Our sin separates us from His presence, and sin must be punished (Romans 6:23; Matthew 10:28; 23:33). But, because God loves us, He took our punishment upon Himself. All we must do is accept God’s gift of salvation through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Corinthians 5:21). Grace is God’s blessing on the undeserving. That is a relationship, not a religion. I pray you all will know of Jesus and know of his light of truth and come to Him and be saved and experience His true Love true Salvation true truth and Holy Spirit in Jesus name Amen God bless🙏🏼

That’s why sin separates us from God..that’s why we needed a Savior. God cannot even look on sin without destroying it! Jesus the Christ was Gods lamb for the sins of the world. Jn.3:16 He is now our mediator to God. His blood is our atonement and keeps us from being destroyed 🙌🏼🙌🏼Praise his Holy name!

Actually it’s not. The Bible acknowledges a number of times that there are many gods but only One Creator God. Moloch was/is a god who demands child sacrifice. Planned Parenthood are his worshippers. Mammon is worshipped by lovers of money above all things. Most politicians of either party worship Mammon. The Judeo-Christian God, Yahweh, is Love, Peace, Joy, Beauty, Truth, Good, Compassion . . . The worship of gods is rooted in earthly pleasures and rewards while the worship of the One True God is rooted in the highest spiritual ideals. One leads to perversion and death while the other leads to Cleanliness and Life.

@@gumbypokey Nothing like. Christians do not pray to crosses or statues. They serve as symbols to remind the worshipper of important concepts. Eastern Orthodox call their particular ones “icons”. They serve as windows to the divine reality. There is a reason we call our symbols icons on computer screens. When you click on one it opens up pathways of information. Contemplating on statues and crosses opens up pathways of divine information stored in the software of the brain.

When he concludes with “amen and awoman”, it is a joke to me and nothing that he said previously can be taken seriously. There is no integrity in his words, he doesn’t seem to even understand the meaning of the words that he use correctly.

Including all the various entities in order to cover all bases is nothing but a sign of a corrupted faith. As Pastor Batchelor, and others have said, there is only one name under heaven whereby we must be saved by... and that is Christ Jesus Himself. He is called "Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Why is He called the everlasting father in Isaiah 9:6? Because He is our Creator, thus our father. He's not our Heavenly Father who sits upon the center throne, but rather, He is the author of all of creation as John 1:1 says that, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

The Bible clearly says the evening Jesus was in the garden praying, in agony suffering for he knew what was about to happen , he prayed that if it were possible, to let this cup pass. But never the less,not my will Father, but let thy will be done. God Almighty our Father in heaven loves you and i soo much, he offered up his son to suffer and die in our place. Jesus Christ didn't have to do that, he could have called on the angel s but instead he bore the sins of the whole world the will of God was fulfilled through Jesus Christ, . Please get your self a King James Bible and pray for the holy Spirit to give you understanding, read and study God's word, seek and you shall find, God Almighty bless you and your family..

@Towsiya Shabir Do you understand the context in which Jesus said this? He was being questioned as to His actions, His miracles, His words. He was simply stating that He was following God's plan. He had a mission to accomplish as the cross and He followed God's instruction to the letter. He could have done things His way, but He didn't. He, like the rest of us, had choices to make and He chose to follow God's word. That's why there are so many examples of Him praying for strength and instruction. He would break off from a crowd and then be found praying. When you pray, you're seeking God's instruction.

This is a wake up call, Great controversy going until the return of Jesus Christ. Let us keep praying.

I’m trembling as you read that early prayer.

This is a growing trend. I recently was working for a Catholic healthcare organization in TN. When I was first interviewed they took pride in stating before each meeting they would pray and that really made me happy to hear. I am SDA and I will join in prayer because when we pray to God there is power; however, after our second meeting or so, I noticed that within our prayer time Buddhist and other beliefs began creeping into the prayers. The prayers sounded and ended exactly like this. It is very troubling how easy it is to please and compromise by adopting the beliefs of other gods etc into prayer to make everyone happy. This makes me very sad, but I am happy to know God is coming soon. I stopped participating in these prayer times. I was asked why by a couple of other people and I was honest and ironically they agreed and were understanding.

God blessed our country abundantly when our founding fathers held the one true God in high esteem. Our leaders now have turned their backs on God and will now pay the price for this act. May God bring His Justice upon our country. Amen!

The fact that those who testified that they saw Jesus alive after His crucifixion lived alongside Him and therefore to me that makes their witness more believable. Freedom of religion is a fundamental principle to me. I'll gladly explain why I believe but will never pressure anyone to go against their own conviction. I am thoroughly satisfied and absolutely convinced that Jesus is Lord. I bet my life.

@@Devil-ql5gv I accept the fact that many religions and holy books predate Christianity and the Holy Bible. My faith is not based on antiquity but authenticity. That is, the nearer the event, the more accurate or believable the witness. What I don't understand I accept by faith. However, I disagree with the idea that all religions serve the same God. Although, all major religions have similar principles, it's the path to, or method of, salvation that differ. Also, what is to be expected in the afterlife differs. A name is only an identifier that points to the substance. It can change but not the substance.

The Pastor who spoke in Congress, should of stood boldly and clear that he would uphold the name of Christ above all others, and if they didnt like it, then they could ask him not to speak at all then. This pastor denied the Holy and right place of Gods sovereign name...And, lowered it, to that of false pagan God's, giving them the prerogatives of God, robbing him of his glory. And in effect, sadly and ultimately, denied the name of God.

Exactly-and the Name of God is YHWH-and this is a perfect example of why believers in Messiah should KNOW and PROCLAIM the One and Only Name above ALL Names. “I am YHWH. That is My Name, and My Esteem I do not give to another, nor My Praise to idols.” Isaiah/YeshaYahu 42:8 “All the peoples walk in the names of their mighty ones, but we walk in the Name of YHWH forever and ever.” Micah 4:5 It matters-His Name matters. Our Messiah proclaimed His Father’s Name-a perfect example for us to follow. (John 17:6, John 17:26).

Thank you for this post. When I heard this prayer the “Amen and A-woman” to me was just foolishness. The sentence before that was one that I could not believe I heard correctly. However when I read it in print my spirit is grieved by such words and I have been trying to pick each word apart and try to understand where Mr Cleaver is coming from in his thought process. I agree with you 100 % and am saddened by how far from our God this country seems to be.

I always understood as a choirboy at St Clements Church, Ilford in the 1960's that "Amen" means "So be it." That is why "Amen" is said after every prayer.

I never imagined that a prayer will be offered to an Hindu God, Bhramha in congress.

What is even terrible is that he used biblical verses to honour a hindu god, when the hindu god brahma is actually not worshipped and was cursed by his own mother for raping his own daughter. This pastor has no shame in praying in the name of a rapist but not in the name of the Only true living God Jesus Christ.
