Single best movie soundtrack of all time, the first 15-20 minutes of the movie is basically an opera. Little dialogue, just reaction and music. This film does not get enough credit for how amazing it was put together, filmed, written and acted. Oddly enough being one of Arnold's first movie roles, it ended up being one of his best.

This is one of many movies that my Dad secretly took me to. I remember siting there with him when Arnold first came on the screen, and we both looked at each other and made the F*CK YEAH face! All my friends were jealous when I told them my Dad took me to see this. He took me to see Heavy Metal when it came out and he said, you REALLY can't tell anyone that I took you to see this! The old man took me to see Friday the 13th and First Blood, he loved these kind of movies until the day he checked out! I saw so many of these types of movies with him and I never said a word to my Mom! RIP POP!

My Mom took me to see Stir Crazy in the theatre, I was 8 and the stripper club scene had my mouth agape, my eyes slowly drifted over to see my Mom's reaction. She said and did nothing. @@jdub8766 I think I was 11 or 12. I can't remember when it came out. He didn't worry too much about language or even nudity, he thought you're gonna see it at some point. He didn't want me to swear around everybody because my Mom didn't like that, he was pretty lax because he cussed all the time too. He just made sure that I knew the difference between a movie, and reality. I think many people have lost the plot on those lines.

The amount of "non" actors in that movie is insane, yet they were all perfect for their roles. I also love how most time, there is nothing said, just action and that incredible music. You don't always need words to advance the story. The village attack at the beginning is the best intro in Cinema's history in my opinion. It's pure perfection and I don't think they even say 1 word!

What an awesome documentary on a criminally under appreciated film, what makes it even better is that all the people who were involved in it's production seem to hold the experience in an extremely high regard. Conan the Barbarian is still to this day the most gritty and believable presentation of a mythical bygone age ever committed to film. The casting is perfect, the tone and direction are spot on and with all the beautiful locations, great practical effects and stuntwork, amazing sets and fantastic production values, the whole experience is so immersive you can practically smell the environment presented on screen - then there is the *Legendary* score by Basil Poledouris which just takes the whole ensemble to another level of epic. This film is a true masterpiece and John Milius was right when he said to Arnold 'Pain is temporary but this film is forever'. It's just a shame Milius never got another shot at the franchise, his passion for it is clear to see.

One of the greatest cinematic events of all time. I know when this came out the buzz on the street (hearing now that Oliver Stone planned a whole bunch of them) was three movies, Conan the Barbarian, Destroyer and Conqueror with Arnold as the lead. The dramatic shift in direction with Destroyer derailed the whole damn thing, and it's truly sad because these films could've been bigger than the MCU and Star Wars combined had they been realized. I mean this was Game of Thrones before it was a thing! The cast was perfect, the script was amazing and they made this movie totally believable. This movie can never be remade with the same success, and now it's too late to fix Destroyer, but they could always make Conqueror.

This movie is extremely well done and respectful to the source material while being an original story. Truly epic and enjoyable, with characters that act like people instead of whatever a**hole you usually have in movies these days. And Basil’s score doubles the energy and power of each scene. Feels like the godfather of how well done fantasy/medieval/period movies should be done

This is amazing, and I somehow just stumbled across this Doc. CTB had such a gritty, visceral feel, something totally lost on present day film. Score, costumes, characters, imagery…all top-notch. There is no substitution for genuine authenticity, and the conviction these people undertook is why the film is one of a kind. I will forever be a fan.

This was one of the best movies in history and was very under rated. Great score, great story, great acting and directing. I really wish Arnold would finish this series with the last Conan as a king. This movie inspired me to work out as a teenager and ultimately become a Cop. I’m retired now I would like to see the conclusion of this saga.

I remember when this movie first came out, my dad took us to this movie in Flagstaff AZ at the old Green Tree Three theaters near NAU. I remember that night it was completely sold out and we were all quietly standing in line and my little sister had walked up to the ticket man and said something to him. She came and said our mother. "Mom are we going to watch CONAN THE LIBRARIAN all the people heard her because it was so quiet hahaha 😅 we still tease her up to this day. So funny and cute. 😂 hahaha I love this movie, I bought it on cassette and then DVD and I do have it here on KZread so I can download it anytime I want. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the most awesome best actor for this movie. MAY THE GREAT SPIRIT BE WITH YOU ALL ALWAYS
