I would recommend the Wind Serpent for PvP, dropping flanking strike, and picking up kill command. It’s lightning breath has a 20 yard range, and hits for 140, 125, 110 with kill command.. then about 90 without, and that’s with chimera gloves and spec’d as marksmen. I find it’s more useful than flanking strike, because I’m usually very good at kiting, and staying out of range.

The point I was trying to make is that you want to use flanking strike then raptor strike because you get that 20% chance for flanking , raptor , flanking

The reset is related to the damage bonus, because it stacks the bonus damage up to +30%, only if you get a reset within 10 seconds of flanking will you have a chance. I’ve never gotten past 20% tho honestly.

Probably late to the party but u can also get charge 3 from the boars in RFK. they are armored boars so their design looks cooler and some of them are lvl 24 and 25. No need to go get bellygrub if you are horde and there's always groups farming RFK so if u tell them u wanan tame one they will help you.

/petattack all abilities put it first so your pet moves to tar.. i use it with /cast hunters mark/ cast pet attack ... leave pet on passive so you can tar switch and recall easily mark healers and have boar charge then when charge is off cd switch back to og tar

Maybe youll see this. But what are your thoughts on going for the tailoring boots over the lw gloves for the 30% damage reduction plus SP which affects our serpent sting thus affecting the chimera boost from it as well?

I know they recently nerfed it a bit, but lightning breath scales with Ranged Attack Power and is only modified by Spell Power by 0.5, meaning if you had +8 Spell Power the lightning breathe would only add +4. Don’t think it’s a big enough trade off to go boots , gloves would still be better

I'd say 30% reduced dmg is the best thing you could have in pvp. The 10% attack speed might add 100 dmg vs being able to tank an extra few 100s

What I meant is that it’s not as obvious than the horde choices I wouldn’t say dwarves are clearly better , being able to kite out of a fight and get extra ticks of food while in shadowmeld is really good for group PvP

i think Flanking Strike is best because it gives us more options when a player get to us in melee. Hunter's main job is to try not to let players get on to them, but that wont always be the case and its nice to have that extra ability to do more dmg for when they do. If you are running w Wind Serpent using Kill Command could be another option, but they other 2 runes really will not be used that much in PvP. @@BeefStakewithButterandGarlic

@BeefStakewithButterandGarlic keeping space between melee in PvP is the hardest part for hunters. Best way to get better is duel as many melee as you can , so you can get comfortable

I made my own build 0/9/7... 5 imp concussive, 4 lethal shots. 3 humanoid slaying , 2 deflection, 5 savage strikes. Lion, chimera (for disarm especially), and flanking strike. I make sure my pet is dismissed. Find a nice place to hunt, shadowmeld and wait for prey. Open with call pet Auto shot pet attack macro. Serpent or scorpid situation depending. Then chimera, concussive (hopefully stun procs) close the gap. Flanking strike & raptor strike macro. Wing clip. Ideally this ends up in a kill but things never really go that smoothly in PVP. You could just not use a pet at all, but still keep Lion, unless you want a severe handicap with lone wolf which is worse than useless (because you lose 20% stats) anyway it's my finger to the meta and all the people in week one with the "why aren't you beast mastery?" Cause it's boring and gives the meta bandwagon a carry that they use to act like they're actually good and to grief.

I just have a little question , to think about it. Would aspect of the lion would be better in battleground , instead of the marksman rune? Maybe it will be better if you know your team si good and you are maybe premades, and go marksman if you are solo. What do you think about it? ( my whole idea was that , yes crit and mana reduc is fine , but i think its kinda selfish , but the aspect boosts so much stats on your team) . Would love to hear your opinion on the topic

It’s general like if the person was standing still. Usually circumstances change if they run away, you have cooldowns , etc. But a good way to practice is grab the addon Details and hit mobs with a rotation, that way you can practice what works best for you. A main point I was trying to get across is that you want to auto attack as much as possible, because a majority of our dmg comes from that

Sniper Training for legs and master marksman for chest usually doesn’t change unless raid needs aspect of lion. I use chimera shot for single target and explosive for aoe targets, but I do need to try beast mastery + kill command w the scorpion

my dilemma is.... the Chest rune.... Master Marksman is juicy as you suggested 5% crit and mega reduction to mana costs, however Aspect of the Lion is 20% stat increase for hunter and 10% stat buff to all raid/party! ... how are we not required to use it for raid ignore me, this is pvp guide :P

I agree, I’m also running with the boar in pvp just because it has charge. What’s the point of the higher damage of a scorpid if it’s literally can’t get to the target 😅 Later on when your pets can learn dash, you can switch to a cat, an owl etc. but right now I think boar is bis

More utility w scorpid sting which disarms enemy, and does more single target dmg w serpent sting and saves the refresh mana Explosive is good for Ashenvale PvP for sure But I’d say chimera is better for solo / bg PvP

Chimera does way more damage than explosive, it’s on its own CD, and If you use explosive, you can’t use aimed shot. aimed shot fits perfectly between auto shots too, and does more damage than explosive as well. Explosive is crap for PvP.

for pve it looks like BM is the way to go, but for PvP im literally in a group of 6 hunters for a wsg premade and im toping dmg/kills. BUT i do have BiS XBow i think its worth it to go MM if you have pre-raid bis weapon and definitely if you have BiS XBow and for Alliance its super easy to get pre-raid BiS w Raptor's End, which is only a short 3 part quest in Wetlands

Getting leatherworking to 100 cost me less than 1g, no reason not to get professions.

its a tradeoff and depends on your playstyle i like boars because the root makes it so we only need 2 sec of leeway for aimed shot , it also catches players that you are trying to chase down scorpids are good for constant dmg

@@Western_TV All pvp weapon skill is automatically considered to be at LVLX5 maxed. You could have a fury warrior that never used a 2hand axe in its life, go arms for some PVP and you wouldn't see the difference in skill as your best weapons in PVE

ok man i reached 10.000 hk in 2009,gonna give you some tips right of the bat..... first of all...when i see the first 10 sec i see im looking at a noob. so here are the stips: Keybinds,1234567890 is very bad. i have buttons like: mouse button-5,shift+mouse-buttont-5,q,e,shift-q-e,123,z,x,shift x,scroll up,shift scroll up so on... disengage is shift+scroll back,for me. (super handy) so keybinds.....change keybinds to something that suits you. again 1234567890 bad,qezxcfrv123,scroll up,scroll down,extra button on mouse,and shift/control combos. good :) macros....ive changed my dps from 15k,to 40 k in one day,just by setting up some macros. (yesterday) some skills are instant,and dont have shared cooldowns,macro them...(like trinkets and items,and some special ability's.) a simple macro is arcaneshot(cooldown) + countershot(instant-2min?),or exileration(instant-2min),survival of the fittests(instant-2min),+ optional a potion(instant-5min). (shared action cooldown+(instant-cooldown),good combo.) go pro! (this will also half your skills you need to remember) click and forget traps,/cast [@player]freezing trap. im marksman,so your setup could be different. youll also have way more fun as hunter....and if you and old school kite'r ,youll even be able to semi-tank with mail armor. to kite: pull a lot ,but not get hit...agility :P (your main stat) croud control. train on wild life as a final tip...try to pull a small mob and survive... go to the limit...of what you and your pet can tank...while evading attacks. if there out of range, or your not in front of them ,they cant hit you. (bunny hop lolz(jump like a bunny around your target)) cast misdirection [@pet] macro, make your pet the tank. ( for easy mode) garanteed,that if you follow this little guide, youll get addicted to hunter. but in theory you can apply it to any class. just for some
