@@BMarie774 i said "basically" for a reason. If separation doesn't happen within the crucial hours (or days?), sepsis can occur. Also, if i recall correctly, only some vital organs were separated, but some were shared. If a vital organ is shared, sadly, the other twin will die. But even if one lived, i don't imagine he would be very happy, knowing that he lost his best friend.

People can learn a lot about adversity from these twins. I'm glad they had so much love and support from family and friends during their life. It shows with the positive attitude they maintained for so long.

They both share the same digestive system as well as the main stomach organs. They have seperate hearts but when one's heart stopped it stopped both of their essential stomach organs. So basically one died killing the other.

Now THIS is a true dynamic duo They lived the life. Dad they passed away but at least they passed away good people and will never have had to live without the other. Just two more kind souls being released from the world. And I'm glad their dream of attending a Cowboys game came true before they passed, looks like they had a blast

What a beautiful life they lived making the best of what they had. When they were playing baseball together and helping each other shave, I almost cried. They looked so happy!

It's a beautiful story of helping family stay as well as can be.

I read a story once with this similar case of conjoined twins. The dead one was kept for some time and had started to rot and it had to be surgically removed, but later on the other one died eventually due to complications as they shared the same body.

Since they share the some of the same body parts/organs I think once ones heart stop so did the organs attach and so did the other brother

I cant imagine living 68 years conjoined to my annoying younger brother 😂😂😂 . He is sometimes sweet though . Well done to those two people for being strong throufh hard times

Bless. I hope they shared a heart and passed at the same time. I can't imagine the horror of my attached brother passing, knowing any minute, I'm next. The fact that they made it to 68 is mind blowing.

I have questions about their death. Did one have heart attack and other died later? They said they have separate hearts.

as with the famous Siamese twins, once one twin dies, the other can't provide enough blood to both bodies with only one heart, and will die shortly after.

I read from a different comment that yes, they did have separate hearts, but they shared a few organs. One of them died and their system shut down, which killed the other.
