Great production and celebration of Grenadian culture!

Grenada Bele by Conception Dance Theatre The jumbie (as they are singing in the beginning) is a Ladiabless (Grenada folklore) a pretty female with a cow foot, who tricks males in the night. She is usually dressed in white with her head covered. In this dance the dancers in white are the ladiabless who disguised themselves (by changing costumes) tricked the male dancer and caused a village fight. Its all revealed at the end. Its a shame more Men not involved in this particular Folk Dance ... NO SHOES, dance it the way it should.,wearing Jazz shoes NO NO NO

I saw the Dominica group did this same Dance Bele, and i do love this version, just saying

this would have been an amazing visual if they only have good recording skills!
