Took the exam a few days ago, most of the questions look very similar to the ones I had. Be sure to have a good understand on cloud computing, virtualization and raid. I got a fair amount of questions on those.

I highly recommend getting the Professor Messer practice exams. You'll be asked questions in the same format and difficulty you will see on the actual test. Not only that, but he explains the right answers and wrong answers

For anyone who has actually looked at the exam objectives for 1101, these are a mix of 1101 and 1102. Great job on the questions but these are way too easy and send mixed messages on what is actually on the test

@@zikijackson7408 they do have prompt commands. My questions were based on DNS prompt commands and even had a click and drag question for it as well. Do not be deceived, this test has 100's of different questions to pull from for the test and nobody will be getting the same questions. Unfortunately, the amount of info to go through is quite large and it shouldn't be taken lightly if you have no I.T. experience. I didn't pass the first go around on the first exam (got a 622 and needed a 675 too pass) missed by 4ish questions and had around 150 hours of studying/watching COMPTIA and professor messor videos. MAKE SURE TO KNOW WHAT TYPES OF QUESTIONS WILL BE ON THE TEST BEFORE TAKING IT!!!

a question only becomes hard.. if you dont know the answer .... the format and subject matter in this video are spot on ..in reference to the test format... there are 1000's of questions that could be asked.

When I took the exam all I got were questions about setting up networks, printers, and how to connect certain wires.

This was very helpful and supplements the Sybex material I have been using; thanks !

Yeah, the repeating questions weren't great....this won't happen in the actual exam though...If you have access to platforms like CBT Nuggets or Pluralsight they do offer practice exams with their courses....in terms of "free" this is as good as it gets

This practice test was pretty easy. I'm using it more so to brush up on things. It would be much appreciated if you did examples of the performance based questions on the test. Those are worth the most points and can be life or death on the test. Thanks for all the videos though!

heres a warning, nothing in this video will ever help you in day to day life, you're going to have a user saying a button is missing on their ERP software. you'll sit with them for 30 minutes on the phone troubleshooting, have to drive on-site to walk to their desk and see a post-it note covering a button on the corner. end users are fucking stupid

Questions 42 to 48 are repeats and the AI voice repeats itself multiple times. Also, I haven't taken the exam yet, but as others pointed out, the command line questions are for Core 2.

Would you be able to give any examples of the simulations for the exam. How to create a secure network? Creating the cables? And the printer simulation? I took the exam and those were pretty difficult considering there was no real directions for them.

I had printer stimulation and it was so confusing on practice stimulation I had nothing similar to it

A lot of this is still relevant to the last version.

Some of these questions repeat, you need to double check and update this quiz. Thank you for the free practice exam.

Just to add: there are several questions that are repeated. My guess it is to pass the length of the video. Decent but very simple questions.

The way the exam is structured is kinda the same. Am an Aplus facilitator, and one thing i have realized is that i usually take about 30 learners to write the exam, all learners seem to have written a different exam. There is a possibility of getting the smoother side of the exam, and also the rough side too

@@jayson3466 Yes, I took it once and passed in early March (I think) and while I don't remember which question from this video spurred my comment I will say it wasn't that difficult of a test. Some questions were super basic and obvious while others were more complicated, at least the way they were worded. All of the concepts are simple but the wording and what "they/CompTIA" want you to say take some extra thought. Getting ready to take the Core 2 exam now. Probably by this weekend.

These are good for motivational/warm up practice but they are too easy for the most part.

referring to question 20 on the phone tethering ability, what if their phone doesnt have those features, factors include lack of a feature or its not a feature in their phone carrier.

This is a mix of Core 1 and 2 questions....

I cannot be the only one who notices that the questions start to repeat at a certain point. Questions asked near the beginning are being repeated.

If the comptia exam is easy as the same questions as this, no doubt that i will pass the exam. The 1101 exam is harder

If you plan on taking this test it’s about 60% common sense and 40% being a walking fucking text book for printers.

It seems like a lot of the questions on the last half of this video are more 1102 questions rather than 1101

This is basic . But it can help. 75% you can pass the exam if you can answer all of this question

I got about 1/2 without studying so I'm looking forward to actually studying. Havimg said that, this format is painful. Nothing is worse than answering questions, being told it's wrong, being lectured about it, and then having to do the next one. It's like dying in Dark Souls, except you have to reopen the game and reload at the levels spawn point every time you die. Also, a few of the questions get cut off and don't show the "logic" in the 1st half.

I've never studied....just been messing around with computers since AOL and smoking a lot of green.....I'm shocked that I knew almost every answer....I should've gotten into the tech field instead of getting into a trade.

useful but a bunch were repeated the ones i can think of off the top of my head 46-48 and 38-40

No because a managed switch is just a fancier switch that you can configure (like setting up vlans) but still may only operate at the layer 2 of the OSI model meaning it cant route traffic.

@@lilconch if a device can route then it technically is a router. A "router" device is just a more sophisticated layer 3 switch that has more abilities. Managed switches still only operate at the data link layer (layer 2) therefore cannot route packets on the network layer (layer 3).

Error in reading question 44. 33:19 The reader says unable, but the writing says able. It got me a bit confused.

All of the command prompt questions are 1102, not 1101.

On number 56, I believe that the correct answer is spoofing, not phishing. Spoofing involves a malicious user creating a malicious website for example, but the user makes an effort to make the malicious site identical to the actual website to trick a user to give confidential information. Phishing is like when you get a message saying your amazon account password needs to be changed, and there is a funny looking URL attached. Correct me if I’m wrong. Perhaps the question involves both phishing AND spoofing?

Well, because he opened the email with a faulty link, it's phishing, but you are right about the website being an example of spoofing. Maybe if the author nailed down which part of the question he was referring to, it would have made it a bit clearer.

@@dariuspeterson1177 Yes agreed but I think from my experience with other CompTIA test questions sites, they (CompTIA) can be a bit tricky in wording. Hence I really have liked the answer explanation on these type of tricky questions.

I'm considering taking the Core 1 exam soon and this makes me feel confident. However, I'm a little confused as I thought each core exam has 90 not 60 questions? How come this only shows 60?

Because the performance based questions eat up more points and time. It says 90 but a few people in my class got 70 questions because those eat up a lot of points. Definitely study the pbqs they can mean life or death on the test I've heard. Best of luck!
