This cut came out 3 yrs ago, and every month since then, it remains relevant and trending on X. Only Zack could do a great redeeming arc for Ryan Lantern. What a waste. 😢😢

Get someone in who does serious mature, dark, gritty, visually stunning, epic movies....oh wait we already did have in Snyder etc! And the hits just keep on coming. I like your tone in this video. Shows your true feelings about all of this. Hurt, ticked off, frustrated, astounded, yet it is what it is and we all have to live with it. Have this feeling that Netflix is also messing with Snyder. In a different way though. Hopefully he comes out on top over there. Our DC hopes are over for the most part but this new DCU definitely has a chance. Yeah, I had the same thought: there's no vitriol or anger, just disappointment. It's what makes me pessimistic about the DCU because Warner Bros. just doesn't know how to leave creatives alone. And with the Coyote v Acme stuff, who would want to work with them?

I think Snyder thought of Reynolds being in the movie of JL 1 but never actually wrote it, then decided to save it for the other two, because only 1 Green Lantern was filmed. Either way if Reynolds was there or not, that scene would have still been removed at the end of the day. It was poorly planned, like Snyderverse which is why there wasn't a lot of news except some casting for Green Lantern. I think WB stopped Snyder's vision because of how rushed and poorly planned it was. A lot of things needed to slow down but didn't. A '3d logo' projecting on their chest, seems cool in paper, but honestly a pointless character design in life action. There is no reason for it, because it's basically 2 logo's on top of each other. I think Geoff only wanted a lighter tone on Man of steel, as well as everyone that didn't enjoyed the movie and eventually Cavill too, for the future of a Superman sequel. Back in 2017 things were rushing up a lot and needed to be save for their solo films (if they were going to get their way), hence why I think a lot of JL was removed and changed and made Superman, the Superman we know with Cavill enjoying it. Also the reaction of Snydercut, with no reshoots, wouldn't have changed much as well. Fans would not like Snyder for what he did. There would be cool action scenes, but a 4 hour movie would have never worked in the theaters and would have still been cut. This is why you need to build up your movie with solo films and that would reduce the runtime. Not to mention Snyder's vision for JL part 2 and 3 is just a horrible mess. With Darkseid already being the second villain when they just battled Steppenwolf as a team for the first time and when Clark went from depressed to injustice Superman for 97% of the Snyderverse and becoming the Superman we know before a reboot and with Lois' baby that is not even his. That is just a huge slap to the face for a hero like Superman that Snyder did. Yes, they removed that part and by that I meant along with his plans of JL part 2 and 3. Snyderverse would have destroyed Snyder for good, if it had continued as planned. Anyone saying that only WB ruined DC and not Snyder, when in fact both of them did, sadly don't know much of how a great cinematic universe works and they let their ego's do all the talking, not to mention some secretly might even want the DCU to fail, just to make the Snyderverse look good. The DC world is about making great stories about the characters I love and grew up with, not because of Snyder or his cast. Snyder only is good at making a scene look great, but when it comes to the story, he is just horrible at it, like his latest one. Even if Snyder left or stayed, it would have failed both ways. He just can't make a great cinematic universe.

From what I understand of Zack plan is that he was about to play with the multiverse in his universe; we all know that he was plan to do his own Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover so it was never a 5 movies story arc. and if he was about to do the Crisis on Infinite Earths then i believe that he had plan the same thing as MCU is doing now with their multiverse like bring in Andrw and Toby's Spiderman, Ryan's Deadpool, Fox's X-men and not to mention of Netflix daredevil... so my believe is Snyder was trying to do the same with all other DC movies that came out before. just like he was trying bring Ryan's Green Lantern and redeem the characters who know he would have bring Halle Berry's Catwomen or Brandon Routh's superman for redeem the character like Ryan's Green Lantern or even christen bale's batman in his Crisis on Infinite Earths movie.. just like MCU doing it right now... but why you need that when you can do worse CGI of dead people in movie and get flops (Flash movie) that's your WB.

Hello,👋 Our Movie News! (Or whatever your real name is) You don’t know me, but I’ve been watching your videos ever since Zack Snyder’s Justice League came out on March 18th 2021. First of all, I like the concept art for Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern. It makes me wish we could’ve seen him on the big screen with ZSJL sequels (which well more likely than not, never get, but it’s still what people would like!) I really like your videos and channel because you always seem to not get too angry or overly upset whenever there seems to be bad news about DC/Warner Brothers. (You still of course say that you’re unhappy when you say and mean it in your videos, yet I like that you seem to stay calm. I really respect that). I like that you give us the correct information regarding DC, Warner Brothers, and more. I agree with you on what you said in the video, that Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and John Stewart played by Wayne T. Carr really would’ve been a major boost for the RestoreTheSnyderverse hashtags. But Warner Brothers wouldn’t let Zack Snyder have the creative control he needed/wanted since they claimed they had plans of their own with Green Lantern. Yet they didn’t make ANYTHING regarding those characters ever since 2011’s Green Lantern movie did so miserably! Looking at Warner Brothers decisions in the past few years, it goes to show that they really haven’t changed a bit! It makes me so angry and upset for the DC Comics live action future. And I’m really hoping that James Gunn’s Superman Legacy staring David Corenswet as Superman will do good at the box office, connect well with the audience, and be a good story as a whole that we can all enjoy! I love DC Comics franchise (and others) and I really want to see it succeed. But it’s just so difficult to find that success when there’s a bunch of useless idiot studio executives (like Walter Hamada, Geoff Johns and others) putting their own egos and interests above telling good stories with characters that we love! They made either mediocre or awful films that were trying to pull away from Snyder’s vision for DC stories all because they don’t/didn’t like Snyder. They didn’t listen to the fans who were begging 🙏 for better DC content with good stories and they didn’t even care! This is why we REQUIRE people who know the DC Comics franchise and its character’s personalities, can writer good scripts plus tell good stories, and studio executives who aren’t intolerable egomaniacs ! James Gunn and Peter Safran had better deliver with their movies even if I don’t fully trust them, because if Superman Legacy fails, where will DC go from there?!

I somehow have little faith in James Gunn and his plan, because I didn't like his Suicide Squad and the recast of all the actors except for those who starred in The Squad, Peacekeeper and Blue Beetle, it's a double question. In addition, he said that he thinks superheroes are stupid and hates the Batman adaptations by Burton and Nolan.

This would of been so cool if green lantern was connected to snyderverse i liked ryan as green lantern despite the movie being very controversial there was some truly good things in that movie like sinestro in the movie looks and feels like sinestro that we all know

The original outline for JL 3 was from an earlier version of the story where GL didn't appear in JL 1. The exact line is, "We open by introducing Green Lantern to the Justice League film universe," as in, he wasn't in it before. So in that version, there weren't going to be two Lanterns. Also, it only ever refers to him as "Lantern," not Hal. It could, of course, be Hal or Stewart - but there's no evidence of there being multiple Lanterns in the story at once (at least before the final battle at the end). If Jordan and Stewart were both meant to show up in the Snyder Cut version of JL 1, then fair enough, since that was already a later version of the story. Also, it makes no sense to canonize Green Lantern 2011. In Man of Steel, everyone was shocked by the existence of aliens. They were a new thing. If Parallax had attacked an entire city a mere two years prior, and if a guy in a green suit had saved it, everyone would have speculated at a connection between that and Zod. Everyone would have assumed Hal was the "alien fugitive" Zod was looking for.

Sucks we didn’t get it, Warner bros kinda sucks as a studio in my opinion tho. They stop a lot of things from happening.

I'm no Ryan Reynolds fan but it would've been nice to see him get redemption and it would've been a good look on the studio but nope ego got in the way as usual

I don’t like Reynolds returning to GL but it certainly would change that ever present idea of Reynolds as GL just being a recurrent joke.

I really don’t get why they seemed to try to avoid Green Lantern at all costs for the DCEU, I think it’s probably because of the failure of the 2011 movie but that doesn’t mean you should ignore one of the biggest parts of DC, the Justice League felt so incomplete to me without a Lantern in the roster, and I especially don’t get why they wouldn’t let Snyder put John and maybe Hal in the Snyder Cut, I know it’s been said it was because of the Green Lantern Corps show they were working on but I find that to be stupid because Hal and John weren’t gonna be the focus of that show (even though they should’ve been, Gunn’s definitely fixed that), it was gonna focus on Guy Gardner and Alan Scott even though Alan isn’t even a member of the Green Lantern Corps, he just uses the name, there’s that and they said how the Snyder Cut wasn’t canon to the DCEU movies we were seeing in theaters, why would seeing Hal and John in a movie be a bad thing for a show it’s not even connected to, if anything wouldn’t that have gotten people somewhat more interested in seeing the Green Lanterns and in the process the show if they saw the two of them in the movie. Seriously glad Gunn isn’t being dumb in that regard by ignoring the Lanterns cause they might have the most potential in DC (even though I think sticking them to a show instead of a movie series isn’t doing enough but I’ll take what I can get)

No. It's because WB thinks Geoff Johns owns the Green Lantern IP. They didn't and won't allow a human Green Lantern in ANY movie without Geoff Johns' permission.

Tbh would've like to see james marsden as hal jordan cause since they did him dirty as cyclops in the last stand so like ben affleck getting a second chance to playing another superhero think james marsden deserves another chance

I’m personally glad this didn’t happen, the Snyder cut was sooooo good but seeing Ryan Reynolds back as Hal Jordan would’ve been a real head scratcher, I would’ve preferred Snyder casted a different actor as the Dceu Hal Jordan.

As much as I LOVE Mos, bvs and ZSJL and basically the snyderverse, its nw gone. Let's just hope WB don't screw up Gunn's DCU.

One thing that always personally and excuse my language that pissed me off is how there were actually no green lantern like yes I know we got that awesome Yalan Gur cameo in Justice league but as a die hard GL fan and a universe about dc characters there should’ve been a GL project in the Dceu because he’s one of the most important characters and it should’ve Star Jordan while Stewart should’ve been in the Justice league. Hopefully Gunn does the lanterns right because that’s my most anticipated show in this new DCU.

WB is a horrible company. From not having a plan for their universe, hiring Snyder who had a plan, then botching the movies he & Ayer made bc they wanted it to play more in theaters basically doing short term gains over long term. Not giving teams time to finish visuals/not giving them enough money. Not delaying when they fall behind schedule, literally Snyder’s daughter unalived herself & WB were so hardset on its release bc it gave the already fat cats bonuses. They wanted to compete with marvel so bad they cut corners & made unseen movies for tax breaks. And they won’t say how big Snyder’s movies (ZSJL) did bc it’ll prove they’re failures. Those first couple movies with him made bank. Even the edited/theatrical ones. (BvS, SS1) And it’s easy to believe of corporate sabotage. I love both Marvel & DC. Would’ve been cool if both competed annually. But it seems like marvel lovers didn’t want competition. No secret Rotten Tomatoes sucks & is inconsistent. Other superhero films have bad visuals at times but only the DCEU is talked about. I liked Gunn’s MCU & DC films & shows but he’s no head of DC. Should’ve been the guy they hired the first time. And didn’t he take The Batman 2 script for his own?! 😂 I’ve also heard movies like Flash, BB, Shazam 2 were the end of the DCEU but now they’re apart of the DCEU. 🙄🤦🏽‍♂️ I’ll take it but omfg. They were released to die. So haters can say “see , I was right about the DCEU being 💩.” Gunn has also redone cameos & changed scripts for a couple of the last DCEU movies. They brought back Cavill & Ben. Both went nowhere & we never saw Ben bc he was replaced with Clooney who said he’s not coming back. 🤣 The only movies I can vaguely remember that were delayed were Black Adam & Flash. Adam was good & made good money. But that China release kind of affected it but not to the point of cancellation. BA2 could’ve been Cavill Superman needing Shazam to help him but WB are idiots & don’t listen to fans. I will say I don’t like how The Rock handled that situation.

He played the infamous mute Deadpool in a Wolverine movie (I guess you're too young to remember) before his successful career happened after returning to that character. It's quite realistic that he would totally sign up for a return to Green Lantern to redeem it like he did with Deadpool. He's also a fan of Zack Snyder.

These internet complaints and echo chambers are so contradictory that it has no meaning. These Zack Snyder movies would not of been liked regardless. As too many people online complain that all he does is make dark emo films. The issue with talking heads on Twitter and KZread acknowledge the contradictory opinions on the same platform. Coyote and Roadrunner was on its way to being as disliked as Space Jam 2. Whatever dark, edgey version of Green Lantern Zack Snyder wanted would turn away lots of Green Lantern fans. Batgirl? The internet was waiting to rip apart that movie. Every KZreadr just creates an echo chamber where he tells himself that his perspective is what everyone wanted. Fandoms aren't echo chambers dude. The people in these comments are DC fans. People who hate Snyder's movies are passionate obsessed Snyder haters, not DC fans. They have been hating Snyder even before his DC days. Just 'cause they say something like "he shouldn't touch DC" doesn't make them fans. They just want MCU 2.0 with DC characters.

Ryan’s GL movie was good, again WB botched DC movies. Ever since Donner’s last couple Superman movies. That should tell you a lot. Greed is a hell of a thing. If it weren’t for Hollywood’s weird fetish for big giant clouds being the bad guy & the too blue contacts & maybe the cgi suit, it was good

WB is def to blame but to say synder has no blame is completely disingenuous. You really think killing Superman in the second movie of the universe was smart? You think bringing him back in two movies later is smart? You think batman hooking up with Lois Lane cucking superman would be a good idea? Even though the sunder cut is better, you think a movie that's 4 hours long would have made a shit ton of money? WB is the reason the DCEU sucked but Synder laid bad foundation for the universe because he wasn't planning a universe he knew the films he wanted to make and didn't think about how it would effect the future or other films of the universe as a whole.

And also planned out future story where batman cucked superman to make him evil. You could've had BvS without killing off Superman after your SECOND FILM IN THE UNIVERSE. That's not how you build and was completely a wrong move.

G'day it's Steven from Down Under again YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH! Warner Bros/DC is a hot burning and embarrassing mess. Thank you for your genuine opinion and reporting the unbiased facts. I'm seriously fatigued and disappointed with this ongoing saga, clearly Warner Bros/DC continues to be full of incompetent self-centred morons that don't appreciate DC and it's heritage, nor do they listen to the fans, and instead they doubledown on their stubborn nonsense and continue to do so. Hopefully WB will be bought out and all current DC projects will cease, yes I want Superman to succeed but not under the circumstances, he's my childhood hero and the world's first and longest established superhero, imagine that, owning this IP and stuffings things up to this monumental degree. Meh

A guy like Geoff Johns doing such horrible work with DC films when he's also done such great work in their comics just seems crazy to me. On paper it seems like a great idea to have a prolific comic book writer who's obviously familiar with the source material be involved on the movie end with those same characters yet in the movies he's played a hand in delivering lots of crap. I still think having comic book writers giving input to/consulting comic book films is a great idea but I guess Johns is a rare exception. Just seems to me like the guy's a jerk in real life.

So WB didn’t let Snyder put green lantern in his movie because they didn’t want to confuse audiences with a show that doesn’t exist? Somebody for the love of god shut this company down

exactly...I will tell you the real reason. WB thinks Geoff Johns owns the Green Lantern IP. They didn't and will never allow any movie to have a human GL unless he permits them. I know it's hard to believe but that's the strange reality. And off course, frustrated of his own failures with a GL movie, he didn't permit WB to let Snyder use any human GL ever since the plans were being drawn back in 2015 even when the Snyder Cut was supposed to be completely Snyder's vision.

Reminds me of the internet drama in 2016 with Suicide Squad (game) and Gotham Knights being cancelled. In 2024 those 2 games are fully released yet all the internet does is rip them apart. If these Snyder films were released, the overall internet would rip them to pieces. Best case scenario, the internet would call the film overhyped and overrated
