanks!

Great video man. Let say I have external call station and indoor connected to poe switch witch is not connected to inernet, Can I still get system online by enabling Wi-Fi on indoor handset? Instead of pulling cable to the router?

I made a comment but disappeared. Some questions. 1. What we use wifi in monitor for? If we already connect using poe sw and cable? 2. Could we only use wifi for connecting to router and router to be connected with POE which have door camera connected. 3. DS-KD8003-IME1 is packed with its housing as i saw some unboxing videos have housing and some not? 4. Are there a maximum of mobiles to connect to one main monitor? 5. is it have onvif support? If yes, could i connect wifi imou Cam and could see its live in the hikconnect app on mobile, any basic management?

Hi, Good video. Does the doorstation record video on the NVR hard drive? and can it be done with Hik-connect? If so the does the doorstation appear on the NVR as a new camera?

You mentioned accessing the configuration of this system via the "...(Or web interface)..." however I have been unable to access either the Indoor Station (tablet) or the Outdoor station (doorbell) via the web interface. Can you clarify your comment? Thanks so much.

I don't recall you mentioning it in the video. My comment is not on the specifics of the video, but on your (or the representative for Pipl Systems Security), written response in this thread that states "Glad you liked it :) Yeah, that is possible, but you have to turn it on beforehand. To do that you got to go into device' settings in IVMS-4200 (Or web interface), then ...". You have however now clarified what my understanding is, namely that there is no web interface support for this HIK Vision Gen solution setup. From a user's perspective, ... and feedback to HIK Vision that is most disappointing. To you and your team, ... keep coming with the good dissemination of this type of information. @@markgale2214 If you are asking about the enabling of audio recording: this needs to be enabled from the NVR. The NVR has the storage, so it is there you tell it to save both video and audio from the outdoor station. And yes the NVR can be accessed via LAN on web browser

Hey in the begin everything was ok with the connection between phone and the hikvision ( we have it maybe 3 weeks) the last 4-5 days and they ring it doesn’t connect to the phone and in the hikvision says disconnected I try everything restart put the wifi again but still says disconnected the wifi is ok I mean that part is connect. What is disconnected is hik connect server.

If my only wish is to receive calls from my doorbell and answer/decline them, and have a life view of the person in front of the door right away, and i want to see my cctv cameras, can i just buy a cheap android tablet and use the hikvision app? What’s the extra benefit for me if I buy an indoor station instead of a android tablet? Please help because i really don’t understand.

is it possible to connect this system to Dahua NVR?

Can this be done with a KH6 series indoor station? I am not sure what's the difference between the KH6 and the KH8 series other than the price. Thank you!

Why do you need to enable the second (Wi-Fi) interface for Hik-Connect? Why can’t it also use the POE interface at the same time?

Can the intercom screen be used to view other camera connected to the NVR?

For some reason my do not show up. I have a hikvision nvr, same style as the one you have in the video. Both that and the intercom are connected to the same LAN network. The intercom is through a seperate POE switch though. Does it have to be plugged directly into the NVR to work?

is the intercom recording when its coonacted to a NVR?
