I wish Hampson would do artist editions of his books with better paper. His designs would be great in multiple media.

He has started limited PDF's. He already had some single pages, but he's added collections of several pages for each of his books. He also has a newsletter that gives you a free page every month. I totally agree his work deserves better paper.

I Have Started Taking Some Pictures Out Of My Books, An Photocopied Them On Better Paper.

So pleased to see Robbie looking so jaunty. Pets are such a worry you & your husband must be so relieved to see him getting back to normal. Your pages looked amazing Lily, yours is the only colouring channel where I watch completed pages videos as your work is relatable too. Thank you 😊

Yes, it was a worrying few weeks so we're so glad the vet got to the bottom of it and he's back to his bouncy self! Aww thanks Judith 🥰 I just enjoy colouring...for colouring. I'm no great artist nor do I aspire to be I just want to play with pens and pencils... and chill 🙂

He's just coming up to 2 years old (next month) and we got him when he was 9 months old... he was so boing-y when we first got him (like a tigger!) that when he went quiet and subdued, we knew something was up. It's so wonderful that he's got his spring back... I was worried for a while. 🥰

I think your one book July was a great success 👍 Perhaps restricting yourself to one book and using all your supplies might have been easier. At least you know that whatever you have to hand you can make it work ❤ glad to hear Robbie is doing well, he certainly looks spritely again bless him❤

I do too. I only started getting itchy fingers towards the end, I might have strayed if I had time to colour the last week of July 😆 Robbie is back to being like tigger 😆

Thanks Karen 🥰 RJ Hampson (and the odd Mandala book) are the only Amazon printed books I'm buying now. I really like his illustrations. Yes, always breaks my heart when furbabies are poorly and it's hard to know what's wrong. ❤

I'm in love with Robbie, he is so gorgeous💓 and i'm so glad he's all better. Loved all of your pages and in particular those birds on the cello page, they just made me laugh. Love the dragons and the owls, all are great but dragons my favourite. So glad furbaby is feeling better. Our boy was very poorly and has ended up on steroids for life, so I know how you must have been feeling. Xx

I like your pictures, maybe if you do 1 book again at least don't limit the pencils too? Or maybe do a variation, 1 set pf pencils but any book! ;D Someday I need that book....after I use up some of the waaay too many I already have lol. I am so glad Robbie is better. He looks so happy.

Nice video once again. am always nervous about using markers in books no matter how many videos i watch, lol. have splurged on the spectrum noir claasique markers, when Amazon finally deliver them. But cant wait to see your next video. Also what letter are you going to use for shop my supplies this month, .Keep on slurping.

Thanks Rebecca 🥰 I used to be nervous using alcohol markers too and only used them for Colour By Number books or big pattern books but I've got more used to them over time. I always prefer the fine tip... Still scared of chisel ends 😆

Alcohol marker base with pencil on top is by far my favorite way to color. I've struggled greatly to find a solution for my double sided books, tried a ton of other products... best thing so far is good quality watercolor pencils but the results really do vary depending on the paper. I haven't gotten on with waterbased markers at all, however I did see an alternative method I plan to try next putting them down on a palette and picking them up with a waterbrush. I tend to use my Prismas on top since they are opaque they are able to both shade and highlight over a midtone or dark base with very little effort.. but recently found the Chromaflows are also excellent toppers. They glide like a poly but cover like a Prisma, and have a great color palette for a 72 set. I tend to work in one book for a while, or more often flip between two. Right now I'm going between Hampton's Forest Song and Mythographic Deep Blue. I've been working with a budget set of alcohol markers from Bianyo.. and while they are "fine" and much less expensive, I'm spoiled by Ohuhu.. the colors just don't have the range I'm used to even in a 180 set which is the largest they offer.. especially lacking in pastels, greys, and cool yellows/browns. Way too much warm yellow/orange. I also really miss the brush tips.

Yes, I've only recently got into using alcohol base with pencil on top, it certainly speeds things up and I like using alcohol markers! I currently use just pencils in double-sided books because I never get the finish I like with waterbased markers. 🥰

@@ArtJourneyUK After three pages with the Bianyos I broke down and bought some more Ohuhu's LOL. So much better. I already had the original pastel set so I got the second pastel set which makes 96 pastels, and the 48 midtone set.. I feel pretty good with those. I really never use the dark colors anyway other than a very occasional background.

Such a joy to see Robbie in full flow again🥰 love all your pages they are so cute. Look forward to seeing what you choose next xx
