Exactly. Childish ignorance. Im a die-hard fan of the book and play. The level of control you need to playing the dual voices.. he was exquisite

So hard to perform this song with two distinct voices and to keep them distinct and well performed, he did both. This man is a legend :)

I absolutely adore how he turned Hyde's voice into a heavy metal esque style, really works.

This performance is unbelievable I want to hear more from this guy

Never thought I needed to hear a German man singing a hard rock version of Confrontation in my life, but I'm glad I did

I'm so grateful that he chose this song and delivered it so perfectly. I didn't know anything about musicals when i first watched his performance and his performance absolutetly blew my mind. It inspired me to listen to Jeykll & Hyde (and later read the book), which is now one of my favorite musicals. Now I'm a full on musical nerd and have watched many renditions of Confronation, but to this day his remains one of my favorites and from time to time I will just look up this video and watch it again and again.

That's amazing! I've listened to musicals all my life but first found J&H freshman year of college when i chose it as my semester-long writing project for a musicals class. It has been my absolute favorite ever since and this remains by far my favorite song.

I would prefer to let him perform in a theatre where the audiences are silent while listening the beauty of the music.

I'm so pissed at the judges....WHY ARE THEY LAUGHING??? THAT IS HONESTLY AN EXTREMELY HARD SONG TO SING TO, AND THEY'RE LAUGHING! BTW, I love that book and the musical. Just, AMAZING.

This works well for a brand new Jekyll and Hyde performance that will get modern audience! It's a great idea so younger generations can appreciate it.

Irgendwie hat man das Gefühl, dass einer der besten Auftritte dieser Staffel zu einer Comedy Veranstaltung degradiert wird. Schade, dass Michael bereits nach den Battles gehen musste. Hätte so gern mehr von ihm gehört und gesehen.

Naja aber ich denke wenn man nicht weiß dass es aus einem Musical ist, besonders nicht aus welchem ist es schon etwas seltsam. Besonders für eine Audition und weil sie ihn eben nur hören. Sein Auftritt war Klasse und ich hätte auch gern mehr von ihm gesehen. Er hatte so viel Potenzial und eine unglaubliche Range was seine Stimme betrifft.

Weil du "the Voice" nicht verstehst! Die Jury sucht jeweils nach ihren Vorstellungen eine gewisse Anzahl an Stimmen. Wenn sie eben nicht passt, dann wird der oder die nicht genommen. Egal wie gut die stimme singen kann!

I think in the beginning the audience laughed cause he had a song check hours before. And they remembered that curious performance... The judges laughed cause maybe they didn't understand what the meaning of the song was. Also it was such a different, passionate, unexpecting and great performance ... and they thought he was two persons. But they respected him also. Great job man! One of the best and most creative and difficult I've ever heard in 'The Voice'!

They are laughing because they think the judges on the chairs are in for a jumpscare, and then they laugh because he pulled a 180 on them, it has nothing to do with them thinking he can't sing

OHK OHMY GOD! This popped up on suggested videos and i was about to angry text my dad (who works for the Voice in the US) that he didn't tell me someone auditioned with literally my ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG but then is saw it was for the German show so...he is forgiven. BUT STILL. That was without a doubt the most creative and amazing performance of this song i have ever heard. As a super fan, the edits didn't even throw me (until the end) but the fact that only ONE JUDGE(s) TURNED AROUND!? That guy was half out of his seat like WTF that is blasphamy. Ok i am done.

Also eigentlich finde ich es etwas schade, dass nicht mehrere gedrückt haben. Aber der war wirklich richtig gut! Und die Idee, dass es mehrere sein könnten hatte ich gar nicht. :o Vielleicht weil ich ihn ja gesehen hab.

Das ist was Musik machen soll. Die Leute lachen erst,doch dann schweigen,dann Jubel. Und Nochmal Respekt an Herren Wansch. Confrontation gehört zu den schwersten Stücken dieses Muscials. Und der Herr Wansch schafft die unterschiedlichen Stimmen von Jekyll und Hyde in so einer Beeindruckenden Art und weise zu Diferenzieren das mir der Mund offen stehen blieb. und nochmal für alle bezüglich des lachens. Das ist die Reaktion von Menschen deren Erwartungsbild zerbrochen wurde.

Ich sehe es mir einfach immer und immer wieder an und kann beim besten Willen nicht verstehen warum er schon nach den Battles gehen musst. Eine der besten , wenn nicht sogar der beste Auftritt in der Staffel...ach was rede ich...aus den kompletten Staffeln. Und dann hört nicht mal einer von diesen Pflaumen raus, um welches Musical es sich handelt....^^ Ich hoffe man hört bald mehr von ihm !
