So much memories... such a shame it all ended just like that. Fuck this nostalgia, it makes me want to play again though I know it will never be the same. They're gone. Yet I'm still glad it happened :)

I played this during my worst times. Only finding sanctuary in this world. My friends in this game were better friends than the ones I had in real life. My Guild was my family as my real one was disconnected. The ambience of this game made me feel like home. The well designed open world and the beautiful songs while I flew around. Listening to this makes me cry. I miss everyone. I miss everyone so much.

Similar experience here, this game was my solace in a tough time in life during my teens- it was an escape from reality; I am glad it happened but glad i stopped playing also and focused on building a life in real life- I played in 2011, good times. Hope you are doing well

Anyone here remember when Archosaur was called Ancient Dragon City? I just started playing the game again after 7 years. I heard an old track and almost cried. This game was a very special part of my childhood. :)))

well idk about other countries, but I,in Russia, found a good old-school server with the version from 2008. The official 2017 version now is pure sh**, but here is all that hardcore, kind players and fun.

I miss soo much the old 2009 Lost City and the whole PWI... How i used to wander like crazy and gather every herb i find... when i thought i might control and become a monster, meeting new players and cities ... That was the beauty of discovering new places. It is 2016 and i still play sometime, but I can tell with the hand on my heart that it is nothing like true Perfect World.

God, I miss playing this game. Stopped being fun when my guild disbanded and everyone little by little stopped playing. First MMO of mine, first guild i ever joined. Miss talking with RedSnow members. :/

I played this when i was like 10 years old in 2009, i remember that i spoke english like shit (im a native spanish speaker), i dont even know how i communicated in those years but somehow i managed. In some way i think that i debt my english knowledge to that game. Those were good times.

What memories of playing it 16 years ago. It was a great game and it's sad to hear the melodies of this wonderful game. I hope everyone who used to play this game will return and I will return directly to it😭😭😭

I discovered the game thanks to a childhood friend (we're still friends, by the way, after some 20 years :) ). It is one of my favorite games of all time. It's the only mmorpg I ever played, and the soundtrack... Dude, I believe nothing compares to it and never will!!

It's been over a decade since I played this game. Life has changed so much that I don't even have a time to play any games nowadays but I find myself here whilst during the morning workdays. None of my employees are aany the wiser that we're listening to a gaming OST but they all have stated their enjoyment for it.

It was maybe the game I most played between 2010-2013. At first, I didn't even know how to teleport, so I just went flying like a bird from one city to the other (think the main cities, with HUGE distance between them lol). Simply an awesome game. So many memories (and screenshots)!!!!

i was feeling nostalgic after my final fantasy 14 sub ran out and i couldn't place where the nostalgia was coming from. It hasn't been too long since last i played PWI- i think maybe 5 years ago was the last time i logged in? but at the same time a lot can happen in 5 years. i moved house, i lost a parent, my friend group is totally different. I don't think i even thought about PWI until i woke up this morning with the Archasuar theme in my head and the nostalgia finally clicked. i know this video is 12 years old but thank you from december 2023 for sharing it.

I listen this every night in the past few weeks to fall asleep. It helps me, also I miss playing the game, I don't have time anymore.

I'm still resentful about the way this game was handled. The first 12 months were the most fun I've ever had on a video game. Played nearly every major MMO since and nothing compares.

So much memories... been playing since 2008, few month after the release and i remember being one of the few to ever defeat the first hard bosses (i remember one with lots of eyes on a mountain, can't remember the name) with good timings and good mates. Then the first anniversary packs arrived... everything changed :(

Literally brought a tear to my eye. I used to play this game all the time with my dad while he was away for long periods of times, man it brings back so many memories.

Archosaur is definetely nostalgic, but Feral City and neighboor cities had really nostalgic songs/1

When i lost my account it feels like half of my life was lost also. I have a noob archer but i still love it took me 5yrs to reach it to lvl102, the emotional investment I've put in that character is so big.

Mine also, i grinded my ass on my Yu-Ling (Healer) up to lvl82 until it was casually deleted during the merger... Oh the entire one year of college i ruined, skipped classes and all just to go online got snapped

i remember how horrified i was when it said i can't log in when somebody is already playing i was feelingn like about to get killed the thing that kept me playing was this beuatiful song. and the menu song was the scariest as it was the thing i heard while reading the message i can't log in also remember how after this menu song, it'd go silent, i'd hear waterfall sound effect and after it i'd get this message notification sound effect

I will never understand why they changed a game so loved and acclaimed by everyone. I'm from Brazil but I can see everyone saying that 2009 was the best time. They didn't know how to keep such a perfect game, they changed for the worse and lost so many players. could be strong full of players until today, but unfortunately they didn't know how to age the game well.

Those were some awesome times... I've played it from 2007 to about 2011 - unforgettable, sweet memories=) And the music is so heart-warming! Not to mention that so many people were awesome there.

I think it must have been about 7 years ago since I last played this game. This still gives me nostalgia. Used to play on Harshlands. Kind of want to check what this game has turned into, but then again, I quit because I hated the direction the game was going for. I really loved this game to pieces when I played.

I started this game in mid-2009; the first time I heard that strings/flute version of the main theme it gave me chills. This game really got under my skin. Some elements of it really suck but somehow it's the only game I've ever played to which I've become emotionally attached.

@Mrumbreon1 Its simple to get to it, you go to my computer, Local disk, Perfect world entertainment(File), Element, Music Folder, there you can pull it up in windows media player or even move it to your desktop to listen to it, inside music there is the file named "Ambiencestereo" and that would have sounds such as Wind, and Basic Backround Sounds. Hope this helps.

+Ann It's always been my favorite song too! It's in the dungeon in the floating cross thing that sit over Chestboard Valley (It's near King Slope, Disaster Valley, to the left of Ghost Swamp) If you look on the PWI Map in game it looks like a big cross. Just go up in the air, through the portal, and enjoy!

woa this is old, Sanctuary was the first server I ever played for like 10 months maybe? Nefarious had the map and I was on their "sister" faction while learning the game doing TT runs and those Delta runs I believe that was how those were called? back when leveling took time and getting gear was an accomplishment.
