He made fun of both men simultaneously. Milt probably was one of the most stand up guys to run in decades, but he wasn't politically viable, neither was Obama, but he ran against Mitt.

Everything Conan does, is FIRE. In the beginning, you can see some people not enjoying themselves, but by mid-point, he won the crowd and never let them go. Straight FIRE !

"You can't hurt me." He's such a remarkable showman. This event always has such uppity crowds, and he simply can NOT be embarrassed or second-guess what he says. He's like the Orson Welles of comedy.

Yea, no Joel McHale bombed. He didn't measure his audience correctly and he downplayed his edginess. The audience can be awful but as a comedian you're the one who's supposed to be able to do a better job of reading them. It was similar to watching Seth Macfarlane at the Oscars. He was too edgy for such an audience and not edgy enough for those who regularly follow him. Conan was FAR better.
