Sir: I've heard this work at least 2000 times during the course of my life but I can honestly say that this performance -- with your outstanding technique, conscious avoidance of the sustain pedal, dynamics and phrasing that are completely faithful to the intentions of the composer, and the incredible visuals -- is among the most compelling. Bravo!!

You forgot a few more features of this performance. The timing is perfect and precise.
Tears of delight
OMG DAVID!! THAT WAS MAGNIFICENT!! NOT ONLY CAN YOU WATCH AND LISTEN TO YOUR MUSIC, YOU ALSO ALLOW US TO EXPERIENCE IT! THIS WAS AN ELECTRIFYING PERFORMANCE!!
Incredible rendition. Rarely hear and see this with such clarity and technique.
I now know why renaissance people had so many kids. Life was nothing but love and beautiful music.
SPLENDID rendition! Bravo
Once again, when played with feeling and superb technique, Bach rocks! This was terrific - thank you for posting it.

Outstanding performance, Sir! Bravo....
Incredible work. Wondering why this precious work is not getting viral....God need to create more number of music lovers in this world....
Well done 👏 David
Bach in Kawai, a wonderful combination. literally an age gap more than 4 centuries. love to listen Bach, and love to listen Kawai ,and love to listen you to play them.
Magnificent
Awesome!
Amazing as always David!
This is incredible !!!
Wow amazing!
Bravo, excellent.
Me encanta 🥰
Amazing David !!!!!
Another stunning piece, David! I love how you don't allow the orchestration to overpower your magnificent piano work. What a joy to behold as you play so effortlessly; thank you for sharing your gift! Teresa
Breathtaking!! Bravo!!
Beautiful!! I always enjoyed playing Bach but I don't' think my hands would hold out long enough any more to perform a piece like this.
OMG, what sound!!
Thanks for sharing, and what a performance, clean, energetic, and uplifting!
So great! Genius Bach and the pianist 😊
This is an amazing performance of an amazing concerto. Respect!
Wonderful and very good performance, as always, David! Thanks!
Thrilling, exhilarating, magnificent performance!🎹
I like this movement very much. Thank you :)
Thrilling. Full of life. Exhilarating. I liked the orchestral background
I find the number of different visual perspectives given in this video is really useful. You can see how light your hands are on the keys, how they move and what patterns of fingering emerge. Its a unique video in this way and it makes the performance all the more inspiring. Great Job!
Bravissimo!
Bravo. The best I have heard
Fantastico!
This performance is so wonderful to listen to - have listened three times so far!🎹☀️💕🎵
Wonderfull! Veramente incredibile il movimento delle tue mani! Bravissimo!!!
Thank you so much for introducing me to this wonderful piece. This is the piece i always come back to listen and i think i already listend to it at least 30 times. In my ears it is the best of your arrangements and i know i will be back soon ;D I think i have a new favorite piece
Bravo, bravo, bravissimo!
Wow you are truly made piano sound like harpsacord
FanTASTic!!😀😀😀😀
This piece of music is incredible, and your interpretation outstands away from others, really cautivant.
Every day i watch your videos to get inspiration. Thank u David for all your work. Love from India.
I have loved listening to this concerto for months now, and was thrilled to see that you had made sheet music and a video for it! Maybe someday I’ll be skilled enough to play it. Outstanding job playing the piano like a harpsichord!
I just started learning this piece, which is one of my absolute favorite works by Bach. I really appreciate your clear and easy to read transcription of Bach’s score, which makes it easier to learn. I can hardly wait to learn the rest of this piece! I’ll use your fantastic performance as a guide and inspiration along the way!
Outstanding performance David! You have the most educated pair of hands I have ever seen on a piano. They glide over the keys. You have a great mind and heart! You may be the Chopin of this era....I feel at soe future date you will be remembered in similar fashion! Best regards...Will Ortiz

I usually call him the Bach of our days, Chopin is not bad though.
Hello David, this is one of my favourites too! Wow, what an energetic, whirlwind, vivacissimo performance, goodness me! I prefer the slower tempo but fantastic to hear you play wonderful Bach and your incredible interpretation! Thank you. 🎹 ✨
Grande David......sei mitico sei grande un abbraccio da un pianista .......
I love your music and your way of playing. It is always a joy to listen to you and I thank you for the emotions you can give to my heart. I hug you :)
This movie of BWV1052 by Johann Sebastian Bach is really great... Congratulations! I loved this video!
Nice. I like it.
Magnificent! A masterpiece! Maestro your performance is extraordinary! Greetings from Peru 🇵🇪 =) and we'd love to hear Bach's two-part inventions =D best wishes maestro, you're truly an inspiration for many of us
This touched my heart. I love Bach you can see in my Chanel . And this was just fabulous
👏

How do you pipe in the orchestra track? Marvelous performance and piano.
Excellent performance, thank you! Where can I take backing track used in your video?
Love, love , love your performance! Such a confident yet light touch! Where is backing track from? I would love to play along while practising too
Аwesome!
That was truly wonderful! J. S. Bach is one of my favorite composers, and I've always enjoyed playing his music. Thank you for sharing your music! A couple questions: this is the first time I noticed that unique mic system you have in your piano. What is that? I ask because I'm hoping to start making my own recordings and I'm exploring options. Also, what software are you using on that tablet? How does it automatically turn pages? That's something else I'm very interested in.
Beautiful Job, David...One thing about Bach Fugues..They just never let up to let you catch your breath! You must be aware every second or you'll just get lost. You must have put in quite alot of practice time on that one. I think I've heard Karl Richter play it awhile back , but I think I like your somewhat faster tempo better. Super job and perfect coordination with the orchestra. That alone takes even another kind of skill because it's right in the pocket. I really enjoyed it on the piano instead of the Harpsichord.
I love
Wow u always make it look so easy. 😂
Can you do a tutorial on how to play "The First Nowell" that you did a long time ago?
Wow !!! How can I get a hold of the orchestra minus the piano so I can try and do this exactly even if takes me 10 years ! This is what I’ve been looking for

Absolutely great interpretation! Where does the orchestra sound come from?
I like this performance, thanks! Is it a secret or is it public how you managed to install the cameras...? I am wondering... For example the one that views from your hands' point of view.... an does not resonate at all absolutely stable... an so on :D
Still trying to decide if your fingers are like butterflies dancing on the piano keys or hummingbirds fluttering away. Utterly fascinating.
Where is orchestra located ? Very clearly played !!!
String samples? Spitfire? A new venture for our ears. Very nicely done. Some have mentioned the strings volume, I would move them wider, not further down; distance might solve their issue. Proximity, not loudness in my opinion.

Yes they are Spitfire. They were recorded ‘in Situ’ so I felt that the spacing was perfect. I think she was referring to the tutti sections where the piano shouldn’t stand out anyway.

@@David_Hicken Albion is truly a wonderful concept, recorded in Air Studios. One day I might be able to afford the addition to my current set up, or, if Christian is feeling generous, he might send me one when I win one of his competitions :). As for your music and performance; Nice job.

@@wyshwood Everything that Spitfire makes is fantastic, but of course you need to take out a second mortgage to buy them all. Christian is a great bloke and had a similar background to mine, singing in cathedral choirs.

SO WHEN YOU GONNA TEACH US TOO SCUBa DIVE. JUST JOKING. I DO ENJOY THE BEARD YOU LOOK GREAT EITHER WAY. BRAVO
Would be amazing to see and hear this without the orchestra at all.
