It's "HARE", not "Hari". The TRUTH about ISKCon: Some of the following five points apply to practically any "religious" organization, not only to ISKCon. N.B. I refer to the founder of your pseudo-religious organization by his proper name, Mr. A. C. De and NOT the name that he is called by you ultra-fundamentalist fanatics, "Srila Prabhupada", for reasons which will become obvious when reading the following. 1. A spiritual master ought to be a member of the Holy Priesthood ("Brahmana" class ), although admittedly, some kings (such as Lord Sri Krishna, to give a perfect example) have acted TEMPORARILY as gurus. However, a worker or business owner is not a spiritual teacher. Mr. De was a member of the working-class, as his adult life was devoted to operating a pharmacy. According to the Supreme God (whom you call "Lord Krishna"), workers are not to become renounced monks at any stage of their lives (what you call "Sannyasa"). 2. Mr. De repeatedly stated in public (search KZread for some of his "sermons") that ISKCon's main purpose was cow-protection. So ISKCon is PRIMARILY a cow "protection" society, and by "protection", you mean to suckle the teats of cows, which brings me to the topic of proper diet: Food in the mode of purity promotes good physical and mental health. Such foods include (above all) fruits, vegetables, nuts, pulses, grains, roots, stumps (e.g. pineapple), flowers (e.g. cauliflower), seeds, herbs and of course purified water (or milk in the case of infants). Milk is intended solely for consumption by infants of the same species. Cow’s milk is for baby cows, not adult humans. The logic is overwhelming. 3. Although ISKCon officially teaches Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's doctrine of PANENTHEISM ("Acintya Bedabeda Tatva"), the simultaneous and inconceivable oneness but differentiation between God and God's "creation", in practice, it's founder and all members since the foundation are very much dualistic, failing to understand the simple truth that they is only ONE existence, consciousness and bliss ("sat chit ananda", "aham brahmasmi", "so'ham", "tat tvam asi"). Not only that but most ISKCon devotees will become visibly or even audibly hostile upon hearing a self-realized person declaring himself as Brahman. So much for following Vedanta! 4. Because, as mentioned previously, Mr. De was an ultra-fanatical pseudo-religious fanatic and an ignorant "shudra", none of his disciples and grand-disciples, et cetera, can ever attain to self-realization, for as Lord Jesus Christ rightly stated two millennia ago, "A student can never be greater than his teacher". Therefore, if one has ambition to become even more "realized" than Mr. De, he ABSOLUTELY must seek training from a guru who is on a higher state of spiritual understanding and realization than Mr. De or any of the current ISKCon "sannyasins". 5. My Lord, God and Master, Avatar Adi Da Samraj (www.adidam.org) has composed a Holy Scripture in which he shows that all the religious traditions of this world have practically NOTHING to do with God (with "Real God", in His words). I have realized this truth because I have been awakened to reality, I am a Buddha. I am 26. Studying in IIT now. Born and raised in a secular system with Western education. What It actually did was make me into an automaton, a cog in the machinery of the economy engine, useless otherwise. No moral system. No place for values. It's all about feeding the hungry senses. It's all about getting the money to do it. Go to a job. Work hard. Serve the industry. Watch the advertisement. Buy the product. Become a consumer. New product. Work harder to buy the next one. In the end the money goes to the capitalist. The rich gets richer and the poor becomes poorer. Is this independence? Is this even human civilisation? The brainwash of Western education is so severe that it totally deflected the course of civilisation in just a few hundred years. In just one generation it has destroyed the Original culture and people from inside out. All over the World, whether it's America, Mexico, Australia, India, Africa, the White Man's last burden has been offloaded. Now we are colored people outside and white inside. To serve the whims and Superiority complex of our white Masters. The Western Education is a thoroughly materialistic Capitalistic, industry centric system of indoctrination which completely crushes the natural creativity and twists the innate propensities of a child. It destroys the freedom of mind. It is simply like a cruelly designed Assembly line which takes young children and casts each one into a product - fit solely for feeding into and running the artificially induced economy. Otherwise useless are they. No knowledge of many many practical things in life. No knowledge of tradition. Infact induction of being ashamed of our own culture and tradition. Ashamed of our own Ancestors. And glorifying the White men who just for the sake of duty came to civilize us and give us inferiority complex. Impose their political - religious dogmas. Just for civilizing the uncivilized. No other agendas. Where's the independence? Where is liberalism as West claims? Where is equality? Infact it's victimization. The Western Education is indoctrination into materilialism, hedonism and consumerism. Blind faith in atheism, hard empiricism and blind faith in Western Science, while twisting facts to suit its needs. Hiding behind jargon and word jugglery. Hypocrisy institutionalized! The Western education is Kaliyuga education. It's a slaughterhouse for the free intellect. What I would not pay to be 'brainwashed' from an age of 5 now! Anyone who studied from a traditional Gurukul is certainly very fortunate. I want that everyone would send them children to free thinking Gurukuls and not to the Modern slaughterhouses of mind.

This is the exact attitude that they have outgrown! A Tulasi mala doesn't define your devotion and it is better to lead a normal life and still love Hari rather than wearing a Tulasi mala and be a hypocrite!

Bhagwan is the supreme, Sri Krishna is a form of Bhagwan, infinite and boundless as shown by his TRUE form that he shows Prince Arjuna. All other prayers to other gods go to him BECAUSE GOD IS ONE and all the devas emanate from that infinite being. The Veda is praised because despite the fact that it is full of “demigod” (not quote right translation really Deva) worship (especially of Indra), because they are all forms of Bhagwan, this is nonetheless a PROPER WAY to worship the infinite. The form Bhagwan/brahman took to deliver the sermon was as Krishna, born from Vishnu, but Bhagwan encompasses everything.

Everyone is born with body that has needs in order to grow and to maintain the body, to keep it busy and happy during the time one lives. This give rise to the need of constant supply of food and shelter. One can have healthy body or unhealthy with disabilities. Body goes through periods of vitality, growth, aging and fall. So, the body has periods of dependency like during childhood, old age and disability where it requires protection and supply of food. This gives rise to the need of building family and community. Body needs are connected with nature and fellow living and non-living species. Since some people gang up and get control of natural habitats, other people struggle to survive. Somebody has to compete to survive and thrive. The people who ganged up wants others to work for them for a living. There are people who don't want to work. There are people who work still they don't get enough. This gives rise to exploitation. To manage all these, a system is needed. The system is built by centralized control over essential resources. Such system give rise to money and power also gives rise to problems of fair share. To solve the problem of how to make and share resources through out one's life, we ended up with a system that naturally grows bigger and powerful that enslaves some and liberates some. As you can see how solution to one problem creates another bigger problem. Solution to the bigger problem ultimately ends into destruction and war. Root of the problem is not sharing. So, God comes and tells everybody, you are nobody whatever you have is mine, it is me who gave you what you have, I never make mistakes so don't argue with me, you don't have any intellectual property rights and I order you to share. Problem solved.

It was common practice in agricultural village to get married at 9 or 10 for girl. During that time, an 6 year old "boy" was herding (sheep, cow and buffalo), ploughing the paddy field. It was not uncommon for 15 year princess to lead an army, conquering neighbouring kingdom, and get married at 16 yo to a 10year old princess. Off course, I'm not agree with this practice now, however, I could understand why it was not an uncommon practice in Asia.

Sounds like just another 'cult' with charismatic leader(s) to me and a form of mass hypnosis.
