Comparison of Travelpro Maxlite 5 and Platinum Elite 21" spinners
I was choosing between these two models of Travelpro luggage and figured before I sent back the one I am not keeping, I'd show you the specific differences.
The video does not show the larger pockets on the front of the suitcase (sorry), which are practically identical between the two. Neither of those pockets have a secondary padded pocket for a laptop, like some other Travelpro luggage.
My first product review... plenty to improve on, but have to start somewhere...
0:00 Opening
2:00 Front pockets
3:29 Handles
5:35 Tag slot and USB
7:06 Wheels
8:04 Main compartment
10:52 Wheels (reprise)

A million thanks for taking the time to do this.
I wish more "review" videos were like this one. Not so much about what the reviewer likes or thinks but actually showing on camera the arguments.
Great honest sounding review, just picked up the Platinum Elite and this confirms my purchase.
Thanks for the review. Helpful explanation and demonstration of the MagnaTrac system in the wheels. Seems like TravelPro has created the best luggage wheel system.
Thanks Pal!!You really did a good job then because of you, I'm gonna choose de Elite for sure 😊😊☺️
Thanks for the review!
Thank you for the review.
Thank you. Just what I was looking for
Great comparison
needed this! thank you!
Great review! Thank you!
Really appreciate this esp since I'm looking at the same two
Thank you for this
Very helpful - thanks!
For the price difference, the maxlite seems to be a bargain. Has most of the great features.

Buy once, cry once. Buy the one you really want and enjoy it for a long time. Over the lifetime of use the price doesn’t matter as much.
Fantastic review 👍🏽👍🏽and Can you use the platinum elite 21 as a carry on JetBlue or delta or American airlines without being charged a carry-on fee cause I wanna buy one for my trip in next year and how many clothes can fit inside of it and can you put a pair of shoes or sneakers with your clothes and still have room
I’m trying to decide between the platinum and the versapack. There isn’t much info on the differences. Any advice?
Any difference in upright stability between the two? I have a Maxlite5 that always tips over when it's full. Irritates the hell out of me every time I'm at an airport. Wondering if the Elite model can defy physics and is less tippy?

wife has the 25" eilte (brand new...her first trip with it): we just returned from a new york/cruise/montreal trip with multiple hotel moves. my old 28" Samsonite was very tippy and hard to wrangle. I found her elite 25" dreamy. No tipping. Not sure if she ever had it expanded though. I will add that she had a small duffel hanging from the handle, which also didn't make the overall bag tippy. Her bag was packed to about 49 lbs (it was JUUSSSSSTTTT under the limit, as was mine)
Great comparison, thanks. This isn't tiktook though, turn your phone round the right way 😀
Nice video!! Thank you. I'm going to splurge on the more expensive model now. Ehat battery charging thing are tou using, Fred? Thank you.
the weight of the bags are almost 2.5 pounds. also the capacity is 46/53. Is it worth the weight for the capacity?
Thank you for the video. So now that you've had your bag for over a year, how is it holding up in your travels?
I sent my Maxlite back as well. i found it to be too flimsy
Was there any problems, dimension wise, as a carry on?
It would have been so much better using a tripod or getting a friend to hold your phone/camera while you showed the features. Good review but is the Elite worth $300 more???
No dimension or weights so a useless review

More like a useless comment. Weights and sizes are on the company's website.
