Confederation Bridge-Drive from New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island || Travel Bug Info ||
Full drive across Northumberland Strait using Confederation Bridge from New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island.
The Confederation Bridge joins the eastern Canadian provinces of Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, making travel throughout the Maritimes easy and convenient. The curved, 12.9 kilometre (8 mile) long bridge is the longest in the world crossing ice-covered water, and continues to endure as one of Canada’s top engineering achievements of the 20th century.

i will be visiting PEI soon
Crossing this - back and forth for a one day visit to PEI in a little less than 2 weeks. My husband will drive. I will have taken at Ativan. 😂
It seems like the driving experience is likely similar driving Seven Mile Bridge to Key West, FL -- a single lane in each direction. I think Confederation Bridge drive from New Brunswick to PEI would be a great adventure
Nicely done, we will be crossing East bound on 7/11/24.
I am probably the only Atlantic Canadian who has yet to be on that bridge, driver or passenger
Thank you! I'm going to be doing that drive in late September, can't wait to see PEI!

Thank you for the virtual ride and information! it's Awesome! Can't wait to Cross the bridge soon!
Awesome
great video thanks for sharing👌
well done
Crossed in June 2024. Scariest thing I've done in my 61 years. Had no idea it would be 8 miles long and so high. If you are afraid of heights, don't do it.

Rode on that bridge in 2001...I had no idea it was so ^֥#! high! White-knuckled driving until "I came back down to Earth!". Someone explain why it had to be so high. Never again. I'll take the ferry back to Nova Scotia and drive the extra hours.
Thank you for the drive.

Glad you enjoyed the drive
Now build one from dingwall to port aux basque
I rode this bridge in 2006 on my Honda ST1300A motorcycle as part of a 'lap' of Cana🎉da/North America... What a ride! What a bridge! 😢I seem to remember there was a rescue service for car drivers who might panic on the bridge. Is my memory correct?

If it exists...I'll bet it's used several times per month.
Drove across the bridge recently. We were behind a transport truck and all of a sudden this great white shark jumped the bridge right in front of us. Couldn't believe it. LOL! Like all Islanders it was friendly and said to us, "Excuse me while I jump this bridge." Who were we to argue with teeth like that?
Just wondering can we use a sedan car when crossing the bridge? I
