Important note: the 4pc ToM set ONLY WORKS with the first hit of Nilou's skill (which means you can run the 2pc with another 2pc) BUT 4 ToM is STILL useful because you can snapshot the first ATK buff when swapping into DMC after and using their burst for example, so it's still a viable option especially because she doesn't really have any other super relevant options anyways (and because you still get the 20% HP% from the 2pc). - TL;DR 4pc ToM only works on first hit, so it's not as recommended -- but can still work to snapshot the buff OR just use 2pc ToM with any other 2pc. anyways Nilou pretty 💃💧

Just to add to it, I don't think her signature weapons is the only viable one, some other have good stuff going for her like favonius, black sting etc but still, really annoying that there is no HP f2p option to use with her because it makes the gap a lot bigger than it should be

Ppl should keep this in mind that the current spiral abyss rotation is relatively easier and there is a dendro damage bonus in effect which may make nilou look more powerful than usual

There is no buff for dendro or any kind of elemen on the floor 12 tho But there is blessing for floor 9 - 12 which increase EM if u trigger bloom, hyperbloom, and burgeon, if im not wrong

She might be good as soon as mihoe releases at least one hydro and 2 more dendro chars scaling with EM. Otherwise you have to build 3 chars around her alone and make them bad for other teams.

I think a big part of it is being paid! These KZread channels get paid to make Genshin content, making it easier to spend money on the game since they earn it back. They're able to pull for new characters and build them/test them before most people get them. Of course they're also putting a TON of time and effort in this! Being able to play, grind and research for a long time compared to those that have a traditional job and are only able to play in their free time. I'm amazingly impressed with these channels, but this one is my absolute favorite! ❤️

There's a domain in Inazuma called moshiri kara - has a bunch of mobs that come to you and group themselves. It's a pretty good testing ground to get a more realistic damage output considering the current abyss is very skewed towards buffing bloom cores.

One thing I want to mention: Nilou's E works different from Childe's E. If you use the sacrifical sword and press E multiple times, each press has a chance to reset your E And the reset will be available as soon as you have successfully ended your cast chain. Essentially you can do E E E E, get your hydro aura, then press E NA NA NA and have your hydro infusion and hydro aoe ring both active simultaniously giving you better hydro application if you choose to play Nilou as an on-field driver. Definitely going to play national Nilou

Thats what I do with Nilou. Sacrificial Sword is more fun to use than her own signature weapon

Small tip for activating the off-field hydro aura: use E N2 E combo, it’s quicker than spam E.

Nilou is one of the characters I’m most awaiting a rerun for. I love her design and animations, and the niche play style she fills interests me a ton and looks really fun.

About the E skill. You don't necessarilly have to do all autos or spam E if you want to get Sword Dance or Water Wheel, respectively. The only important input is the last one. If you end with an auto you get sword dance while if you end with an E you get the water wheel. If you want to min max dmg this can be helpful since pressing auto instead of E before the final stack deals higher dmg duie to the sword dance steps (auto) having higher multiplier. I also felt that doing AAE instead of EEE is faster for the water wheel. Having said that the water wheel dance steps (E) hits a larger AoE so you might want to use this when there are more enemies.

6:54 For reference, Nahida fixes all, and I mean ALL, of Nilou's problems. She's actually a very powerful, albeit limited character, who scales hard with investment. Just the problem is that, well, Nahida comes out in two weeks. Not only is Nilou getting a short run banner but that the person right after her is MUCH MUCH more desirable than her, and the Rate up 4 Stars on her banner suck as well. It sucks because Nilou is actually pretty neat as a character, representing the social pressures that people tend to face when they chose to specialize in art and performance fields, rather than academic fields. And this is modelled in game as Nilou faces scorn and even harassment from the Akedemiya of Sumeru as well as her own family, for forgoing a science based field in favor of performing arts. It's kinda sad to see people over-generalizing her as "Another Traveler Simp" just because she has proper respect for someone who has managed to gain a pretty decent amount of notoriety in Teyvat. Wasn't a big complaint about Skyrim, for example, the fact that the guards and NPCs never acknowledge the players deeds in any capacity? Even if they directly see you performing them?

everybody, 4pc TOTM is not a ‘good option’ for off field Nilou/ in general. her aqua ring does not work with the 4pc effect, only her on field dps style does, and the 20% attack won’t really help her playstyle/teams that much. just run 2pc and another 2pc (hydro, burst, em or er%!!) :) (+ 4 piece HOD also does not work for her dps playstyle, unless you run Candace’s burst infusion!! her skill ‘attacks’ count as elemental skill attacks!!) ‼️

Yea I was like "what?" when he recommended 4piece TOTM. I run 2 piece TOTM and 2 piece GD because I want to be on field with Nilou so im gonna work my ass off to get the EM I need to make her a monster. I figure since I already have her sig weapon, HP is pretty covered. Even at 57k current HP/398 EM (this is with an EM sands) she still procs almost 30k blooms (not in abyss btw with inflated number).

Hey mate can you do an updated guide on Nilou with the release of Nahida. I feel like i missed out on Nilou didnt pull for her but now with Nahida out I think shes probably the strongest dps in genshin is that true ???

Why would you use a 4pc Millelith set though? Her off-field skill doesn't do damage, it only applies wet status and therefore can't proc the passive (same problem Barbara has). If I am wrong on that, correct me. And even if you could technically stack 2-4 of the passive by just attacking (since one stack only lasts for 3s, the first one will probably run out once you switch characters), most of the characters in this team will probably be there to support your Bloom reaction, which includes one healer (who usually doesn't scale with ATK) and at least one fully EM built character (either Dendro or Hydro). But even if your last character is ATK scaling, every stack only lasts for 3 seconds, so the only Hydro character that could really use that is Childe and maybe Xingqui E and for Dendro characters I guess Tighnari, but then again, you probably want to play some other Dendro character. So the buff isn't really worth it considering that it is harder to farm for a 4pc set. I would probably advise people to just go for a 2pc + 2pc option (using a bit EM as a second stat isn't that bad considering it's not always easy to make sure who procs the bloom reactions) at this point and maybe wait a bit for future updates. Maybe there will be an artifact set that either increases all bloom related reactions (since Dehya will probably revolve around Burgeon) or maybe even an artifact set that has a similar effect to the Battle pass bow since you are missing CC in Nilou teams (which is a complete shot in the dark btw, I just think it might be an interesting way for the developers to counter the restrictions Nilou teams have).

@@Zy0x Thanks for clarifying. I was thinking though. If you use her on-field version, her attacks get hydro infusion. Are they then treated as NAs or still skill damage (which is the case during the skill activation). If it is still skill damage, you could continuously proc the effect with Nilou on field which would buff Xingqiu rain swords.

Baizhu and Nahida will probably make Nilou teams skyrocket in value (not that they're low value). Baizhu will probably be a healer since he's a doctor so if he has good dendro application the teams will end up being cracked. Nahida is Nahida. I'd talk about why I think she'd be great but not everyone wants leaks (plus she's only a couple weeks away so we'll find out soon)

Harbinger of Dawn is insanely good on her if you want to play her as much as possible like doing her skill basic attacks. Since all of her kit scales of hp, the low base atk of HoD sword didnt matter. The account i summoned for Nilou is fairly new and does not have enough resources to invest on dendro characters and doesnt have kokomi for healing(coz bloom hurts) I personally love her hydro slashes and her burst animation is beautiful. i already have a separate team for difficult stuff like the abyss so using the dps build for Nilou pretty much is enough for everything(i also plan on getting her in my main acc)

I feel like nilou will be useful once alhaitham comes out, like in a team comp which is made out of: alhaitham/dendro dps, nahida/kusanali/dendro support, nilou/hydro support and bloom reaction upgrader, kokomi/barbara/hydro healer

Thighnari, Xingqiu, Nilou and Kokomi is an amazing team. Thighnari: Normal>Charge>Dash>Repeat Can clear abyss 12 chambers in 30 seconds and its really fun since it requires alot of inputs and not just spamming left click

@@xiarabell She doesnt trigger any reactions so u can run Thrilling tales or Prototype amber for more HP but i like to use sacrificial fragments so i can move the jelly fish to a new location if i want to instead of just resetting the timer with burst (thrilling tales can be used to buff xingqiu but sac frag is very convienient)

If you only want c0 Baizhu go and get her, until Baizhu comes out you can collect at least 144 wishes. If you buy wishes with starglitter or do even a little bit exploration and story’s you can get him easily. If you can do 36 abyss runs it gets even better.

@@Unfug90 ya i’ve been trying to calculate how much i can get exactly, and i usually buy the $100 top up at christmas for myself so i’ll definitely have enough. he’s just someone i’ve wanted ever since i saw him in 1.0 so i wanna get his weapon and hopefully some cons. still depressed tho cuz so many characters i want coming/reruning but patience is key, they will come again :(

@@frostiecowy I tried to calculate this for myself because i want him too since 1.0 :D You should even get more primo because i didnt consider that they turn back to longer patch phases. Good luck too you and finally he is coming home :)

@@Unfug90 yesss i’ve also been a wanted since 1.0 and now that he’s here i can confidently skip everyone, i want c0 r1 bare minimum and i’m praying for at least c2 after that. i’m at 95 wishes now, and i get welkin and bp so i think i have a chance..

She looks fun! I kinda regret using one more wish on Cyno's banner for fun because I actually got him. He feels quite nice to play but is more of a Razor 2.0 for me.

I didn't really wanted nilou but I got her accidentally bc I was building pity for someone and nilou just decided to come and let me win my 50/50 now she was just pretty much collecting dust in my shelf so I decided to build her, I do like her design so it's a worth a shot

Is it just me, or is the Favonius sword an aesthetically better option for Nilou?

I really love using sac sword on her which lets me use both of her stances at once

Very interesting kit. A bit of a shame her passives don't do anything outside dendro/hydro comps (Hoyo should have added weaker, secondary effect for other comps). I'll look forward to her rerun when he have more dendro and hydro characters. At the moment Nilou feels a bit too restrictive so I won't be pulling her just yet. Radish Archon and fiery cat lady come first.

she's just full hp w either sac sword or em sword. I think it's her teammates that r a little more complex just go 4pc gilded on collei and 4pc deep wood on traveller, with a shit ton of er and some decent er and damage stats on both of them then Barbara with healing and a bit of em and er

She's not that confusing really. You use her more effectively on bloom teams so for you to not be more confused, don't use her on any other teams until you have a solid grasp in her playstyle (so as all characters really). Slap all HP boosting artifacts you have on her with some energy recharge. Sac frags for weapon. Always use two dendro two hydro characters until a more consistent and effective dendro comes (jee I wonder who that is). Have those two dendro on the two new artifact sets with as much em as you can and enough energy recharge to burst consistently (you WILL need it). Have that hydro characters be a healer, you WILL need it. Barbara can work just fine especially with prototype amber but if you have kokomi, she's much comfortable to use. Slap the clam set on the healer and boom your done. The combo should probably be collei and dmc skill and burst, nilou E skill three times (that's for the hydro ring to activate) then barbara or kokomi E skill for healing.

Nilou came home at 39 pity right now 😭💙✨ and it's my 2nd time winning 50/50. I'm definitely gonna build her right away!!!

I got lucky and got her randomly with no previous wishes while trying to get some constellations for beidou and guess I'm down into the rabbit home with Nilou now lmao

I think I hit a nice sweet spot with my Nilou, got her and her weapon and running 2pc TotM and 2pc HoD. But my HP goblet is my off piece and didn't have a HoD HP% Circlet so I'm running a crit rate Circlet with like 8%HP and 21%CD. but with everything together she sits comfortably at 62k HP with hydro resonance but also a nice 60/130 crit ratio. does great blooms and pretty decent personal damage since she crits decently often.

Nilou is like Jigglypuff, except instead of her performances putting enemies and allies alike to sleep, they all die

Watching this guide gave me luck cause I wished for nilou and got her AND MONA at 17 pity + got her weapon accidentally at 30 pity 🎉🎉

She can but her passive on having all hydro or dendro team is more effective to deal more damage on blooms.

I was surprised when my nilou team cleared abyss chambers really quickly

it’s because of bloom bonus in spiral abyss rn makes her look more powerful than she actually is

Are you going to remake/make an updated team comp guide when more dendro characters come out?

If you're just using her for bloom reactions, is it recommended to level up her talents?

She's so good. 40k blooms blowing up my screen.
