Perfect! Schools today like to pretend they're all about teaching technology but really all they're doing is creating end-users, loyal consumers, out of young children (and teachers alike) for tech giants. This was exactly what I was looking for for my kiddos. You have a natural ability to 'teach' and I SO appreciate the follow up to the viewers' questions. By far, the best introductory videos on here.

I use this video with my Middle School and Intro to Tech class for high schoolers. I find it a very good, easy to understand explanation of the hardware in a computer. One of the things I usually add is that in the analogy in the library of the desk and the stacks, you (the person moving the information and doing stuff with it) are like the processor (and your arms are the cache), the books and "stuff" (notebook, pens, etc.) are the programs. I hope you don't mind my expansion of your anology! =)

Now it's much easier for me to explain the role of RAM Memory to other people (..or simply I will recommend your videos). However, i found one day a way to explain to someone how Hyperthreading works... comparing with a child that was eating from a jar full of candies with one hand (while his mouth was the cpu) and then eating with 2 hands (much faster). :D

There were a few questions about the CPU and how it's measured. The CPU is measured in Hertz which is the clock rate. Basically, it's the frequency of how many instructions it can carry out in a given time. The faster the clock rate, the faster it can cycle through and execute the instructions.
