Great tutorial. But, does Capsman work in hEX model (without the wlan1)? It stopped on mine as soon as I was on Wireless > CAP. Maybe you have a presentation on hEX for CapsMan? Are there specific APs the CapsMan will work with or can I use any generic AP? Thanks,

Hi Sir, I'm new to this CAPSMAN, i have a question. Example you have hAP lite on your AP2, and you add attached its ports (ea either 4 and 3) with a non Mikrotik base access point (by bridging all lan port) will it be still be managed by the CAPSMAN?

do I need the cert if I just have only one capsman in my network?

Will there be a part 2, to explain how to configure CAPsMAN settings, what it is important to set?

Can MT hAP AX3 work as a CapsMan manager and at the same time be an access point managed by CapsMan?

For LAb which model ur using I have rb750gr3 i dont see in capsman CAP interface is unknown?For capsman i need mikrotik wireless or some other brand access point ?

Hi. I have three Mikrotik routers. One is the main router for internet the other two are AP. I do not have a switch. The first AP is conected to the main router with a ethernet cable from ether2 to eher1 on the AP. The escond AP is conecred with a lan cable from the first AP from ether1 to ether1. Will Capsman work with this set up?

This is so informative, however, I need to ask this question. Can I do this configuration through PoE port

No. CAPsMAN is only for MikroTik hardware.

No user changes? And admin without password on CAP's?

This is just a LAB. You always require to change the admin user and put a password

I had seen a lot of CAP's without passwords in my country.. because lot of people activate CAP with physical button on AP and doesn't change any configuration in it.

CAPs will only work if the router on the other side is also a Mikrotik. Is that correct assumption?

@@talktomesek Do you mean in the Mikrotik? you can use any port. Also it's using layer 2, not TCP, so it doesn't matter. The mikrotiks are reseted with blank configs.

Hi. You say there is no configuration on all three routers, surely the first router has a configuration, because it is connected to the internet.
