that was their most memorable experience. I think I do that with my old friends too. "Hey, remember when we both forgot to pay the restaurant and just left?" That was my most memorable experience with one of my old friends when we both assumed one of us paid for the food, and just left without actually paying. We always mentioned that whenever we see each other.

During one of so many interviews, a reporter constantly compared Minari to a Korean film Parasite. Steven corrected the reporter by saying that Minari is an American story and an American film, not a Korean film. There are so many unique and beautiful stories of immigrants in this country and they ARE American stories, our heritage. Thank God for the arts for its nature and purpose to beautifully portray American stories through various mediums such as film!

Someone else also tried to compare parasite with Minari, it seemed like he went in to watch minari, with the expectation of what he felt when he watched Parasite. I was like, why? Even the genres seem so different. Parasite, was like a comedy/ thriller set in Korea. Minari seems more like a indie film, based on a Korean American family and capturing the bits of their lives as immigrants in the US. I guess some people think because there is Korean speaking in both, that parasite and Minari will be similar...

The romanization on his last name is interesting and tripped me up too, since in modern romanization "eu" is a specific pronunciation and with modern romanization they would have spelled the last name as "Yeon". I guess they trying for Ye-un not Y-eu-n, although "Yun" would let us silly westerners pronounced it much more closely.

I really like what Conan's been doing with this format. Since there's isn't really an audience, neither of them (and especially Conan) feels the need to talk and make jokes to the audience, so it's more similar to an interview. There's space to go deep or wide in topics, while there's still an air of levity because it's a theater stage, and the crew and Andy are around, so Conan can still use his humour

I wish all interviews were like this: switching between the deepest, darkest seriousness to the most incredibly absurd with no background noise whatsoever.

Steven Yuen did a great job Tailoring the rolls that he took on through out the years. Hindsight, you can tell from season one walking dead Steven and season seven Steven. A lot of actors get stuck in type cast or do a bunch of random rolls because the actor wants to pick up work.
