Complete Bedroom Makeover | painting, new furniture, organizing & decorating
For the past two months I have been transforming my non-aesthetic, overwhelming, child-like bedroom into a space that is clean, calm and very special to me. I hope you enjoying watching this transformation as much as I enjoyed making it happen.

I was waiting for you to realise you had the board the wrong way. I have never seen anyone struggle so hard with box furniture. I heard them complain but could never picture what exactly they might be having trouble with. You solved that mistery for me. Although I can still hardly believe it. 😂

As it is probably your first time building furniture on your own, you still did good. We all started somewhere. Try using a drill, it was right next to you. Some wood are very stubborn and with a screw driver it can take time and you can get blisters on your hand. When using a drill, look that the screws are in straight, otherwise nothing will fit in the end. Try watching tutorials while doing the furniture. Small note on the site, stop hitting stuff, for it to work. xD How many furnitures I accidentally broke or scratched bc I thought it was helping...To build furniture it takes time and calmness. Otherwise you probably don't get the result you want. But all of that aside, I love how your bedroom turned out. Looks so comfortable and homey. Good job!

Thank you! There were a handful of times I chose not to use the drill because the cross shape of the screw was just turning into a circle and I thought the drill was too much force, but thank you for the feedback I appreciate it 😊
I would recommend using a drill bit (if you have it available) to drill holes into the wall instead of the screwdriver bit itself. Use the screwdriver bit to help with screwing screws into thing like your bookshelf. And, use a ruler and some tape (like washi or masking tape) if you don't have a level to make sure things like your shelf brackets are, well, level.

Those are great tips, thank you!😊
For future DIYs/ renos, a bit/ tip set and a drill, in combo with your impact, will make putting things together and sinking dry wall anchors and their screws much easier. Excellent work. A completely brand new space.

Nice job mostly all by yourself! Fyi for future references, if you ever break a piece of furniture you can alway ask the company if they can send the specific broken part for a replacement. & those chairs you almost always have to sit on them for them to click into place (:

Paint, whether spray or from a can, won’t cover bleed through, which is what caused the red stains. You have to cover the piece with a clear shellac, either spray or can. Then paint and no bleed through.

A little sad to see all the color go! But it's definitely a pretty, calming space now, it looks lovely! Does the door hit the yoga mat hooks? They look like they stick out really far, and might prevent the door from opening fully.
@isabelwicker

Yeah I feel the same way that’s why I tried to incorporate a little color with the decor :( the door doesn’t fully open but it never opens because it opens more than enough for me
Cute! You need to follow the instructions more than you would see that round thing is not suppossed to come out. They cant cause the screw from the other side sticks in it. Look at the ➡️ on the round thingies you open and close them around the screw. If you open them you can pull the screws out. Love the result ❤

This was recommended by the YT algorithm 😛 In design, focal points are curated areas within a space that anchor the eye and set the tone for the rest of the room. I think the area above the cabinet has the most visual interest here but doesn’t pack enough punch for my taste. It would benefit from a bit of color and/or texture to add warmth. With that said, I like how organized and intentional everything looks. You have good taste and a great editing eye. Just my opinion as a viewer 🙂
