200cc Lounge Discord Server ► / discord
Lounge is the unofficial ranking system for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! When you wish to compete, you will play against other players of similar match-making rating (MMR). Depending on your MMR, you will place in one of the numerous ranks in Lounge:
Iron: 0-1499 MMR
Bronze: 1500-2999 MMR
Silver: 3000-4499 MMR
Gold: 4500-5999 MMR
Platinum: 6000-7499 MMR
Diamond: 7500-8999 MMR
Master: 9000-10999 MMR
Grandmaster: 11000+ MMR
Depending on your rank, you will only be eligible to compete in some of the following tiers:
Tier All: Grandmaster + Master + Diamond + Platinum + Gold + Silver + Bronze + Iron + Placement
Tier C: Gold + Silver + Iron + Bronze + Placement
Tier B: Diamond + Platinum + Gold + Silver
Tier A: Grandmaster + Master + Diamond + Platinum + Gold
If you're just getting started, you will be placed in either Iron or Bronze. You'll typically see the seasoned veterans in Platinum or above.

as someone who's 14 and is in bronze for 150cc, everyone who i play with always seems to be like 19 at the very least so maybe the summer popularity thing is just a coincidence
