I'm confident with Steve and he is cleaning up Dorion's mess right now while getting some good pieces. Getting rid of Korpi's contract (most of it!) and acquiring Ullmark addressed a big concern for the team. Imagine their confidence playing in front of last year's Vezina winner. Yes, we aren't Boston, but it frequently felt like we couldn't get a save last year. Also, Chychrun isn't as good and worth as much as people seem to think in my opinion. I was not overly impressed with his time in Ottawa after watching almost every game last season. I'm much happier with not extending him and acquiring a RHD with 2 years left at $4M. And the depth additions to the forwards sound good so far. My biggest concern at the moment is what the hell will happen with Norris? I don't think he'll play another game as a centre in the NHL, and I'm not overly confident he'll ever be the $8M player they hoped he'd be. I hope for the best for him, but let's be realistic at this point. And don't worry, Pinto will get signed, we just don't know when or for how much. Great show as always lads, cheers!

I think what is much needed is to buy your Defense a chance as well. Defense don’t have to constantly worry about what might happen tonight. It boost comfort and confidence.

@@FullSweatTryhard Idk what your off about but Ottawa's problem has never been with the core. They have proven they can score and put up pts, our problem was that we haven't had a real goalie since Anderson left, and have been trying to chase our next Erik Karlsson. We had way to many offensive dman on our team and no real defenders. We added more depth with playoff experience and a Vezina winning goalie. Dont forget we are also the third youngest team in the NHL.

Honestly I see Greig and Pinto and Stutzle to have a big year. If we get Norris back at a decent clip, I have faith.

Fingers crossed that Norris is healthy and mostly stays that way. It would be nice to have a year where the centres are all mostly available and the only reason for lineup juggling is just to keep things fresh or try new things. I can't wait to see who pushes for spots in the lineup during camp. How will Halliday do? How will the D sort themselves out? Will Hamonic actually look playable after his surgery?
Surprised we still had to pay someone a 3rd to take Joseph of our hands. Man Dorion just left such a mess and wasted draft capital bringing names instead of the right pieces. Trying to save his job really set this team back that we may not see this core take the next step.

This deal is on Steve, you cannot say the deal is a mess by Dorian. Steve left value on the table for Chychrun and Joseph. I mean I think Dorian is bad but you cannot blame Dorian when it is Steve who leave value on the table

Pumped that you guys are seeing big growth now, because it's so warranted. There are people that are paid to cover the draft for a living and you arguably do a better job. Now is the time that you deserve the most flowers for your tremendous work. Love ya lads

Should have signed him long term. After 2 seasons of losing. He’ll want out.
Agreed! Given Chabot nothing to work with for years! Get this man a respectable pairing and see what he can do.
I heard your screaming on live tv and I knew who it was right away. Great job boys
Boys. I gotta work. Keeper goin though!! lol
Ullmark will shut out the Panthers in the home opener to set the tone for the season lol
Wow I heard you guys say go sens go and didnt even think about it being you guys 😂 thats hilarious
Joseph is gone along with a 3rd for future consideration.... future considerations never ends well.
I think Staios has done really good considering very few great players are willing to come play in Ottawa. Higher taxes, cold weather and the fact that Ottawa is a wildcard team at best is hard to accept for great players. Our hope now is that coaching and the team will be good enough for a wildcard spot next year. Hoping for a good start for a change!

Joseph is gone indeed. To St. Louis.
Even if we get one good year out of Perron and we can sneak in to a spot, I’ll be stoked.

I’m hoping having Perron on the team will keep Brady out of the box.
I truly believe Chycruns name sounds wild but after seeing him in Ottawa, I believe he is overhyped.
I think it’s a good move. Buddy played with Sandin last year. No wonder why he had a huge drop off! When he was good he played with airlock and Charra. playing with Sandy or Chabby will sort him out. Guy hits and blocks lots of shots. Hits more than Tanev!

Finally, the realized that Shane Pinto is a second line center.Tim Stuzle can play top or second, that's why you don't need Norris.Pardon some of my grammatical mistakes,I have a black hole on my screen.Kubalik could be moved with JBD for another middle six left wing,Neidereiter,Morgan Barron,Adam Henrique,or Jan Ruta a top pairing right shot to second,a vet.

After trading away. Joesph with a 3rd for nothing and the brutal free agent signings, as well as the horrible chychrun trade, I’m just about done with staois. There’s no chance this team makes playoffs and for at least a few more seasons.

Staios takes long to make decisions and we lose out on getting anything for a trade or we lose out on picking up players. Every trade Tarasenko, Chykrun and now giving away Joseph plus a third round pick. Those are horrible negotiation skills. Yes we got ullmark but we won’t make the playoffs and he won’t sign here and Brady will want out. He will give them away for nothing too. Staios in my opinion isn’t any better than Dorion.

The Sens acquired a goalie with a career saving percentage of 91.8%. Last year, the Sens scored 255 goals and allowed 281 with a team saving percentage of 89%. With Jenson added in the Right D and the Sens scoring the same number of goals as last year, my estimation is that 28 less goals will be scored on the Sens next season if Linus plays 41 games and he maintains his career average saving percentage. Assuming that, the team scores the same number of goals and allows the same number of shot of goal against, the Sens will be an overall +2 in 2024-25, an improvement from -26 in 2023-24. This will be the minimum for the Sens to compete for a playoff spot.

Of course we didn’t. We are stupid. Colorado is smart.
No one should be complaining too much about what Staios has done here. We got rid of Korpi's impossible to move contract, unloaded poor-fit undersized Branny, and got Vezina-winning Ullmark in net. Those are A+. Then we've unload error-prone & looks strong but doesn't hit Chychrun, and we've brought in more experience, grit and RHD all of which we needed desperately. We can pick apart any individual move, specifically the return for Chych and Branny, oh and now Joseph, and the previous return for Terasenko, but I do believe they got what the market was offering given the contracts expectations (and how crappy Chych & Branny played for us). Plus we got a whole new coaching team, including Alfie in the mix. So Staios addressed pretty much all of the major needs. Now we just have to figure out Pinto, but I'm feeling somewhat confident that they won't screw it up. GO SENS!
