Man I loved this film as a kid in the 80s! Watched it so many times with my dad. Seeing as it's a Disney film I'm pissed it's not on Disney+ I wanna watch it with my boys for a trip down memory lane.

Wow, blast from the past, I remember this specific scene but couldn't remember the movie, I kept telling people its the movie where a car is jumping another car from the front, but nobody remembers. lol well I can finally say I am not totally crazy. :P

As a 12-year-old, watching this film sparked a dream of owning a black 911, 19 years later I finally bought my first ..22 years after, I still have that car :-)

I'm similar, after seeing this film when I was 8 I always wanted condormans car. Dispite not knowing what car it was. But about 6 years later I brought a cool looking kitcar that was sitting on a farm, hadn't seen the film for years so I didn't realise (even though its yellow) until me and my brother were watching this scene that Christmas. Strangely this was 22 years ago and I also still have the car

Just cannot get Frank out of my head. Keep expecting him to say “Oooh Betty” especially when he misses with the lasers.

Watched this film the night after I split my head open jumping a Raleigh Strika off the prom onto the beach. Two things always struck me as pure class in this chase. 1, at a time when Bond baddies were fooling around in Ford Cortinas, this movie managed to source half a dozen 911s, and one a flatnose special. 2, the actor, Michael Crawford was very famous in the UK for playing a comedy character called Frank Spencer. In this chase where, the stunt driver drives the Condormobile between the log truck wheels, Michael Crawford did the exact same stunt himself, on roller skates, as Frank Spencer. Awesome work all around. Love this movie.

If you find one of the last episode done as frank spensor - he has a motor cycle - all the stunts are real and performed by Michael himself, you would not think he was a first class motor cycle rider and stuntman - it includes siting sideways, backwards, on the handlebars and operating all the controls as needed - all while acting the fool

As Frank Spencer he risked more than a bumper on those bollards! As you say, the stunt car work weaving the cars between and under the trucks was so much better than modern Star Wars CGI.

They even managed to snag Barbara Carrera. She was one of the Bond girls from "Never say never again." I loved those slant nose Porsches. They are rare today and a real one would probably fetch a decent amount of money.

Condorman is definitely a forgotten unsung hero. And the Condorman music was great too!

This movie was dope back then! Loved Condorman! Had the novelization, the comic book. Man, this brings back good memories of being an '80s kid...😄

I absolutely loved this movie as a kid when I saw it in the theater. Years later I showed this to my nephews and daughters and they yawned with boredom. Good taste has died.

I've wanted a black 911 ever since watching this film as a kid.

The 930 turbo flat nose driven by the boss was my favourite. I'd say you'd have to sell a kidney to afford one these days, but they're that rare, a kidney would probably just about buy the wheels 🤣

Exactly me too! The part where they pull into the village and the henchman causes the villagers to close their blinds in fear really stuck with me. Apparently debate "rages" to this day over whether the lead bad guy was in a real 935 or a body-kitted 911.

For car fans: Morovich drives a 1969 Porsche 935 'Flatnose'! The others drive Porsche 911 Turbo (930)! Woody drives a converted 'Nova Sterling'! The trucks are 1969 MAN 'Hauber'!

@@karlx19 The Movie came out in '81. Porsche 911's were all over europe and easy to aquire cheap. I'm sure the 935 was probably a track racer modified for the film.

Every time I Google this or comes up in a discussion, what comes back is that it’s a 1969 911 (front and rear window surrounds are chrome not black) with a 935 slant nose body kit.

To think, that guy became the Phantom Of The Opera..

This legendary car chase scene came out of nowhere, that's why it makes it so fantastic!

Who would have thought this was a Disney movie. A decent Spy/Action movie. You got to give a lot of credit to the stuntmen and drivers in this film.

Don't forget how many Porsches gave their lives in the making of 1 chase scene. LOL. The repair guys were working over time trying to get just 1 of them to drive a couple hours on set, let lone do stunts. 🤪

Slight correction if my memory serves. "...and before my eye, the car turned into a hydrofoil."

I remember watching this on TV when I was less than 5, never forgot about two scenes on this movie, the flying from the tower at beginning and this car chase... I didn't knew the name of this movie, it bugged me for years... but now after 10+ years trying to figure out I can now enjoy this again! thanks.

Exactly as me, I remember watching this movie as a small child in the 80s!, and all I remember was the scene where the yellow car appears below the old car and a flying man in a red suit! and the name of the movie as birdman, that's was why I was unable to find the movie until today, I was looking for this movie for years!.

Nice to see so many people with the exact same memories as me of this film. I used to watch this sequence over and over again on VHS. I wanted to be Morovich! And Barbara Carrera is hot AF obvs!!

Ahhhh, childhood memories. I loved this film as a kid, especially the flat nose 911 Turbo and Barbara Carrera, I used to think she was the most beautiful woman in the world… along with Stephanie Powers 😅

Holy Crap! As a kid growing up in the 80’s I have no memory of this… but I do remember Mr Frank Spencer!

Wow this clip brings back a memory. Baskin Robbins 31 flavors had a limited edition flavor called "Condor Man Crunch " and when you ordered a scoop you got a free promotional movie poster. I had one on my bedroom wall. Wow!

Best scene hands down. Also, I always loved at 4:25 how the bumper gets ripped off and then it's back on the Porsche in the next shot. Classic.

02:12 The guy that turns left: "Um, ok other superb KBG drivers...! I will um, head him off in Zurich?? I suppose?? Anyway k thx bye."

My love for Porsches as a kid started here.

And here I’ve been all these decades thinking I was the only one who remembered this turkey… Condor.

I very much remember as a 6 year old... my father with his hands on his head yelling at the screen "Oh no, those poor Porches!!!"

Yep, it's bittersweet! A man of taste.

Love it. Love it. Love it. I wore the VHS Tape away back in the day growing up. Sat my kids down to educate them about great films. They gave up after about 10 mins! This film was everything good about that era of films. Location. Cars. Easy to follow plot. Comedy. Action. Try to think of another underrated movie that just goes under peoples radar. Condorman would be on that list - a must see!

I remember seeing this movie as a kid somewhere in the 80s. All cars I drew from there looked like a cross between Condormans Car, KITT and the Coyote from Hardcastle and McCormick

This movie was one of my favorite as a kid!! I was amazed when the gypsy car turned into the racing car with all the gadgets!! I wanted a car like that and I pretended that I had one! amazing movie!

Remember seeing this film as a kid on TV and my dad was "Oh - It's Condorman" - counldn't understand he knew about a super hero I'd never heard of... Years later, while watching this clip, it dawns on me that I was born the year this film was made and he'd probably seen it at the cinema 🤣😂 And just realising now that it starred "Frank Spencer" ("Some mother's do 'ave 'em" was actually one of my favourite shows as a kid) 🤣

I remember watching this on TV as a kid on "The Wonderful World of Disney". I remember being so excited watching all the action and thrills it had. Needs to be put on Disney+

Whoever was in charge of the tech props was spot on - Apple touch tile and app interface, and center console Tesla tech. Early visionary, maybe Steve Jobs & Elon also watched this.

It is not implausible that the leader could drive his 935 on such bumpy grass. The Porsche 959 had AWD with an adjustable suspension and was successful as a rally car for several years so maybe his 935 was built with similar equipment. I would not be surprised if Porsche had a working 935 AWD prototype or two sitting around...

Watched it aged 6 at the cinema in Northampton with my granddad. Was a great day out.

I loved this Movie - So many and good memory i have in General. Good old days … Even without special effects like today - The actors and Characters were amazing played. I can say only one thing „Good old days“ 🥲😎

The only thing that topped the car chase was the speed boat chase in the finale.

The boats were custom made at the Chris Craft factory for the film and flown to Monte Carlo on a Cargo 747 at the last minute. The stunt drivers for the boats only had 24 hours to practice driving them before they were destroyed on camera. The entire boat chase was filmed in a single afternoon.

I saw this in the cinema with my brother and both my uncle and his wife when it came out in the cinema more than 40 years ago . 2 scenes including the truck descending seats into the sports car and the moment the hero opened up his wing suit to become condorman .Its been this long ago huh. Thanks 3rd uncle rest in peace wherever you are.

Estimating what those 911s would be worth today, this is to be considered as one of the most expensive stunt sequences in movie history.

Fantastic! My favorite movie as a kid. Natalya is gorgeous.

I was trying to remember what this film was only a few days ago, then up this pops in my feed! Brings back so many memories especially the car coming out of the truck like that. Must try and find the film to watch it all again...

That was epic! The special effects, the driving, the stunts... And the acting, 🤯

I loved this movie when I was a kid in the mid 1980s. I actually just loved this car chase scene. Must have scratched the VHS tape after rewinding it 30 times! 😁

My brother and I wore out the VHS as kids!!! One day the tape broke. My dad worked for Disney when we were little and would rent the actual 35mm reals of movies and project them on a screen in the front yard. He couldn’t play Condorman because it required a special lens on the projector. To this day, it’s still one of my favorite movies from my childhood.

It’s like the writer had seen The Spy Who Loved Me and thought “I wish I’d written that. Wait a minute…I CAN write that!”.

Driving stunts coordinated by Remi Julliene which is unusual for a Disney movie. It's possible he was used simply because those scenes were shot in Europe.

Bad guys always drive german cars 😆 I really loved that movie as a kid. Never forget the car chase scene and the great soundtrack. Thanks for bringing back the memories 👍🏽😊

Effen sweet! Greatest and best movie of all time! The boat at the end!

Fun Fact: the driving stunts were done by the legendary French stunt driver Remy Julienne and his team. The same people who did the stunts for The Italian Job & many James Bond movies.

I saw this movie in it's theatrical release here in Chile with my father. It blew my mind and it deserve a full restoration and a 4K release. Disney should license it to Arrow Video so we could have a fancy 4K like the one they gave to "Dune" or "True Romance".

This was back when Disney was trying out a lot of new things. Night Crossing came out the same year and also Dragon Slayer.

When I watched this as a kid, the scene of them lowering and the old truck falling away into a super cool car absolutely BLEW MY MIND. 😅

This was great in the day. I went home after watching it and made some wings with springs and climbed the shed roof bit never turned out well. You can’t flap. Lol.

A forgotten gem. Forgotten in part, from a British perspective, in that Michael Crawford had become so indelibly associated with a decidedly non-hero role (to the point where he could barely leave his flat) in the UK that it was difficult for many to realise what a profoundly good actor he is.

Memories of being a kid wanting to drive those gangsta Porsches! The greatest!

WE have this on VHS, recorded off TV I believe back when that was a thing, along with commercials. We enjoy the ridiculousness of this movie with each passing year.

Disney probably won’t release this film on Disney+ anytime soon. This movie is old enough that the original print is either decayed or lost in the film vault. That and the music rights weren’t updated for streaming.

Barbara Carrera never looked better than she did in this movie. Not even in NSNA (which was not an official Bond movie) Love this film. Rest of my family hate it along with Disney's other epic The Black Hole. Have to watc them on my own.
