Concepts and Conceptual Thinking

Concepts might be helpful for simplifying complex ideas, but sometimes conceptual thinking and concepts can take us away from direct contact with reality. Though conceptual thinking is becoming mainstream in our western society and though concepts are being appreciated and even overrated, but here are things we need to know before adopting conceptual thinking.

I would have several personal stories to tell about those simplistic and judgemental ways of putting children or adults in a box based on inflexible psychological theories. That's irrelevant now, but it's just to say that I agree with you based on firsthand experiences that I consider abusive, even. Especially if the "patient" is a kid. I know how it feels when, as you say, you're not really listened to, but treated just as an instance of a rigid preconception. Sometimes getting information on psychology has helped me to ask myself the right questions but, when it comes to pratical solutions, only some special people can help (but they could do it even if they weren't psychologists, because that depends more on their personal qualities than on their "scientific" degree). As for the other qualified or unqualified "experts", the so-called therapy can go on forever, due to its ineffectiveness and/or because it's a way to get more business for longer. Not to mention how many children are forced to take very strong psychiatric drugs for presumed "attention deficit disorders" and other "diseases", just not to raise and teach them more effectively. What's happening in some schools is scary, like when a child is more intelligent and honest than all the adults around him and those treat him as an outcast just because he questions their hypocrisy and methods. And, as you explain, the legal system may even rely on such approximations and ruin people's lives forever. I am very grateful for what you are doing for reducing people's temptation of taking psychology as infallible. After all, I guess no valuable discipline gives good fruit if it's applied in a mechanical manner, with no openness to the particular case and no intuition. Whenever I feel like some acquired psychological concepts are stigmatizing me instead of helping me, I think about your liberating message and I feel better. I have hope and I believe that your approach is the one that will finally heal me, since it's grounded in right action and not in prejudices. Your course is the only path of growth that I was ever willing to follow, precisely because it's not based on a limiting schema. Otherwise, I've always been skeptical, and I've rather dealt with my pain alone than numbing it with meds or telling it to judgemental people. It took me about ten years of suffering to get to you and your special ways, but I am proud to have endured the wait without letting any mediocre psychologist or any narcissist totally convince me that I was hopelessly "nuts". I say thank you again, and I renew my commitment to your course and my admiration for your precious work.

I'm glad you're here. It really makes me so happy to here that you've succeeded to get out of the mainstream concepts, including those who are recognised by the bureaucratic establishment. That could be mission impossible for many. You can call yourself lucky or special, but most importantly is that you're genuinely free. I hope viewers take a moment to read your comment. Your experience could save many people time and energy. I'm looking forwards to seeing you soon 🌹

Great VIdeo and very important topic! I have been a victim of such so-called "experts" who have confined themselves to a few psychological theories and generalize the whole world under that lens. they never open up to any other idea except what they have learned previously.
