$50 Knife challenge explained. Can you get an outdoor knife for $50 or under that is not a Mora and have a good outdoor / bushcraft knife? Do you know of a knife that fits these requirments? Let me know.

Excellent review. I got one in orange so I can find it quickly. The blade has a clean grind. The handle is a little smaller than Moras tend to run. That will be good for some and not so good for others. For large hands, just put a wrap of Wilson wrap or silicone plumbing tape and you are back up to size and goodbye to the hard handle. I may get a second one and try putting in micarta scales.

Some good points there. I'm noticing a lot more companies now are offering their blades in neon colors. Makes a lot of sense since there's a lot of people in this world that tend to put stuff down and lose it. If you do manage to get my car to scales on one I'd love to see it. For more $50 challenge prospects, try the Ukrainian knives such as BPS and Beavercraft. The larger ones in the $40 range are full tang with mostly hard wood handles. Mostly scandi, but some secondary V-edges too.

I have done three BPS knives on my channel. And I'm adding them to the $50 knife challenge cuz they fit the criteria. I wasn't aware of beaver craft I'm going to look into them. Thanks for the suggestions if you have any more hit me up.

I love my Moras. Have the Garberg in stainless and carbon, the Eldris , the Kansbol. The grip on the Kansbol would be much more what you're looking for , as would the Bushcraft Black, but the Kansbol is multi grind with a thinner tip like the Eldris. But my thing is having that knife that I can do flint and steel with, so I'm wondering if you tested that?
