@Prospect Imo it's better solo, like for example the boss is constantly trying to counter you when you try healing and if you outplay him it feels so fucking good.
@bootnoot8696
Жыл бұрын
@@-Aniki- the bosses can force you into situations where you cannot “outplay” it at most ranges, regardless of what you do, since they can pretty easily overlap animations to guarantee hits. The only way this boss becomes not rng is if you’re using magic or taking aaaages locking them behind pillars. Also for anybody who doesn’t know this by now, you can put the apostles to sleep with like four sleep status arrows from a very weak bow. They stay asleep for ages and you can just kill one at a time. Won’t stop the fight from being a repeat of enemies you’ve likely fought two to three times each at that point in the game, but hey, that’s Elden ring.

@@bootnoot8696 I thought the solo fight was the one being referred to, not the duo, yeah the duo is a bit frustrating. I just meant the solo fight under the Radahn tower which i felt like was the most memorable one, for me at least going in there felt like i was very underleved, i was getting two shooted by him most of the time lol. This was the first boss that actually kinda terrified me because of the arena's design, his design, the music and idk, the dance of the fight really clicked with me, it took like 30 attempts but damn was it fun.

@@AtlasBenighted Elden Ring has a lot of ambient tracks for the open world and legacy dungeons so there is quite a bit of relaxing songs in the soundtrack as well. Limgrave, Altus Plateau, and Leyndell are some of my favorite relaxing ones, and then there are even creepy and unnerving tracks like Prison Town or Caelid. Radahn ost and Fortissax ost are the best in my opinion. But it seems people are too overleveled when fight Fortissax that the ost doesn't last too much
This song catches a lot of people off guard because of how much music they get more a little of all encounters then suddenly this absolute banger emerges out at them in a memorable way. Most people get the song stuck in their head or reference it. Honestly, it's a perfect song for the energy and vibes of the fight. Admittedly, it's one of the more in the zone kind of songs that sounds a bit like a movie scene moment. Probably sounds like I mean it's out of place from other things you listen to, but really they fit it in just fine where it happens. It's still one of my favorite fights.
The second phase on this song is honestly without a doubt one of my favorite ost from the game. Idk something about it hits me differently then the rest of the game

Let’s gooooooo dude, this ost is bone chilling
Ah, the Godskin apostle with their scorching black flames, the music makes it hard to focus on the fight because of how good it is!
The especially intense beauty of this song is coupled with the fact that it's the most choir heavy in the game. The majority of pieces are more comprised of orchestra and band. A fair few still have choir, but not to the degree of Godskin Apostles. It makes for a very interesting feel. Elden Ring has a hefty chunk of Bloodborne influence, but as well as a gargantuan portion of Dark Souls influence. Yet Elden Ring also has it's own third... feeling? Tone? There's 2/9 Bloodborne, 3/9 Dark Souls, but also 4/9... something... to the overall tone of the game. There's certainly a lot of folklore inspiration, too, as well as a certain telltale George R.R. Martin feel. And it all mixes perfectly, right down to the soundtrack. A lot of the soundtrack is just... remarkable. As for my own thoughts on the game itself? I just wish the gameplay was a bit better balanced, and that there were more NPCs. Elden Ring is a beautiful game, but with the sheer scale, it sometimes feels pretty empty, and it can be hard to really adjust enemy scale a bit. How much is too much or too little when the player could just bum rush main story stuff or trivialize the main dungeons by doing all of the optional content first? I've had thoughts reflecting on that for a while, and the best I can come up with for the difficulty is to add armor upgrades and buff the health of enemies and bosses in the mid-game and beyond - make fights last longer, instead of having them brutally and possibly even unfairly short. It's a valid concern of many players that some of the late-game bosses and enemies deal just absurd damage - the player needs access to much better defensive stats and/or higher health pools. Personally, I always found drawn-out, low-risk fights to be more fulfilling than short, high risk ones, because there's room from for error even if it takes a while to get a win. But, to throw a few named example, a boss like Malenia or Maliketh is just brutal precisely because there simply isn't much room for mistakes. They have colossal healthpools, massive damage, high-aggression, advanced input-reading, and other mechanics that put out a lot of combative pressure, and the player, for all of the good damage they can deal, just can't deal enough to casually contend as a result of less than ideal health and defensive stats. Even tank builds get shredded like scissors through paper. Still the majority of the game is absolutely amazing, and even with those issues, it's overall still a great experience. It just rubs me the wrong way knowing that it could be better. Still, maybe a future patch will figure something out to address such complaints - already, a fair few have added more to character questlines. I can't imagine they won't at least consider restoring a couple of the more flushed out cut NPCs. I'm not sure what they can really do about some of the late game difficulty adjustments, but even if they don't do anything, it's not horrifically unbearable - just damn hard if you want to do a dedicated solo-playthrough, without summoning NPCs, players, or spirits. I suppose that's my one token of advice, for the day you might try Elden Ring - dispose of the concept of playing the entire game solo. A lot of this rant and idle rambling doesn't make a whole lot of sense without the context of having played the game, but if there's one thing I want to impart, it's this: If you can summon something - whatever it is - then do it. Some occasional encounters might be trivialized, depending on how much you like to explore the game and grind, but you'll probably have more fun overall. Save the no-summoning for a sequel playthrough. Damn, I went on a 5 paragraph tangent completely unrelated to the soundtrack or any response to your video. Sorry about that! And to think we all would hate writing essays, yet here I am, practically having finished one. I guess that's what a bit of passion for a topic does. I probably have rambled about this for the pass 2 months by now. Definitely time for a break from Elden Ring.
I won't say it's the best souls ost, but hot damn this theme is catchy. I often catch myself swaying and humming motifs from this theme at any given moment.
I think what I love most about this song is how it subverts expectations

Day 98 of requesting House of Sacred Remains from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. Beautifully atmospheric track and one of my fave's from video games in general. It'd be awesome to hear what you think of it. It's the theme of a level set starting from a cathedral and ending in the crypts through lots of library areas, it's not a particularly significant or infamous level at all but I think the track really reflects the hallowed grounds housing sacred relics beautifully. The 4 minute upload from the Castlevania Sound Team is the one to listen to.
