me too brother ,me too... I will do it for masters
When I read Comp Sci it was a very new subject, only existed as a part II, but was an amazing experience. MV Wilkes and Martin Richards were still lecturing, and minicomputers were just getting to be really useful. I went on and in the end specialised in embedded software. I've worked on digital television, avionics and I'm currently writing the software for a satellite. What the course gave me was a mental toolkit that has let me analyse any sort of problem quickly and easily. I actually used Turing's idea of an infinite state machine to nail down a problem with digital TV studio equipment.
Nice to see a brother 1:03 studying at Cambridge!
Looking forward to doing this hopefully
Our school just found out that we do not have to do 3 optional books for Further Maths the A*A*A dream just came alive!!
I'm doing my GCSE Exams next year - as evident by this comment, I'm very eager to get started with this university stuff quite early; I think A*A*A should be achievable in A-Levels, going to Cambridge would be a dream!

Same, I'd love to get into Cambridge. How'd your mocks go????
What r the steps to get into comp sci at Cambridge (by steps i mean interviews)
Thank you so much
Also i know the course requirements state you do not need any prior coding experience or something along those lines, but where do i learn to code at an affordable price over the upcoming holidays. I plan to learn coding (somehow) regardless of whether its recommended or not i want to dive further into to what coding is built around and acquire these skills as quickly as possible ( as unfortunately my school do not do CS). Any sites or references would be greatly appreciated.

There are many great websites with the purpose of teaching oneself how to code. Such as Codeacademy and Uacademy. Regardless, these websites merely are resources to teach how to use the tools of a coding language. You must also develop a sense of critical thinking to tackle challenges in code. Anywho, best wishes.

If you want to learn programming, Codecademy is a great place to start. I recommend doing their Python course: www.codecademy.com/learn/learn-python. I believe they have a paid course too, but I've tried the free course and it's pretty good.

C++ primer plus by Stephen Prata is a really good book to learn programming. No prior programming knowledge is assumed. You can buy it on Amazon.

Anyone interested in this should watch Jake Wright's vlogs.
I will study so hard and get good marks, and then in 2023 or 2024, I will join Computer Science. Also, my computer marks are always A+ it has never been lower in my entire life.

Anyone can get grades with work. The harder part you should focus on is further maths and logical problems. Do UKMT questions. CSAT will be similar and they'll test your thinking at the interview. Thinking isn't easily taught or naturally abundant.
CAN I TAKE ADMISSION IN CAMBRIDGE AS AN UNDERGRADUATE ??????
I thought I commented on here just now…
