And the UCL Is a trophy that you play every year, the World Cup is a unique Trophy that Is played every 4 years. The World Cup Is special, they few people that won It entered the Olympus of world football, even if you dont win the trophy and you reach the final its still a great archievement. Its the tournament were all nations give their best for succes, were the Legends show their full potential, take Cruyiff in 1974, Maradona in 1986 Ronaldo in 2002 or Baggio in 1994 as example. That's why Cricket is shit compared to Football. Where WC Fifa will consist 48 in the next edition, WCC is still for 10-12 countries. Small teams like Morocco, Japan, Korea, Croatia, Ghana can rise as big threat. But in cricket, tell me is there any example of this? No. Cricket will forever remain as 10 country so called World cup. It's not, the cost estimated of UCL Trophy is 130k (no one know the real price, we only know that the first trophy cost in 1966 10k Swiss Franc - actually 30k euros more or less. Today there is the 6th trophy, the other 5 are owned by Real Madrid, Ajax, Bayern, Milan and Liverpool). 50k is probably the cost of the replica that UEFA give to the winners.

To calculate the intangible value, you'd have to see what people are spending to win it. The teams spend over 300 million on winning that cup, so what is it's actual value?

@@tonysoprano5655 not 100%. The FIFA World Cup weight is 6.175 kg, but "only" 4.9 kg is gold, but not pure gold, it's 18k gold (4.9*75% = 3.6). So the trophy is 50% gold and 50% other materials. Value? 134k euros more or less.

A lot of Trophy values in this video are wrong. The cost of Lombardi Trophy is 50k but it's made with 7pounds of sterling silver, value? Less than 2k. The Ballon D'or is made of golden plated brass and cost 13k not 600k. Only an idiot can think that a magazine (France football) can spend 600k every year. The cost of the actual Champions League Trophy (it's the sixth trophy, made in 2005 after Liverpool received the original when they won their 5th Champions) is estimated in 130k euros (no one know how much UEFA spent to buy it). But it's made with 7.5 kg of pure silver (839*7.5 = 6292.5 euros). So its value is only 6292 euros. The America's Cup cost was 100 guineas (the cup is called the 100 Guineas Cup), around 105 pounds in 1851, today the value of 105 pounds in 1851 is 14755 pounds, not 250k. The Stanley Cup Trophy is made of Silver and Nickel, its value is around 23k dollars, anyway Lord Stanley bought the fist trophy (the actual trophy is the second and its a identical replica of the first) for 10 guineas (48$) in 1890s, today 48$ of 1890 is 1500 dollars more or less.
