Hi Tanya...Thank heavens I came across this particular vid of yours. Why? I purchased the Audikast from your recommendation here. After doing various "experiments" (do I sound like Igor now? lolol) with various BT transmitters I followed your suggestion and purchased the Audikast. It works!!! Hi Tanya, I’ve been using the Audikast for a few years now along with Avantree headphones and it’s a great combination. I’ve also got a set of Trekz headphones connected as well. I also use a 4 port TOSLINK switch to feed the Audikast that then allows me to switch between SkyHD, Firestick, Apple TV and PS3/4 audio outputs as required.

Does it have to be hardwired or can the transmitter transmit a Bluetooth signal the fire stick can hook up to?

The transmitter has to be powered as described in the video.

Few questions, first, do you know if the Avantree is compatible with both the Sennheiser HD 450BT and the Sony WH-CH720N? Next question is, if my Firestick is connected to an HDMI switcher and the HDMI switcher is connected to the TV will the Avantree still work, or do I need to connect the Firestick directly to my TV? Last question, my TV has both an optical and a AUX output, which is the better option to use? Thanks.

It works with any Bluetooth headphones. Yes, it should still work when using a splitter. Optical input is the modern form of input and it is recommend to connect to optical over AUX input.
