I think people have the wrong idea. Conan isn’t the best host because of his comedy or his sketches, (though both of which are top tier) he’s the best because of how genuine he is. He’s so human. He experiences burnout and sadness and frustration just like everyone else, and he isn’t afraid of people knowing it.

Seeing Conan so raw and vulnerable is both heartbreaking and aspirational. It’s never been about the money or status with him. It’s always been about the joy he gets in front of an audience and the joy the audience gets from him. He also surrounded himself with really good people that understood him and got him through that period; Sona, Sweeney, Blay, Ross, Andy and many others. Bless Liza too, she’s amazing. Much love to Team Coco. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

Always loved Conan, but the older I get the more I realize how toxic media culture was back then (90s-2000s specifically), and the more I have a newfound appreciation for Conan. 💗 I first realized it when I started noticing that he makes everyone seem so comfortable, even the most notoriously awkward and uncomfortable people (like Kristen Stewart for example). And how different some of his older interviews seem when compared against some of the other late night show host’s interviews (Letterman forcing girls to kiss him first comes to mind, and many of the rest asking super gross or intrusive “gotcha” questions and making super demeaning jokes about women.) Conan seems like a truly great man and this gave me an even better behind-the-scenes view of it. You can also tell that keeping his team employed was weighing really heavily on him. Hope to see him doing some more great stuff again in the near future 💗

36:50 Jeff Ross is so good at his job. He seems how exhausted Conan is, and how worried he is about that fact and comes in with the perfectone word reassurance on the spot.

100% dope AF & the film that caused me to experience envy for another man's talent & drive for the 1st time ever. Conan is the man, and we're lucky to have him.

Third time watching this and I must say, as a documentary, this is superb. Makers did a great job telling the story through just shots (e.g. the cookie gift being broken after all the people came in and out). All the small little moments they captured. Great combination of a fascinating subject and thoughtful film making
