Музыка

Learn how surprisingly simple it can be to make music with a little bit of practice, courage, and technology. You don't need to be a music prodigy to be able to understand what it takes to compose music. I will walk you through different genres of music with my insights as a composer in the film, game and songwriting community.
On this episode, I will demonstrate how to create a film Comedy track, that was used in the short film "Dead Tired." Link to the movie here: • Dead Tired

Great tutorial! I agree it'd be nice to know your reasoning behind key, chord, layering/patterning. Perhaps you could provide that via text overlay of the video, or in the comments section. That would allow you to keep the open space pacing of the process without too much chit-chat as you managed here. Great ideas for layering instruments and parts with short simple patterns. Love it. Would like to see you go through this process to show how to compose a comedy track TO PICTURE, as scoring to film adds quite a bit more complexity to the process of composing. But overall, great job. I totally enjoyed learning from you. Well produced, good quality, straightforward teaching, with good visuals. Loved being able to watch your fingers play in each part! Bravo.

I know that's probably a lot but, there are song sessions that are finished and some that are not! There is paperwork to keep track of. Libraries to keep track of and templates to keep track of - etc. How do you do it? What are your strategies for keeping track of all of this?

Most orchestral sample libraries offer very good pizzicato strings, even stock libraries that come with your DAW. Logic, Cubase, Ableton, Fruityloops all come with pretty convincing pizzicatos. For an upgraded sound, there are a lot you can find out there including EWQL Symphonic Orchestra, Cinesamples Strings, Spitfire Symphonic strings or Spitfire Chamber Strings.
