this could easily be a paid tutorial man! Amazing
you covered in this one equally consise and comprehensive tutorial what i spent thousands of pounds at university to learn, its truly incredibly conscientious of you to make something of such high quality and value available to those who need it for free i wish you great things and happiness, thank you ❤️
Omg the quality of this content. It's too good. Thank you so much. One of the best tutorialss
best tutorial i ever seen, dude really walks you through EVERY little detail of what you need to know.
Thank you for this! I have been painting in photoshop for quite some time now and I was about to skip the tool introduction part but then I thought, might as well refresh my tool knowledge and hell, I'm so glad I didn't skip the part, there are so many things I didn't know you could do!
I really got so much out of this. I took Dylan Coles courses through Gnomon many, many years ago. This was a great refresher. Thanks so much.
Okay, I've just watched the first 13 minutes and have learned the same amount of information as the last 4/5 days of tutorials.. Thank you my guy. I will be back to watch the rest!
Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for releasing this tutorial for free. I just successfully made my first sci-fi concept art and it turned out beautifully! (Beginner's standards) Thank you again!
Thank you! This is so helpful:) I am seventeen year old girl who wants to become a concept artist but it's so hard to find good tutorials and i am so glad that i found this tutorial, thank you! I'm so sorry for my bad english, english is not my mother language!

Anselmi J awesome!!! So happy you like it!!
This is actually a very 'soothing' and 'comforting' tutorial somehow, seemed irrelevant adj. maybe but seriously the vibe of this video is calming, like I watched over the whole video and didn't really notice it's been more than an hour. Plus, so many useful details in every minute. Gonna watch this again and take some notes down. Thank you for making this tutorial!
This was such a learning experience, you've blown my mind.
One of the best tutorials I have ever seen, and i have seen alot!
I did not plan to watch this entire video, but I just couldn't stop. Thanks so much for sharing your techniques!
Thank you. Excellent tutorial. Explaining the tools at the beginning so that you could demonstrate, in detail, how the could be used in your work is a very effective way to teach. The discussion of composition and use of color is valuable too. Thank you for being so generous with your time and expertise.
I found you through your article "beginner's guide to selling game art assets online" and wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you compiling that. I'm super new to UE4/game assets and trying to figure out how to use blender/UE4/Quixel mixer has been a bit of a learning curve. However, I'm really excited about making my own game assets and eventually a game. This video is really helpful too because I've never really done concept art but I visualize how I want things to look in my mind a lot. I've never really been able to get it out on paper etc though. I think it will help a lot not only in making concept art for things, but also making web comics and graphics to include in game on assets etc. I'm hoping to be able to apply these techniques in Krita however because I don't have photoshop ^^
this is one of the most helpful art videos ive ever seen
This video bridged the gap between using paint and photo manipulation techniques perfectly! Thank you 🙏
Epic tutorial! Can't wait to work on these techniques. Thank you!
something subtle about bladerunner is the different signage tech. you have the can lights, the neon, but you also had holographic looping displays, led's and of course led's on blimps. The different tech of the buildings was also something, the big corporations were in high tech steel and glass with cutting edge architecture, whereas the poor small business retailers were just old store fronts in setups like we are used to (old) (this is the archetypal Castle with small buildings and hovels gathered around). and then the large empty buildings or large living spaces which indicated a population contraction that made large living spaces cheap in some areas of the city, thus the reason for replicants in the first place. Also, in the original Blade runner, Japan (and the asian tigers, singapore, s korea, etc) was hugely ascendant in the 1980's , they were buying up a lot of urban real estate in the US, this is also a component in Die Hard, it was just part of the zeitgeist of the 1980's, just as China feels ascendant currently. It gave the movie the feel of a post america dystopia, or more specifically a post 1950's America and a strange new tech giant controlled future. The movie makes it a lot more sexy than the current reality of google, amazon, FB totally dominating huge swaths of our perception of reality.
Ive been looking for a video like this for a week. Ty so much. Ill be here bright and early following along tomorrow
Wow, half way through and ive learned SO much o_o. Best tutorial ive watch and well worth staying up till 2am to finish it.
It's... INSANE!!! How much infos, tips and advices I get from your video!!! It will greatly help me to renew my love of digital creation after so many long decades of "creativity dryness"... Thank you so much for that, for your help!! 🥰
Thank you sir. Because of this video I learned so much and finished my first photo-bash painting. Thanks🙏🙇
This has helped me a lot, I thought "I know photoshop already" but this video showed me a lot of techniques to use them that I never seen before, as well as reminding me that knowing how to use the software doesn't mean you know how to compose an artwork
So generous to present this wonderful tutorial for free, really thanks alot!!

This is by far the most informative tutorial i've come across, thank you so much!
Very helpful motivational and philosophizing on the concept of painting and creating art, let alone the technical acumen of creating a piece. Exceedingly helpful tutorial.
Your advice at 31:00+ is so true! It is so hard to get out there, show your process. Processes are messy, and we are very vulnerable during that. In our own heads, as much as what the folks watching are thinking. Shoot, most of the time, they won't even know that you messed up! I try to tell myself that...But, it can be hard to get past that. That's why I have so few vids on YT. So, keep up the good work, the good advice, and continue to grow and be amazing!
excellent tutorial. long but worth it. ive been using photoshop for over a decade for concepting and digital art and i learnt alot just watching this. watched alittle everyday as i work towards finishing a competition submission

Very very nice tutorial! Thanks for sharing. Learned a lot of it. Good point is the fear of making mistakes: Yes. I guess the way to master art it to manage your thoughts and the ability to laugh about them. Thx again!
This is an excellent video. So well done and so honest with great advice. Would love to see more

If Bob Ross was alive and teaching concept art. Thank you sir! This video has motivated me more than any concept art video ever has.
Best tutorial out there. Please do more. Liked and subbed! Thanks!
Bro this helped me so much ! Just got back into art and this answered all of my questions!
Absolutely love this tutorial. Very encouraging and useful. I've been using photoshop for over a decade and am familiar with all of your techniques, but I learned a lot of quicker ways to do things I've been doing forever by watching the first 5 minutes of your video. Your perspective of making mistakes and just hammering things out is a great reminder as well. Thank you so much and great job!

Wow, this tutorial was great. I’m an abstract digital artist. I just wanted an answer to, “What techniques are used in Photobashing?” I thought I wanted a 5-minute answer. I watched this through to the end. It was great hearing your narrative and watching you work. Yes, mistakes and all. I am a technical instructor and I tell my students, “‘people who do it right the first time don’t learn as much.” Excellent work.
All my questions regarding this process have been answered!!! Thank you so much for sharing your process and tips! 💛

This is an amazing tutorial and I am glad that you haven't done a speed art tutorial, as there is so little good tutorials here on high quality photo bashing.
This is one of the best tutorial Thanks You so much
This is such a good tutorial. I was watching you paint and when you started talking about how watching Feng Zhu and Church paint can be so frustrating and discouraging, it really hit home. I'm an older guy, and I've done art my whole life, but I really want to be good at concept art and environment creation. I started watching Feng and was just really discouraged. I don't have a lot of time to spend because I'm working full time and I have a family with little kids. I get a little time here and there, sometimes on the computer and sometimes with pencil and paper. It is REALLY slow going. I wanted to take some classes, but they're very expensive and, while I'm not poor by any means, dropping $300 on an art class isn't a main priority. So, it's just nose on the grindstone. Anyway, I really appreciate the work you put into this and how you realize that it can be very frustrating for beginners to watch those guys and girls that have it all figured out painting. I'll take any help I can get. :) And I love Bladerunner, by the way. :D
