Watching "Ghost in the Shell" for the first time back in 2009 was mind opening!! Literally it change my life. It shaped my taste in movies, video games, manga/comics, and probably every other aspect of my life. That and "The Matrix" trilogy.

+Decetop - "ghost" is kind of a euphimism for a living consciousness or "spirit"; part of the plot is that human consciousness can be put inside cyber (machine) brains and bodies. If you like sci-fi and action you will probably like it.

The commenters above are just having you on. It's really a ecchi anime about a talking cyborg puppet who possesses people and makes them take their clothes off. You got to see the result of that in one of the scenes. It may seem a little weird, but it's a great dramatic comedy. That's why it has such high scores on MyAnimeList. Just wait until you see the plot twist in episode 18! If you're into that genre, you'll love it.

I have no real interest in either Ghost In The Shell or Blood: The Fuckening or whatever it was called, but I would honestly be tempted to buy DVDs of both if there was an extra audio track of Andy and Conan dubbing their stream of consciousness bullshit over the top.
