Thank you for trying all the things for us so we can pick a subscription that suits us best. I have started quilting again after like 7 year's. I used to subscribe to the fat quarter shop box, but for me I kept getting stuff I didn't like and it was not always a quilt box and it disappointed me. So now thanks to your video I have better options. I saw a couple that sparked my interest.

Comprehensive is right. So glad to have found this. I watched it twice! I even ended up subscribing to the Cotton Cuts puzzle quilt BOM because it looked like so much fun. I also have been doing the sew sampler from Fat Quarter shop for over a year now. Also they have lots of other clubs. To solve the problem that most of these kits do not have backgrounds, I did a couple things. First I subscribed to FQ Shop’s low volume FQ club and gots lots of low volume FQs to use for scrappy backgrounds. I also bought a bolt of off white fabric when it went on sale! No more scrambling for BG fabrics when I want to start a project.

those are great solutions. Not having everything you need with some of the subscription boxes does make it a challenge. I now do a Mystery Quilt that is not a subscription, but it does provide all the fabric needed (including background and backing!).

Great idea to have them all together to compare. I get the sewer’s club project box because they are in Canada amNd I can afford the shipping. Unfortunately for most of the others they don’t ship to Canada or the shipping is as much or more than the box! That is why I love channels like yours where I can enjoy your boxes!

@SoftSquares idk lol I like collect things it might be bad I use to do make up boxes and buy the yearly subscriptions and I did have alot stuff I never used but I had fun opening them, I've watched your video twice I definitely have open gates, I've tried cotton cuts I'm not fan of them even tho I love there stuff. That creative notions 100% will probably subscribe to next

Notion is a term that is used in the quilting sewing world. It sums up a lot of things needed to sew. Mainly tools like scissors, ruler, pins, thimble, cutting mat, rotary cutter and more. I hope this helps.

@@SoftSquares I did make the October placemats for a friends birthday however if I didn’t know how to fix the warped strips then it would not have looked good at all. The backing fabric was very thin and cut too small as well. I hoped for quality but the two I’ve received have been disappointing and to cancel she will charge a $40 fee which is so wrong.

I was really looking forward to this breakdown of subscription boxes. The problem is that you keep going away from your microphone so you cannot be heard or understood. I have to keep increasing my sound and even then I hear what sounds like muttering. I will look for anyone else doing these comparisons. A shame.

You’re speaking so quickly as well as crinkling packaging plus speaking away from your microphone, it’s very difficult to concentrate on the content
