I will let you know that living life that way will prevent you from truly connecting with people and it may make you feel incredibly lonely and empty. There’s a chance you will die cursing the world for being cruel, cold and empty. But you are allowed to make that choice if you wish. However, do not force that mindset on others because you will push them further away, isolating yourself all the more.

My mother sent me this after I returned from my first deployment and was having noticeable moments of PTSD and night terrors… admitting I needed help was probably the scariest thing I’ve ever done but I’m glad I did it
