Comprehensive Refugee Responses - Uganda

The New York Declaration lays out a vision for a more predictable and more comprehensive response to these crises, known as the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework, or CRRF. It calls for greater support to refugees and the countries that host them.
In the last three years over one million refugees have fled to Uganda, making it the third largest refugee-hosting country in the world . The Government of Uganda has been very progressive in its response to these challenges and in March 2017, launched the CRRF process in Uganda by issuing a declaration reaffirming Uganda’s commitment to promote refugee self-reliance and inclusion in the country's development planning. Within the water supply UNHCR has been working with national authorities to include refugees into national water supply systems.
