So much agree ! Powder under the eyes ? No way ! Every tiny line and wrinkle goes full beam !

I am so relieved to hear I'm not the only one that has problems with the maybelline age rewind . I've tried it many times, bought different colors, tried different methods, it always ages my skin and made me look much older than I was at the time. I was reconsidering trying it again since I turned 50 this year but you just validated my feelings and I will not waste my money. I will try one of your other recommendations! Thank you!!

I am only 42 with dark circles since my mid 20s… 😢 and the maybelline makes me Look very old too. I use the lancome teint idole one or for more coverage tarte tape shape in the moment…

I'm 66 and Maybelline Instant Age Rewind makes me look like the crypt keeper.

I too could NEVER make the maybelline rewind work for me! THANK YOU for this....as I thought it was me, but finally accepted that after repurchasing an embarrassing amount of time to try to make it work. And that applicator - for me - was a complete NIGHTMARE! Glad I've found your videos, thank you!

OMG, we are exactly the same. I'm 53 and have been lucky enough to make it this far before needing concealer. It was new to me and took me a long time to figure out what works. I thought something was wrong with me cuz I hated the Maybelline Age Rewind. I finally tried the Kosas on Amanda Z's recommendation and hit a home run. My holy grail. Self setting, no powder needed.

Also, Thank you for a very nice and thorough video of lesser expensive concealers that I’ve been wondering about. I listened all the way through because you have a lovely persona and naturally gracious, soothing voice. I say this because voices sometimes bug me. (and I love young people but their singsong, self-absorbed tone is hard to take. ) You are very easy to listen to and learn from. Thank you! Oh, and I am stuck because looking shiney doesn’t work on my angular face, but I need lots of coverage just under the eyes. Usually end up kinda chalky if fully covered…..but feel sad and tired when the darkness shows. 😣

This is such a great video. Very helpful to see the concealers in action without corrector and up close. I am in the same boat with the same issues. I have heavy concealers, correctors ... which make the thin skin sag/dry/more prominent. I look forward these. Thank you again!

Thank you for staying on the concealer hunt for all of us! I’m not a fan of the Age Rewind...at all. Right now I’m enjoying the IT Bye Bye and the Neutrogena stick on my 58 year old, dry under eyes.

I'm about to turn 50, and I just tried both the Instant Age Rewind and Elf Hydrating Camo in the past couple of weeks (after hearing all about how great they are), and neither of them works for me. I've also tried Wet n Wild Incognito (good coverage and doesn't crease, but drying) and L'Oreal Age Perfect (too dewy and always creases). So I'll trust your recommendations and give them a try!

Great video Tamara… I too have such problems finding a great concealer. But…I do like that Neutrogena . Have used it for a few months now and keep going back to it . If I don’t get that concealer right I feel it just ruins whatever I have done with my eyes . Thanks for going the extra mile in trying to find the right concealer for us more mature women. It is very appreciated .

I tried Le Corrector de Chanel and absolutely love it! It does not accentuate my fine line and wrinkles or any of the other things it shouldn't. I just love your chanel and look forward to it every Sunday.

I’m 29 and can’t use the Maybelline instant age rewind, it makes me look so dry and flakey and like you I’ve tried this multiple times and can’t make it work. I love your makeup look in this video! So glowey and pretty and fresh ✨

I love Elf camo concealer for hydration and full coverage as well as Maybelline brightener.

I bought Tarte Shape Tape because so many were raving about it. It’s so drying for me and makes me look so much older. I’ll give your suggestions a try 👍

As a 28 year old, I also hate Shape Tape... It is literally the worst thing I've ever seen under my eyes. I can see how it would work for someone with no movement but holy crap!

I enjoyed this video even though I’ve given up on trying concealers. I’ve tried so many and they all go into my lines. I have hollows under my eyes. Now I just use a tinted sunscreen and put vanicream lip protectant spf over it to brighten.

Laura Mercier is my personal favorite under eye concealer but it's more on the pricier side. Can't wait to try the three top ones you picked. Thank you.

Thank YOU Cindy! Concealers are challenging. I do want to mention that since this video I have also fallen in LOVE with the New Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear concealer. Very natural looking and needs no powder. But I still LOVE the three in this video as well. ❤️

Don’t know how I missed this video last year but I LOVED IT! I have never had success with the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer and thought it was just me!!! Hi new friend to your channel. I am 43yrs old and I have been blessed with great genes from my mother who is the age as you. She looks amazing and I’ve been grateful to not had many fine lines and wrinkles but sadly back in nov 2020 I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and had to do 14 rounds of chemo and it’s totally ruined my skin and my youthful appearance so I’m on the hunt for beauty products to help me conceal those reminders of that awful medication plus my aging. I've been using the pretty fresh concealer from colour-pop. I just put the tiniest bit and it works great for me. I am an older lady like you

I just got through dumping a small acrylic drawer of undereye concealers. I kept my FIT Me concealers because at the moment, they are greatest. It is a light concealer, no cake mess.

Totally agree about Elf Camo Concealer. Great when I use it on occasion break out

I don't usually use concealer. I use lightest shade of base makeup under eye.

I'm with you Tamara, I couldnt get the Age Rewind to work on my 65 year old skin, but love the Fit Me.

I was on the hunt for a good concealer for mature skin and as you say, the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind had such great reviews that I bought it. But, like you I can't get it to look good under my eyes either. Not happy with it at all and thought, like you, that it was just me. So glad to see others are in the same boat. So, now I'm back looking for a great replacement.

Eyes…shadows…concealers…my ‘always trying to improve ‘ areas….Great video, Tamara… I just ordered the Neutrogena concealer …Hope I got the ‘20’ color right! thank you! ❤️nanny

Hi Tamara, one of my favorite topics! I'm always on the lookout👀 But I'm content for now with 2 I've used for awhile. Nars Radiant Conc.in Ginger. Also, the Effacernes Waterproof concealer by Lancome. Someone else mentioned it. You don't need powder with that one thats why I like it. I've used Kat Von D. Conc.as an eyeshadow primer. My issue has always been my olive skin tone. Very tricky to match. I can't tell you how many I've returned. I've heard good things about Kosas. Thanks again see ya next wk😉🙋‍♀️

I don’t use anything under my eyes, but highly recommend the NYX color corrector for age spots. It comes in a set of 4 colors and the orange one is amazing. Thanks for the concealer recommendations

Top of the morning! I agree about the ELF concealer for use as a general concealer. My faves are Tarte and Kosas. I bought the Kosas because of the ingredients in it as I need all the hydration I can get. The associate who was helping me at Sephora recommended the lightest color (01) for me. At first I thought it was way too light but now I see it works to brighten up the undereye area. I'm going to try the neutrogena next. Love your top and earrings...

Great review! Thank you. I may try the neutrogena. I hated the Maybelline age rewind, and I think I know why. Those of us that have the crepiness and texture don't like how it accentuates that, but it must work great for people who only have darkness and fine lines. I also use a peach color corrector first in the purple area. When I 1st bought the Maybelline fit me, I thought I was going to love it but my tube got thick very quickly. I didn't want a concealer that was so pasty. Right now I've been enjoying the Milani conceal and perfect, but I may give your suggestions a try next. The milani I have been using lately isn't the correct color for me now, so I've been using powder over it to try to help that issue. I do love the tiniest dusting of the Maybelline fit me powder over my concealer to set it.

I saw your video on the recommendations page and even though I’m ONLY 53 years of age 🥰 I was curious as I don’t wear anything on my face (just eye make up and lips) because I never learned to use foundation or concealers and never felt confident about laying on someone’s chest or hugs or my own clothes. HOWEVER, you were so engaging, well spoken, gorgeous of course, but with a beauty that doesn’t look fake, a naturally beautiful face well taken care of that I watched the whole thing even though I would probably not buy the stuff because then I fall into the rabbit hole of pursuing the perfect one. Now I’m gong to check your other videos. Oh, I loved the end… I can relate. Thank you!

Bravo, I feel the same about the Maybelline age rewind! I can’t seem to find the right color. And it goes on very thick. So I’m especially interested in seeing what I could use. I’m over 65 now. I have bags under my eyes, and the skin shows a bit of redness. Very challenging

I very much agree with you on the Maybelline Age Erase. It’s worse than useless for me. And I’ve had a very similar experience with the Fit Me. I will try the Neutrogena.

I’m glad you’re showing the concealer without the corrector in case we don’t wanna use a concealer

Wrinkles around the eyes, mouth are my worst areas. Most concealers settle down in those wrinkles, makes me crazy, even my foundation settles in the wrinkles. Powder sometimes helps, but after a while it starts to look dry and cakey. The Neutrogena one intrigued me.

That Age Rewind is definitely on the my bottom of my list! Thank you so much for mentioning my channel!! I don't know how you will film throughout the summer with no air!! Time for a quiet fan, lol.

I couldn’t get the Maybelline Age Rewind to work either! My needs are different, I need full coverage with a yellow tint. I find that you either have to pick full coverage with more wrinkles, or hydration with not enough coverage. The best for me is the J Cat Beauty in Buff. It’s the right combination of coverage and hydration for me.

Concealers are challenging! I do not like to use a setting powder under my eyes either. Even a high quality of powder with super delicate application, the powder just emphasizes my crepey skin. I have 2 of the Age Rewind, an ivory and the brightener. The brightener alone doesn’t do much, but if I combine with the ivory it is better. I tried the L’Oréal Age Perfect but for some reason it makes my eyes puffy every time I try it! Kimberly wishes the Neutrogena came in a lighter shade and I am pretty fair so will pass until they do. I think I will try the Maybelline Fit Me since they have a wide shade range. Thanks for the reviews - very helpful!

Yay-I am not the only one who cannot use the Maybelline Age Rewind or the Elf! I thought it was just me! I will need to try the Neutrogena. The one I have the best success with so far has been the Milani Conceal and Correct. Thanks Tamara!

Yay! Glad you found my channel! This video is a couple of years old. Update on the Kosas... I still enjoy the Kosas...but found that because it is "clean" with no preservaties it tends to go off within a year or so of opening. I try SO many concealers I just can't use it up fast enough, so if I buy it again I will purchase a mini. I do have a more recent roundup which I will link here. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k5yumc-qaNq9ZdY.htmlsi=Hs7gBxasT1A8Rh75 My current favorite concealers that I am rotating through are Lancome Teinte Idol Ultra Long Wear Concealer in the shade 215 Buff, the Tower 28 shade ktown, Natasha Denona shade 4N (both of those shades are atad deep for me in the winter but perfect for summer). The Concealer I am wearing the most right now is the Physician's Formula Butter Glow Concealer shade Lt/Med...It lives in my purse! Hope this helps!

My current favorite concealer is by Rituel de Fille. Yes, it’s is pricey but the tiniest bit goes a long way. (I’ve had it over 3 months and barely made a dent). It’s creamy, blends beautifully, and clean ingredients. I’m 49 years old with some under eye darkness, fine lines and dryness. I purchased mine from Amazon after watching many reviews, and ended up loving it. Another one that’s really good is by First Aid Beauty. It’s lightweight, creamy and blends beautifully.

I know you found two great concealer but I just thought I would mention another one that might work for you. It’s my holy grail. It’s the Glossier Stretch concealer. It’s medium coverage and very emollient. Great video. Thanks so much!

So true and also irritating. I’m 50 yrs old. When I was 35 I barely had any wrinkles compared to now! I can’t use any of the makeup I wore at 35 or I would look 100! 😂

I'm in my mid-40's and while everyone I know absolutely loves the e.l.f. camo concealers (particularly the hydrating one) they just do not work for me! Like you, I've been feeling a little bit crazy because everyone else seems to love them so much. I agree that it works fine on my face (though I have other formulas that I think work better to address my discoloration issues - I'm very fair with rosacea) but it looks TERRIBLE under my eyes. So thanks for making me feel like I'm not crazy or alone in not loving it! It's true though - everyone's skin and needs and tastes are so different, it's hard to have something that works universally for everyone. One of my favorites is the Flower Beauty Light Illusion concealer. It does have great coverage but the formula is so lightweight and blendable and it doesn't seem to sink into my fine lines or creases at all. I just think it looks lovely on the skin and has that satin finish you were speaking about - not super matte, not super glowy, it just looks beautiful. You might want to check it out. I agree I cannot use Maybelline age rewind or Elf camo. I'm using elf camo for the lid and it works nicely. I am loving Charlotte Tilbury corrector with Bare Minerals mineral concealer with Pat McGrath under eye powder and the combo of the 3 of them is working well. For your viewers I am 60. The ELF one was too much for me too. The new Thrive Causemetics concealer is supposed to be as good as the Kosas. I want to try both.

I recently bought a mini nars radiant creamy concealer and it works pretty good. I’m gonna give that neutrogena a try I’ve watched Kimberley rave about it lately. Thanks for sharing❤️

Hi honey! Good idea on full coverage foundation as concealer...now that you mention it back in the day when I used Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation I didn’t even use a concealer...hmm. Happy Sunday to you beautiful Mave. 😘💕❤️

I’m one who doesn’t like the Maybelline concealers but I do use the brightener that is a little pink on my eyelids as they are very dark. It helps with my eye shadow looking decent. Using the concealer under my eyes doesn’t work at all. My skin is just too dry. I will be trying the Neutrogena. Thank you for this video.

Hi Tamara I just prefilmed my top 5 concealer video last year and I can assure you the Maybelline instant age rewind is not there. I used to like it But is not a holy grail. So I agree with you and Lisa Monique. What an adventure wirh getting the Kosas concealer. I hate yellow ones.By the way you look gorgeous today !💕

I have a concealer that was recommended by emily Noel a few years back I believe. I have an almost concealer in the shade 100 , light or fair shade, and it’s the same shade as the neutrogena concealer hydro boost !! The difference is e hydra boost is more moisturizing but they’re both good and last very well, on me at least

I love the Kosas concealer and bought it (and reviewed it) when it first came out. Like you, I found it far too yellow. Then, several months ago they came out with non-yellow shades and I bought another. Sadly - I find my skin tone lies in the middle of their offerings - so while the undertone is great now - it's a tad too light. But it's really lovely and I find the Clinique Even Better is very similar (and has more shades to choose from)!

Last year I really hated the Age Rewind and thought it was terrible. Then I thought I’d try it again. I think I had put too much on. Now I dab the applicator on the back of my hand and apply very little with a brush. I let it dry down for a few seconds then tap to blend. It’s one of the few concealers I’ve tried that can smooth out the hollows under my eyes. I also like Maybelline’s Fit Me and Superstay concealers. I like the price of the ELF but not sure I like the product! Still trying to find my holy grail. I haven’t tried the Kosas but I think it’s just too yellow for me. Amanda Z has a great channel for dry skin. She’s such a natural beauty. I’ve given up trying to completely cover dark circles. Mine are REALLY dark, no matter what I use: color corrector…full coverage concealer, they still show through. My goal now is to just decrease their impact and brighten the under eye and inner corner. Last year I also tried the Neutregena Hydroboost and thought it was too cakey. Maybe I just put too much on again trying to completely cover my dark circles. Since both you and Kimberly highly recommend it, I’m gonna give it another go!

I like the IT bye bye and the maybelline pro concealer corrector in medium. The yellow counteracts the discoloration. No caking problem.

I love your videos, I am new to your channel! I have a hard time finding a concealer I like that matches and covers without looking too heavy. I recently tried Tarte creaseless concealer and really like it. I am going to try the Neutrogena hydro boost you showed, looks great on you!

Tarte creaseless concealer is the best and I've tried at least 50 concealers in my life none of them work as good as Tarte.

I just stumbled on your video. Great review of concealers... I might give the Kosas a try. What I really wanted to say, though, is that I love that you include bloopers!!

I’ve given up on the Maybelline Age Rewind! I too have tried it in every color and using it in combination with others and it’s just a huge fail. I need more coverage and mature eyes need LESS products, not layering more so it better be opaque from the get go. You’re beautiful btw, no matter your age, simply lovely.

There is lies the challenge for sure… for me a peach color corrector has been the biggest game changer of all. Sometimes I don’t even use a concealer over it at all. But a super light layer of concealer looks nice over a corrector too. ❤️
