@@raaza4 hahaha true, you basically can’t use her lol. i hear xiangling and fischl would be good for oceanid. i actually used a freeze team in co-op, we just kept spamming E/Q and it surprisingly worked wonders (although it probably took a lot longer than others).

She was my first 5 star that I pulled when I first started genshin impact, so up until now, I haven’t played her properly. This video has definitely helped me learn more about her, so I’ll be sure to reference this guide whenever I’m having trouble. Thank you for the guide!

Just letting you know Zy0x, in freeze teams, mona's debuff omen starts when you cast the burst. So the buff stays for the entire duration and 5s after it is popped. So in freeze teams, the debuff 60% is active for 5-10s and 5 seconds extra after bubble pops

Yeah the omen duration extends in a freeze team to where it lasts for a long time. i couldve probably explained it a bit better (i say burst applies omen @ start of section but couldve explained freeze part better), good clarification good comment , might specify this in pinned. ty!

EoSF is definitely overtuned for burst heavy dps characters which is like 80% of the cast

Not All but Most of. There are few exceptions. VV is quite irreplaceable for Anemo (except Xiao?) as it shreds elemental resistant, TotM or Bolide on shield characters, also Pale Flame or Bloodstained for Physical. But yeah most of characters definitely can utilize Emblem set.

YEP! That's why it's really WORTH the resin to farm the Emblem domain. In addition, you also get the Shimenawa and its 2-pc effect is good for a lot of characters. 18% ATK bonus is plain and simple, yet very helpful.

Standard banner is the only one worth it. Unless you plan on spending hundreds to get multiple constellations. Pulling standard banner can guarantee 5 stars with multiple constellations.

@@Sergmanny46 I don't think you completely understand how her Q works. The idea is you apply Pyro before the Q, cause the Vape WITH her Q cast(yes it applies Hydro) and the idea is you want to trigger the explosion with another Pyro attack(after 2-3 seconds). If you use sprint by accident you can cause the multiplier to be consumed by the Hydro application if you sprint too close, fucking up the combo in the process.

Honestly I’ve been struggling with getting good sets from there, so I just put Xiangling on CWoF, since I’m running her national w Mona anyways. I just recently swapped XQ from 2NO 2HoD to Emblem, so I guess I’ll have to start farming again for Mona 😭

Finally someone who explains Mona's burst and gives ALL the information. I feel a bit ashamed to not have realised you needed to apply fire first tbh, but the other part where her burst had a 2 second internal cooldown before applying hydro i didn't know! A lot of people have said you should wait a few seconds before Bennett E'ing, but i never knew why. Now i do! Thanks for bringing all the information in and simplifying it man! Truly appreciate it.

I recommend you to *try* pulling on kokomi’s banner. Cuz i’ve seen a lot of people getting mona in just a few pulls. And yes i know this sounds stupid but this seriously works.

Thanks for this! got mona at 2.2 and I didn't build her since, I got a few decent emblem pieces while farming shimenawa and she made my latest abyss run smoother than my last one. She's very strong and I wouldn't mind getting her c1 since I am running a freeze team ganyu in the abyss.

Great timing! I was just researching Mona this week as I'm finally taking the time (while passing on Kokomi) to try and properly build her. I have her at C1 so I know she's being wasted. It is just so, so hard to find a spot for her when it usually involves kicking C4 Xinqiu off the team. I find her mechanics to be overly complicated. I think you explained it well, but she's still a tricky one to figure out optimal rotations and to find the best cohort. I've not heard many people recommending Emblem for her, but I think that's a solid choice and much easier to farm than the alternatives. She's a versatile character with a lot of options, which is great, but she's pretty clunky and requires a lot of practice for optimal damage.

5:33 I think the other reason why Zhongli's pillar does not pop the bubble because of physics: 1) the pillar just pushes the bubble upward; 2) bubbles float while active so the resonance does not hit it.

Got Mona on standard banner while wishing for Kequing, but never regretted. She actually has a huge burst damage and with dendro and cryo users she shines exceptionally great. One of my optimal team comps: Tighnari and Xiao as DPS, Mona as burst support and Bennett as healer and burst amplifier.

Thrilling Tales and Tanacity of the Millelith + her omen is amazing for Mona if you just want a low investement support for a freeze comp. Probably one of the best damage amplifiers in the game and it let you run Nobless Oblige on Bennet or Diona or whoever your healer is.

You probably know this now, but omen is applied right away so if you use attacks that don't burst the bubble then you still get the damage buff and it applies for longer

i don't like that team. my best mona team in practice is xingqiu mona xiangling bennet, and yes i know it's ideal to have that xingqiu there but it's what worked best in most scenarios for vaping xianling's shit. plus helps with some decent auto attack damage when ults are on cooldown. venti being kinda useless lately with heavy enemies everywhere in the abyss, so morgana doesn't work.

Thanks, I've been building my freeze support Mona with a fav codex and 4p noblesse despite emblem being the new cool build, so I'm glad to see my build makes perfect sense. Also sharing my own permafreeze team which is Ayaka + Diona + Mona + Kazuha, it's extremely good. I've also been using Mona with Raiden for daily commissions and they make a fun pair for ranged electro-charge in a taser team as well

I've been maining Mona for 6-7 months now and she is great! I play her as my main dps and for my build I have her talents at 8-8-8, the widsith on her and for artifacts I have 2 piece noblesse oblige and 2 piece heart of the depth and her goblet has hydro dmg bonus (im f2p)

I came back super late December with the Ayato banner and Raiden but didn't know what wishing was- Anyway, in January, I pulled for the 1st time and got Qiqi. I am young and can not spend money wishing, but when I save up, I can! I fight bosses quickly but don't get good artifacts, but I just looked at some domains yesterday evening and realized I can get such good artifacts! I then realized I have to be at a certain rank...I am stuck at AR25 because I can't defeat the fauti guy, lol! I don't have Mona, but when I do, I will look back at this and start building her!

Mona caught me by surprise on the standard banner. Great guide!

Mona was my first 5* (lost 5050 when rolling for venti, but got him anyway). She immediately changed my gameplay, I learned a lot about reactions and stamina. I played her mostly with xiangling, benny and a flex (usually venti), where she acted as a main dps, because I just kept vaporizing her charged attacks. Cool gameplay where I was fishing for CAs between guobas and pyrenados applications.

A thing to note about the goblet choice. I like seeing the choice here being similar to the choice for Raiden Shogun: If you got about 250% ER, go for atk% because the passive talent effect will give enough hydro bonus where you not only don’t need the extra hydro bonus, but it also provides less damage than atk%. And if not, go for the hydro bonus.

Out of all the heroes that you still haven't done a guide video yet i'm very grateful that you choose Mona b/c your guides are just so well put together and i just got her 3 days ago on the standard banner. this was truly destined by FATE

I found out why he’s never gotten Mona lol, I keep stealing his. I’ve gotten her three times now and only have qiqi as my other five star in the traditional banner.

Finally got her after 2 years

I’ve been loving her. She’s my first 5* back on 9/28/2020🥳one of the oldest Mona’s out there 🥰I wanted mine to be able to be on field and off field so she has high crit rate, decent crit dmg, and is on the energy set

i have to farm that set for mine. i have 225% ER because i use favonius on mine, it's such a waste not to convert that into some extra damage. currently running 2-glad 2-noblesse because that's what i had laying around. substats are pretty good tho and she still does her job masterfully even if her damage isn't that great.

i follow your guides step by step my mona is doing way more damage than before at least 15k w her elemental burst and i don’t even have the whole artifact set yet tysm i use her as a dps w bennet xiangling and fischl
