Got the feeder cranked up I see. They run concrete here too from 2 plants with old precast and stuff hauled in with strippings and soft sandy rock. No roots. Makes some good stuff and cheaper than the granite. Plays the dickens on stopping up the cones with rebar and mesh though. Just have to stop and unwind. Usually get everything run in 2 days so it's not too bad. Keep on grinding.

Ich bin überrascht das ein Backenbrecher soviel Leistung hat! Das was ich bisher so gesehen habe war eher der fall das man mehr nachfühlt als der brecher selbst wegbekommt! Aber in dem fall ist es nicht so! Die ganze Sortierstraße ist sehr interessant. Wie das Material getrennt wird und das Überkorn gleich noch gebrochen wird und wieder mit drunter gemischt wird. Bloß habe ich nicht erkannt was für ein Brecher fürs Überkorn verwendet wird. Ist das vielleicht ein Kegelbrecher? In der Firma wo ich gearbeitet habe ist nur mit Prallmühle gebrochen worden. Und es hat nir eine sorte Betonschotter gegeben 0/50 mm.

What’s the Matt for that is slung over dump system guard? My first thought was that it’s to be thrown over the crash box for dust suppression maybe?

I would be POed if I was that loader operator because the machine has no flashing light! Lol.

They demolished a gas station down the road from me a few years ago, and used a machine like this to turn it all into a coarse gravel :-)

What does the return loop do? What drone are you using?

BASF just came out with a new product that eliminates this process! Just throw the appropriate amount of bags in the drum of mixer mix for a couple of minutes and discharge! Dries up cement and your left with sand stone and fines pretty neat around $10 bag and one bag treats about 1 yard ! However we still crush our leftover concrete too! Lol! Thanks for sharing 👍

Awesome footage, will the material be crushed for gravel and road base material? I like that there's no boring music to hear, just the sound of the machinery and seeing the material being stacked, how many loads go out to the customers

Yes, it is turned into road base. We usually have deliveries or pickups to the general public daily. We also supply our own projects going on as well.

14400 tons in a 8 hour shift. Pretty good. Those machines slowly eat themselves up, lots of maintenance

What’s your experience in getting parts and service for a powerscreen? Those are the two main reasons I stay away from that brand but I noticed a lot of people like them.

Its been about the same as other brands, normally we can keep the downtime to a few days at most usually on minor fixes.

Not trying to run your business, but have you considered using an excavator to load the crusher? That 966 can barely keep up, although it doesn't look like he is pushing it too hard.

Brian you are correct, we do usually use an excavator for concrete, not sure why they were running in this configuration. However the loader seemed to be keeping up okay at the time.

Incidental steel will be picked up by the magnet. I wouldn't deliberately put steel through it though.

@@scruffy6151 I'm tired too so that'll make 2 of us. Fixed 2 wheelbarrow tires 1st thing and then fired the mower and rode a while. Start trimming tomorrow I guess. That snow of yours is just waiting on winter to come back which will be next week. Come on down and I'll show you the pics of when we set the 1st crusher up that I didn't know anybody took. @@JoeRockYT On those Jaw Crusher Manganese Plates, how many tons/hours are you crushing before you have to flip them or before they are completely worn down? Does the oscillating plate get worn down before the stationary plate? Do you just flip the plates or do you change plate sides when you rotate them?

Electronics and rock crushers don't mix....thats what I learned when we rented these things....it was something everday...you really need to have someone who has been "in the trenches" with the machines to have them operate efficiently...we rented these blue ones as well....i never knew there where so many different manufacturers for something like this...i don't remember what the blue ones where called but we sent them packing affter only 1 month....the dealer sent out a "crusher mechanic" and the guy was as lost as us....not only that but he left his meth pipe in a bag on the tracks when he left....wtf....apparently the guys who work on these machines work crazy hours and when we called the manager he said in an Irish accent some boys have a problem....the only ones we where able to be productive with came from Switzerland...these where monsters and with almost no electronics....plus a cat engine so we could hook up to it and diagnose or clear fault codes.....terex.....i just remembered the name...looks like you guys got it down tho.....nothing but money....nice

We have definitely had our share of issues with them, they have weird quirks to them and odd parts, you are 100% right about having someone that understands them close by because when things do go south you need to know the right person to troubleshoot them or your going to be down for awhile.

@@JoeRockYT yep we just didn't have the right guy....these dealers are hyper competitive and as soon as they saw a different machine on sight....we lost almost all support .....its all good tho I learned alot and we will be ready if we do crushing again.....i actually became very proficient in the dark arts of belt flashing installation.....move the machine at the end of the day for what???? Your good no build up! Good luck out there and thanks for the response

I had a hard time understanding them on the phone or catching on to there Irish lingo....theres timber in your bace rock...the hood over the engine is the bonnet....and a spanner is a wrench...also a flat tire is a puncture

Look around the 2:18 mark in the video, to the left of the crusher on the ground you will see a scattered pile of steel that has been kicked out on the ground from the magnet. Its fairly dusty but look closely. It can also be seen again at 10:25 on the right hand side this time, actually a better view.

@@JoeRockYT They may have one by now. I've been gone for a while. They had a pickup that the sensitivity could be set to stop the jaw belt and then somebody had to go hunt whatever tripped it out on the belt itself and then reset it. It'd pick up poptops and such. Just needed another belt with a magnet. All 3-phase. Seems like the jaw belt was about 6 feet wide. Jaw was 36x48. No wasted motion.

I would not recommend that. Possibly for non-spec mix such as fence posts or something similar. Its best to use this for road base or some type of fill material IMO.

If they made concrete roadways a proper depth, they would never have to replace roadways but it keeps the construction industry going.
