I youtubed a guitar cover for this song for the first time today thinking I was gonna be blasted by a bunch of video's that have been out for years with 10's of thousands of views, but instead I've been humbled by a video that was only released a few weeks ago with a couple of hundred views. I'm extremely impressed and you deserve success for this amazing cover.

In The Mirror is kinda like Quiet And Falling BUT it is far more tense, has quite a dark atmosphere to it, and rather than outright fear is just a heavy persisting dread. Plus the drums go WILD at parts in that song! Anxiety on the other hand is short and sweet, but INTENSE and VERY fearful. Lena Raine said that she made that song as an expression of her anxiety/panic attacks, and to me it captures the feelings perfectly. ((Plus if you'd like it to be a longer cover, Anxiety/Track 10 begins and ends as Madeline's theme, so you could cover Madeline's theme, have Anxiety come in at some point, then finish off with the end of her theme again!)) I love both Anxiety and In The Mirror and would IMPLODE with joy if you covered them ((I put faith in you to do so as you nailed the vibes of S&L and Resurrections imo))

Hey, I'm not sure if you're still taking requests. I've seen your Risk of Rain and LISA covers and I absolutely adore them, so, I wanted to perhaps ask if you'd be willing to do a cover of a fanmade track called 'Shatter Fist Broken Muscle' from LISA: The Unbreakable perhaps? Again, I really adore your work. Shine on, Crazy Diamond.

this is amazing, did you make it all by ear or did you use tabs?

Hi, it's a mixture of by ear (especially the solo bit) and a musescore piano sheet music I found (especially for the opening chords). I do have the tab written down since I couldn't commit it all the memory though, which I can post if people want it. Thanks for the kind words too!

Can I ask which VST did you use to get that synth-esque sound? I'm trying to cover this song as well and for the life of me I can't get that particular tone.
@JimmyMcGinger
Жыл бұрын
Sure, so I did a big breakdown of most of the sounds I use in a response to a comment from “bigmayoman” which you can probably scroll down and find. If I don’t go into that particular sound, just give me a time stamp and I will happily explain the settings. I just use Pod Farm (I know, it’s super basic haha) but if I break down what I did I’m sure you can get it from pretty much any amp sim.
just wanted to ask, at around 3:00, are you playing a bar chord on 8th fret D, G, B? (then playing D G D B, then 10th on the A string?) the tabs are a bit inaccurate so I'm relying on my ear so far
@JimmyMcGinger

Hi, i've corrected that bit to make it more clear. there's no chord in the melody just single notes. But besides that what you said it correct.

Hi, it's all there (if a little messy). If you mean the bit that says "improv" (because I couldn't play that fast bit in the actual song) just look slightly below and you'll see what I settled on playing in the end. But if you give me a timestamp, I'll double check whichever bit of the tab, but I just followed along with it and it seems fine.

Effects are a Chorus (Expo Chorus Stereo (FX-4), speed is turned 0.70 Hz, depth is between 8-9 o clock (so not very high), mix is 9-10 o o clock, Feeback is at 1 o clock (so just over half), predelay is at nothing (so like 6-7 o clock). Reverb is Brite Room: predelay 100% decay 81%, Tone 100%, mix is at 2 o clock (so 8 out of 11).
