    You are a good honest man. I just had a tech to check my system. And he didn’t find anything wrong with it but he tried to sell a new system for 7,500 when all I did was replace the run capacitor. Unfortunately there are a lot of thieves out there. I fix with a 15 part.

    Yes there is. Capacitors and contractors are easy to fix. Everything else you’ll need a tech to get parts. Also you can buy a fan if it’s burned out. You’ll have to buy tools probably around 300-400 dollars

    4:17 #1 check winding continuity before putting the fan back on.....and NEVER use an impact gun, that's NOT what they're for.

    On your compressor, measurement to ground is good to check, but what about winding to winding? Do you check that?

    I've been having AC issues for nearly 2 weeks now and I've had 2 techs from the same outfit come out and the last one tried snowballing me that my compressor was on it's last leg. I'm about 85% empath and I can read people's body language and speech so I just "know" when I'm being fed a line of BS. Luckily I have a great cousin who works in R and D for Intertherm and he's coming out here tomorrow, we'll see what he says.

    I’d say look into your loss of refrigerant before replacing compressor, low oil can cause overload and lead to failure too. Also, superheat didn’t look right to me so you may want to check out that txv

    I thought you just had to look at the subcool for a txv! Sorry I’m new at the trade so I might be wrong.

  • @realSamAndrew

    @realSamAndrew

    @@angelrodriguez6427 you use subcool for proper charge level on a TXV, but you still have to have normal superheat. If not, there may be a problem with the TXV or elsewhere in the system, even if you know your charge is good.

    Yes because he was testing to ground. Thermal overload breaks common to round and start to run

    Any thoughts on my unit tripping breaker 3 to 4 times in a day on 95 degree days? Unit still has original capacitor.

  • @AngelHVACR

    Check max breaker size on unit ñame plate and check breaker size and fuses size make sure all our capatible if it trips as soon as unit turns on then its grounded compressor and if not then probably a bad breaker or loose wiring

    Go to KZread and check out Packard Capacitor Training video. Heat or elevated voltage kills capacitors. You can wire 2 Capacitors in parallel for better heat dissipation.

    But you didn't find the leak though, aren't you supposed to find the leak and seal it?

  • @sneezeguard117

    @sneezeguard117

    Most leaks are near the evaporator coil and at that point most people just replace the coil but it’s cheaper in short run for people to just add a little refrigerant each season
