@Sammy I was thinking for awhile that there was something familiar about this guy. I just realized that he is a lot like this dude I used to work with years ago. He was an alright guy except when he started going on a protracted monologues about either his landlord, the chandeliers in his apartment, or the tools going down for maintenance in the lab. Man, that guy would talk nonstop about literally one of those three things all the time until one day he got fired for cussing out his supervisor out of frustration caused by policy changes in the lab we worked in. Anyway, I don't know what brought that up but a little ditty I thought I would mention and an entirely true one as well. Cheers my friend!

I'm not paying another dime in taxes until the Federal Attorney General does his job and sues the Scranton city Council for violating this man's rights, and I live in Canada!

Only someone who’s never served on a city council would say that. The vast majority of elected municipal officials are volunteers. They’re sacrificing their personal time to try to make a difference and to keep the gears of government and administration moving. Of course there are a few bad apples, as there is in every field and profession. But the vast majority are serving in good faith. People like Mr. Lyman are a nuisance. The courts have weighed in plenty on public comments, and lots of people would be surprised that limits can be placed on the time a member of the public can speak. If they were just allowed to speak ad nauseam, meetings would never end. Here in Massachusetts, the only time public comment is required is at a public hearing, which are required for very specific things. People like Mr. Lyman waste everyone’s time and offer nothing productive. I can’t believe these councilors are even responding to him. So no, no one’s first amendment rights are being violated. Don’t like it, petition the supreme court. That’s every American’s right.

What boggles my mind about all this is that Ray hasn't made a KZread channel yet where he basically vlogs everything on a monthly... no weekly... no daily... no HOURLY basis. He might actually get a rather decent number of followers.

This is pure gold! It should be on criterion collection.

I said this to myself the first time i saw him (from a 2007 meeting with "miss scateli") - this is what our founders envisioned, a republic with an inquisitive citizenry who will challenge their elected leaders at every turn and that's what this gentleman does - I wish we had a million more like him because the country is falling apart out west and in the really big cities where elected leaders are out of control.

Not really. You're describing Populism, and the Founders detested it, as they were mostly aristocrats who feared uneducated mobs meddling with law and public policy. They ranged the gamut from Adams & Madison (who were quite anti-democracy) to Hamilton & Jefferson (who were more pro, although still haughty). The most pro-people 'Founders' (although I'm not sure they really count) were Thomas Paine and Benjamin Franklin.
