I would have a lag (minor) every 2 mins on these triple A titles like COD, hogwarts legacy, Forza etc… and I promise doing these few changes has cured it. Two thumbs up 👍 👍

Great video, but I would build all those settings into a command script or regedit file and allow it to turn on and off on the fly. Also, if you are not playing online games, turn off your WiFi. Would save battery. Disabling any type of security feature is never recommended, but if you decide to go offline, that wouldn't be a problem.

In processes for tasks, Windows Def ender SmartScreen uses 1.4mb ram and 0% CPU. Is it really necessary to disable it? Seems better to keep it active just in case, no?

Up to you! Some of the steps u don’t have to do , by them selfs u won’t see a big difference but the more them you do u will see improvements.

@@JahsonENT Thanks :) Yeah, I think it's the sum of all these tweaks that matter. Gotta tweak it to our individual use-case for sure. Allocating 32-36gb of disk space to page files is another one, and performance visuals setting. Among other tweaks. Btw, SysMain is actually a service that preloads frequently used apps into ram. Making some apps load quicker. That said, I suppose that also means that it will put apps into memory which you aren't even using. Taking more away from games and the Os in general. Which is not a good thing with such limited amount shared with VRAM.

Do you have a video on how to get rsr and interer scaling to work in game properly? I cannot figure it out

@@yohon6360 1. Open Armoury Crate with left button 2. Set screen resolution to 1080P 3. Enable RSR 4. Close menu 5. ALT + R 6. Click Cogwheel top right 7. Preferences tab 8. Enable In-Game Overlay + Always On Top 9. Close and open game of choice 10. Set it exclusive fullscreen + 720P 10.1 If you want to run it in borderless, you need to go back to Radeon interface (alt+r) and set the game to fullscreen-borderless mode (has to be done each game for borderless) 11. Launch game 12. You should now get a box popping up after a few seconds showing RSR enabled with a green dot.

How many profile u have on ur go?

After windows boots up are you getting the sound of something is being connected or disconnected from a usb port. For some reason I always gets those sounds right before I enter my pass code.

Not to show, but see if I can do a video, these steps are regular steps pple do on daily, and are all stuff that always running in back ground and they do use the cpu so less of them you have on the better cpu will run!

Another great way to optimize Windows for gaming is to replace it with SteamOS. 101% guaranteed better performance Or use Windows 10 LTSC, until Windows 11 LTSC becomes a thing. It's a very minimal Windows. No pre-installed apps, less bloat overall, no MS Store. But it's stlil Windows at the end of the day

I haven't seen a fully compatible SteamOS build for anything other than the Steam Deck... Windows LTSC is super lite but I had issues with the Microsoft store working, there is some workarounds to try but they didn't work for me but I managed to load Xbox gamepass and a few other MS apps I needed....

It's a privacy/security and performance Windows, meaning there won't be bloat or spyware, such as the Microsoft store For me personally, I get all my games off Steam exclusively for privacy/security reasons. Apart from Minecraft, Roblox, and Bluestacks. No MS store, no Battle net, and especially no Epic Games. Or any Chinese software. Downloading them kinda defeats the purpose of LTSC's privacy/security and even effects performance *coughepicgamescoughcough There is no official SteamOS (HoloISO) for PC. But you can still download the OS onto a PC with AMD hardware. The community made it functional on PC. It is Linux, after all. If ValvE ever makes an official HoloISO for PC, I'm ditching Windows forever

Why? We have no examples of better performance with SteamOS than with windows on a third party device. Nor have we seen an example of SteamOS outperforming Windows in general. Steam Deck isn't powerful enough to compete with Windows handhelds, so until we see Steam OS on the Legion Go, and can compare it to Windows on the Legion Go, there's no reason to try it.
