The writing on the back of the tab on 35 is a sir name of the owner. It says Tamai. Common sir name in Japan. Lots of people wrote their name on their bags before. When you buy vintage bags from Japan, you see this often. By the way, I am Japanese living in US.

Actually the speedy 30 was the first size. Made in the monogram material and it was the first handbag design LV came up with. After seeing it Audrey wanted a bit smaller than the 30 so they came up with the 25 just for her! 😊

TammyOful makes sense since her frame is small. I got a 25 I am taller and more curvey as they say and it looked to small my sister is petite it looked great on her had to return and go with the 30.

Correct! Audrey Hepburn sent that request to LV in 1961, the size “25” (speedy 25) was then created.

I love my vintage Speedy 30. Bought it pre-loved so I don’t stress about the leather. Bought a small organizer, so it’s still slouchy, but has a little bit of structure. It needed a small repair, so I got a great deal and took it to LV for the fix! Love it!

I prefer the 30, but that definitely depends on your lifestyle. I don't have to carry a lot of things, but occasionally I need some more room in my bag and therefore I go for the 30. I've had two Speedy 25 bags in my collection and I didn't keep any of them for a long time since I never reached for them.

I think the speedy was released in the 1930s in the size 30. I think Audrey Hepburn requested a smaller bag and that was the 25, which was released in the 1960s. Audrey Hepburn did help it become the "it" bag we all now love so much :)

if the information back then was like it is now, you'll get several answers. LV information depends on who at LV you are speaking to and what time of day it is...but we all know Audrey is associated with the speedy🦄

I love the Speedy 25's and have all three of them. Due to my petite size, I cannot carry a larger bag. Small luggage goods are perfect for organization. I like your Speedy 35 as well.

I have all three as well lol! I agree the 35 really isn't as big as everyone states. When I first saw it, I thought it was the 30 but it's the perfect size to use as a work bag as it has plenty of room to carry my gym and swimming gear for my after work sessions.

It's not difficult to tell an authentic Louis Vuitton handbag by seeing the leather. I buy pre-owned designer items from Japan; people there well take care of their items....

Hi I know this is an old review but just wanted to ask if you’ve ever tried the speedy 40b? I have been on the hunt for the perfect travel bag and initially I thought totes were the way to go so I bought the LV Iena MM which is like a neverful With zips and pockets. I have used it a few times on flights and I have found it too small and tight for my things. The Iena is 13” at the bottom and 16” at the top, 10.5” height and 6.5 inches depth. I always carry a neck pillow or mini pillow and I’m Wondering whether it would fit in a speedy 35. I’m sure it would fit in a speedy 40. I am 5’6 in height. Would love to hear your ideas.

Just this week I picked up a 35 from eBay just like hers except I wanted a birth year bag so mine is early 80s. She is worn but canvas is tough and I plan to toss her around/travel w her etc. I highly recommend so far!

Autumn, Hi! Loved your video . Very informative. I want to buy a Speedy Bandouliere as travel purse with comfortable shoulder straps for a long “travel”. How comfortable are the shoulder strap in Speedy B in DE? Does it dig into your shoulders when bag is stuffed and heavy? I’m in my 50s, 5’3” in height and being on curvy side; and have weak shoulders. I’m medically adviced against carrying my handbag on my shoulder but its ok if I carry my handbag hand held and crossbody. I’ve seen and read that the leather shoulder straps used in Damier Ebene print canvas are very hard and stiff and don’t “break in” even after use? Is it true? Due to comfort of strap I’m inclined for Mono print but the delicacy of vachetta strap i.e. no water touching it while travel puts me off. Do u think I should buy Speedy B in DE and buy a bandouliere strap seperately? I have foll. essentials - travel documents pouch i.e. tickets, passports, boarding pass etc.; sarah wallet; 2 iphones in plus sizes; mini pochette (medicines); 6key holder; cles (coins); long champ 3coin purses; pouch carying liquid items; long champ fabric pouch as catchall; iPad pro (small); wet wipes and tissues. Will it fit? Which size is better - speedy b 30 or 35? What is your feedback? Please advice. I will really appreciate it. Thanks!

I don't have a Speedy B so I can't help with your questions about the strap. Sorry. It's difficult to say for sure without seeing all the items you mentioned but I think they would fit in the Speedy 30. The Speedy 35 is quite large, FYI. I would advise you to look at the bags in person if you can.

No because I don't mind attaching a strap to the metal pieces on the handles. I don't care for the look of the strips of leather on the sides of the bandoulier bags and also don't like the look of the strap with the extender piece on it because the end of the strap sticks out by your shoulder.

I have a 25, multiple 30s, and multiple 35s. I also have a 40 bandoliere I use for overnight travel. I think the 30 is the perfect. The 35 is great if you just like a big bag.

Autumn i have a 25 with a lock hanging from the tab thingy. I can't find the key. do you have any idea how i can get it off because yes it is pulling and making an 0 on the tab. I tried another key set but it doesn't work on my 25 lock. oy

Look for the number on the bottom of the lock then search for a key with that number on ebay or etsy. I've done that before.

I watch a video on KZread and got it open with a metal nail file. Can use a small knife aswell. It was so easy to do and bam open

stumbled upon this video and I love it, it showed me just how different each side is and I must admit I'm struggling between if I should get the 25 I have the 30 but I feel its to big and that I stuff to much into it.... however I feel because im not that tall of a girl im about 5'4 and curvy so im worried if I get the 25 it'll look super funny on a plus size girl :(

I understand. I'm 5'3" and curvy and I don't think small bags are the best choice for me either. Since you already have the 30 and feel it's too big then the 25 might be perfect for you. It's not as small as you might think...certainly not like a mini bag. I hope that helps.

Gee, not trying to criticize you honey but do you have ANY self-awareness? All you've done is judge me by appearance and everything you've said to me has been criticism. You came to my channel, watched my video, made assumptions about me based on my appearance, and rather than leave a comment about the content of the video you instead chose to write "Lol where did you get the money to buy these 3 bags?" which you later explained by saying "You just don't look like the type of girl to carry designer bags." From these two statements it is clear that you have an image in your mind of how women (by the way, we're women not girls) who carry designer bags should look and you decided I don't fit this image. You've also connected this image to financial status. That, my friend, is called a stereotype. Here's Google's definition: a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. You also backed up your stereotype by saying I "could have stepped it up presentation wise" since I do "these types of videos." What you have been saying to me is that I don't fit the stereotypical appearance (in your mind) of a woman who carries designer bags and that I need to alter my appearance to fit that image. So I have a few questions for you. Again, I'm not asking you to answer them here, just offering some assistance with your self-awareness (by the way, I have a background in social and personality psychology). What is the image you have in your mind of women who carry designer bags? Where did that image originate, what perpetuates it, and why do you hold that image in your mind? Why do you think I need to fit into the box you've designed in your mind that describes women who carry these bags? When you saw that I don't fit in that box, what is it about you that made you feel the need to comment and tell me not only that I don't fit your stereotype but that I need to change things about myself so I do fit it? Consider that question especially in the context of the fact that you decided not to leave any other comment about the actual content of my video. Lastly, what are you going to do to release that image (and others you may hold about other groups of people) and to open your mind to the fact that people don't fit in boxes? Again, I suggest you question and analyze your stereotypes, especially before dropping them on other people.
